Sorry about your situation, but just because your stepmother is taking care of you should have never made you neglect your own mother. Your mom won't love you today and hate you tomorrow like she's doing, I'm not saying you shouldn't be grateful but don't be stupid, and how dare you refuse to see your own mother, do you know how that makes a mother feel? Your father seem like someone who can't handle the situation. I will advice you to go back to your mom except she's abusing you, she'll always find a means to take care of you. You are a man now, find crafts to lay your hands on and support your mom. |

Sinkills: Let me tell you how I personally verified His existence, status and saving efficacy. I simply believed, confessed my sins and repented from them. I had peace of mind and assurance that my sins had been forgiven. I received the power to overcome the sins that previously conquered me. Will you do same? I pray you do. Sinkills: As for He being the highest deity, I know that God is the highest deity and that Jesus is the Son of God, a member of the Triune God, God Who became man for the salvation of lost humanity. Just believe, repent and get saved from sin and its consequences. Shalom! You say you know but fail to give proofs. It's really disturbing. I have peace of mind and i cannot Just believe. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Christianity A Religion? by Pdizzle(m): 8:14am On Aug 08, 2016 |
Sinkills: Thanks for your question. Sin refers to disobedience to God, unrighteousness or wrong doing. It includes telling of lies, deception, false accusation, anger, hatred, stealing, pride, immorality, fighting, quarelling, smoking, drunkeness and idol worship. Everybody on the face of the earth is guilty by (adamic) nature, by choice and by commission. Therefore we all need salvation and such can be gotten only through Christ Jesus. How do i verify the existence of Jesus and his status as the highest deity? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Christianity A Religion? by Pdizzle(m): 4:18pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
Sinkills: Sorry friend. I am not really particular about what people from other religions or Christians think or claim. I am also not interested in vocabulary, lexicography or semantics of religion. All I am interested is that you and others should by the grace of God be saved from sin and the wrath to come. And the truth is that salvation is only in Christ. Forget religion! Come to Christ in genuine repentance and submission. He will forgive you all your sins, wash you clean, change your life and write your name in the Book of Life in heaven. You will be forever glad you did. What is sin? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Christianity A Religion? by Pdizzle(m): 8:36am On Aug 07, 2016 |
Sinkills: It takes a person who has actually encountered Christ and whose life has been transformed to realize that what he has experienced and possess is not religion, but Christ within. Sincerely, I urge you to repent and accept Christ into your life as Lord and Saviour. Certainly, your view of what it means to be a Christian viz a viz religion will change which others will still not understand. Shalom. People from other religion also this way. Why are you people so hung up over mere meaning of an english word. I put up the different definitions of religion there, dispute it all one after the other. You people can claim you're not ritualistic, which still ain't true. |

johnydon22: Alright i might write a story on it, you know portray it in a story-like manner just like my "Untold story of Job" Untold story of Job is an oscar material, don't be surprised when you see something like it on TV but with toned down confrontation to Christianity and Judaism. Those Spielbergs and Torantinos spy everywhere. If you're going to do something like that, make the episodes shorter for the sake of lazy readers, it will be very good if there's a large audience. And don't forget to include comparisons with the Asian countries to know where we went wrong. |

johnydon22: Cc. Pdizzle hahn.. here it is Nice thread johny, this is like the aftermath of what i'm looking for. I'm actually very interested in how our sense of being got stomped upon. What actually transpired when both races came in contact. We had our social systems and institutions in place, how did they got trumped upon. Obviously they won and the aftermath is what we are seeing today, but another point of reason is the asian countries, who despite being defeated; retained their culture and religion and are still even more developed than us. I know the slave trade did a lot of damage to our self esteem, but we really failed our ancestors. I'll start my research when i have time. |

Op, I am interested in reading about how the African intellect was stomped by the introduction of the Abrahamic religions on our soil.
I personally feel that our ignorance of the history of Islam and Christianity plays a huge role in the acceptance of these ideas by Africans. Plus the slavery that came with it.
Someone should create a thread about it abeg. I'm interested in that too. I'll see what i can get. This thread is really enlightening. |

kilo4sure: Modified above. The truth about the bible is that you can find your way around it, and give so many interpretations. The case of Galileo and Corpenicus remains valid. Even the pope apologized about it in 2001. Augustine found his own way around it. But the truth is the truth, the earth has no pillars or foundation. God is not the author of confusion, no? |
Christianity Etc › Re: What's the Contributions Of Christianity To The Modern Science And Technology? by Pdizzle(m): 9:56pm On Jul 31, 2016 |
kilo4sure: Galileo and who again? Also note that the church had problems with many other Christians, and Gallileo himself was a Christian, nor did he blame Christianity for the problem he had with the church. Funny how you could only name Galileo as the scientist the church had problem with. There's no obstacle to science for the Christian mind. Galileo was a Christian, what/who is to blame for the problems he had with the church? You didn't answer my last question, let me ask another; Do you believe the earth have pillars? |

kilo4sure: How do you know they made impact when they ventured out of their beliefs? Can you prove this? What's there to prove? Galileo had problems with the church for saying the earth is rotating and sun is not. If you really believe the tower of babel story, would you nurse the idea of being an astronaut, talkless venture into the sky? |

Science is not anyway related to Christianity, scientists who were Christains made impact when they ventured out of their beliefs. If they were how ever related the bible should be a blueprint to many scientific discoveries we have today. |

When a heart is broken
When a heart is broken Food tastes like pain Memories keep dripping From where your heart was slain
When a heart is broken You curse and you hate And sometimes so bad You wish you were late
When a heart is broken Your fireplace is wet It once burns with rage Now a spark is hard to get
When a heart is broken Fear what it brings Like lots of baby scorpions The pieces stings
When a heart is really broken It pains, it pains, it hurts It pains, it pains, it pains It pains, it pains, a lot
