Politics › The United States-Nigeria Open Skies Air Transport Agreement Enters Into Force by PDPGuy(op): 4:52pm On May 21, 2024*. Modified: 3:26am On May 22, 2024 |
The U.S.-Nigeria Air Transport Agreement, which has been provisionally applied since 2000, entered into force on May 13, 2024. This bilateral agreement establishes a modern civil aviation relationship with Nigeria consistent with U.S. Open Skies international aviation policy and with commitments to high standards of aviation safety and security. The agreement includes provisions that allow for unrestricted capacity and frequency of services, open route rights, a liberal charter regime, and open code-sharing opportunities.
This agreement with Nigeria is a step forward in liberalizing the international civil aviation sector in Africa and further expands our strong economic and commercial partnership, promotes people-to-people ties, and creates new opportunities for airlines, travel companies, and customers. With this agreement, air carriers can provide more affordable, convenient, and efficient air services to travelers and shippers, which in turn promotes tourism and commerce. https://www.state.gov/the-united-states-nigeria-open-skies-air-transport-agreement-enters-into-force/ |

I think deres anoda Nigerian midfielder too aside ugochukwu in Chelsea? I’m not so sure, especially following Olise’s snub by France. I also recall Fikayo Tomori being one of the top 5 center backs in the Serie A two years ago, yet he was snubbed by England for the World Cup |

They will rather wait out Tinubu
The other option is for the North to take over in 2027 through Atiku with the help of Obi The likes of Shettima and El-Rufai would surely prefer Tinubu to complete his 8 years too |

LOVEALAIGBO: I admire the optimism of anyone thinking the ‘federal gov’t’ will be interested in completing the international terminal at AIIA! Even if they do manage to recommence works at the terminal, they certainly wouldn’t give the construction the adequate funds and attention needed to finish it quickly and according to spec!
This terminal is important to the economy of Enugu in particular and the south-east in general, and the criminal neglect it faced over the ENTIRE 8 year tenure of Buhari and his sidekick Hadi-Sirika is just one example of how our people and region are being cheated by greedy and bigoted hegemonic schmucks whose main purpose in life seems to be undermining Igbo economic and political interests!
In 2015, Buhari and Hadi-Sirika met 5 international terminals at roughly the same level of completion. And they proceeded to finish 4….even taking the time to approve extra funds to improve the design and scope of work on the 4 terminals! They finished all 4, which are now in use, but left just one untouched, and left it to to gather cobwebs and dust! There’s no prizes for guessing which one they ignored! The best course of action would be for ENSG to apply to the FG to concession the entire airport to the state (and a reputable company with experience in managing airports). With the airport out of the hands of the FG, I am willing to bet that the airport’s infrastructure would always be maintained and improved on time. |

raumdeuter: In a trial, how much weight is given to the testimony of a person convicted to have lied under oath before?
That is the angle I see Trumps defence towing with Michael Cohen
With Stormy they already have her on record saying she hates him and will want him to go to jail
Which is why this hush money trial is just a waste of time. IMO it has made a conviction almost impossible and opened room for an appeal even before verdict
The real cases that could have carried weight are not going to be heard before election Not much weight is given to the testimony of such a person, especially when opposing counsel effectively impeaches that witness’s character via cross-examination. Attorney Todd Blanche (what a name!) has done a decent job in portraying Cohen as an untrustworthy witness by getting Cohen to admit, during cross exam, that he had severally lied to the Feds |

bemeruca: Biden is seriously confused and desperate. all of a sudden he is the one that is proposing a debate as his approval rating tanks and Trump is in the lead in the polls.
they fixed it on 27th June. for me, I think Trump should not take it, especially on a network like CNN. even if Biden messes up, CNN can personally set up Trump and make him look angry and aggressive. Well, Trump has already accepted the offer. And both candidates have agreed to another debate, in September, to be moderated by ABC. The only mainly point of contention is whether there would be a live audience at the debate venues… |

Update:
As of today, Nigeria will be represented by 69 athletes across 10 different sports.
But that number could swell to over 80 athletes if all six boxers, being sent to an Olympic qualification tournament in Thailand in the middle of this month, advance to the Olympics. Also, our womens 4x400m relay team, currently ranked amongst the top 2 nations that are yet to qualify for the Olympics, will most likely punch their tickets to Paris at the African Athletics Championships in June.
BTW, the record number of accredited athletes Nigeria has sent to a Summer Olympics is 83 - the number of athletes who represented Nigeria at the Sydney 2000 Games. |

Since April 2024, when California’s $20/hr minimum wage law for fast food workers went into effect, McDonalds has cut 1,200 CA-based jobs, while Pizza Hut has similarly cut 1,300 jobs..
Moreover, Pizza Hut and Papa Johns have also laid off ALL their delivery drivers in California. Yikes! |

raumdeuter: And why will Atiku trust Ekwueme to run just for 4years, Have you seen any politician who ran just for 4yrs and willingly dropped out like they always promise when rubbing for their first term?
In 2003, Atiku had the option of sticking with OBJ who has 4 more years constitutionally or going for Ekwueme who will start his own 4yrs and constitutionally have 8yrs
No be so power reach OBJ and GEJ hand and he changed it for them all I get your point. I was thinking that Ekwueme’s age, then (I believe he was in his mid 70s) would have made Ekwueme to only run for one term. Yeah, I agree that he could have waited for OBJ’s 8 years; or even backed GEJ in 2015, as he would have won the PDP primary in 2019 |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by PDPGuy: 6:27pm On May 13, 2024 |
Ibime: lol, you are assuming Ekwueme would win in 2003, dreams can come true. Ekwueme had a plausible chance of winning that primary because most PDP governors were firmly in the pocket of Atiku. And those governors would have followed Atiku’s instructions on who to vote for at the primary |
