Elizabeth Warren and Biden will receive ZERO delegates from New Hampshire! It’s safe to say it’s time for both candidates to drop out.
PoliticsSecond Niger Bridge Ready In 2022 by PDPGuy(op): 6:38pm On Feb 11, 2020
*Fashola unhappy over delay on Onitsha -Enugu expressway*

The second Niger bridge project embarked upon by the federal government will be ready in February 2022, says the contractor handling the project, Julius Berger PLC.

Its project supervisor, Friedrich Wieser, gave the assurance on Tuesday when the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola visited the project.

He said the work had reached 23 percent completion, adding that they had 1,300 people working on the Bridge while over 400 were on the site already.

He narrated that about seven kilometres of the road had been sand filled, adding that the sand improvement would be completed in September.

Wieser further said they had not heard any challenge since work started on the bridge, thereby countering the allegation that the Communities were demanding for compensation from the contractors.

Fashola, who equally visited the federal housing project at Isiagu, in Awka South local government area and the ongoing Enugu -Onitsha expressway, however said he was not pleased with the pace of work.

Inspecting the expressway, the Minister said told the contracting Firm, Reynold Construction Company (RCC) that he would not want the next rain to catch up with the project again.

But the Controller of Works in Anambra State, Adeyemo Ajani, said they had covered 14 kilometres, while only four kilometers was remaining.

At the second Niger Bridge, Fashola ,said the project was on schedule, adding that he believed the Firm handling the project that the facility would be handed over to them in February, 2022 as planned

According to him:”I’m never satisfied until I see the end of the project. They have to double their work force and that is what President Muhammadu Buhari wants ”

“You can see that work has been going on since this project started even at the drop of oil price . This present administration is determined to make Nigerians smile again.”

Well, Oladipo could still turn up for D’Tigers cos he is not guaranteed a place on the US Olympic roster.

Do you realize that the Social security is deducted from your paycheck, You contribute to social security and medicare with the hope of getting those care when you are retired or old

The old Eastern bloc, Venezuela, Cuba are examples of Socialism and how have they fared
Sir, that's why I say America, is at best, a mixed economy. In a capitalist country, the people pay taxes to the government, no doubt about it.

But in a purely capitalist society, the government has no business collecting taxes from people in order for the same government to pay the same folks once they hit the age of retirement. Instead, individuals should be wholly responsible for planning for life after retirement. We wouldn't need the government to 'help' us put away some money for retirement.

Now, I would never support the complete elimination of private health insurance from the marketplace, because I'm not sure a single-payer system would be more cost-efficient that what we have now. Instead, I will always support having a government option, as is practiced in Canada.

Akhator was very poor today. The team needs more big bodies in the paint. Chinenye Ogwumike is a player I think we should go for. She recently retired to join ESPN but she is only 27. I think if she joins us we will get to that next level.
I totally agree with the bolded. One factor that aided the Serbs was their superior physical stature, which they put to maximum use.
I wish Coach Otis would call up a certain 6’9” Aiyeotan to the squad

A creditable 4th quarter performance.. The 2nd quarter was very poor from Nigeria, and that's what cost D'Tigress the game.

Had it been that they shot much better, and pressed the Serbs a bit more, this game may have gone into overtime. But it's a good learning curve for the team ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.

We committed too many fouls and missed some free throws..

But nevertheless, it wasn't a bad first half..
Considering the fact the Serbia are ranked higher and have home advantage..
Yeah

In truth, the shooting was terrible in the 2nd quarter. For some reason, the ball wasn’t entering the net huh
The defense isn’t bad, they’ve only been hindered by Kalu and Elonu’s 2 and 3 fouls respectively. If not, they’d be a little more aggressive in defense.

I just hope the team’s shooting improves drastically in the second half!

It’s funny when people say the US is a “capitalist” country; yet we have a federal-run Social Security program and corporate welfare, amongst other welfare programs.
The same people who are against “evil” socialism have no issues with receiving Medicare benefits - another government program. grin

Democratic-socialism is all about ensuring that workers, who are the engine of the economy are treated fairly. Also, DS comes along with a healthcare system that ensures that folks wouldn’t be bankrupted by astronomical medical bills. Yes, Medicare-For-All is a desirable program which would be of benefit to everyone.

With the Iowa caucus concluded, realistically which of the candidates do you think stands a chance against Trump?

Did you watch CNN yesterday, they were almost all in panic mode that no one stands a chance against Trump

The top 3 were Mayor Pete, Sanders and Warren, Do you realistically think they will win any states outside the regular blue coastal states

Biden is going broke and was begging donors on the conference calls yesterday to still hang tight with him
The one candidate with a realist chance to defeat Trump is Bernie Sanders (or Tulsi Gabbard).

Yes, people say he is uber socialist, but his Midwestern bonafides will give Trump a run for his money in the key swing states of the Rust-belt. Sanders has a greater connection with the blue-collar/middle class voter in those Rust-belt states than any establishment Dem in the field.
