Nigerian singer, Olawale Olofooro professionally known as Brymo has asserted that he is not sorry for his comments on the chances of an easterner becoming president of the country.

The artist has come under fire for claiming that an Igbo presidency would just be a “pipe dream” because of the drive for Biafra.

In his words, ” As long as there (are) talks by prominent people from Igboland about Biafra, an Igbo presidency will be a pipe dream,” Brymo tweeted.

He drew more criticisms when he added that voting for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was not “prudent”.

Brymo claimed he was not sorry in response to Netizen’s criticism of him on his remarks.

“Dear Easterners, I’m not sorry,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Sorry??… I should apologize right?.

” Dem wan send se scope beg for apology .. mad o!!.”

The Anambra Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mark Okoye, has said 250 illegal revenue collectors have been arrested and charged to court.

Mr Okoye, who said this while briefing journalists in Awka on Friday, said the government would ensure that justice was done to serve as a deterrent to erring citizens.

“We implore the public to shun any act that goes against the developmental vision of the state as the government would not hesitate to lawfully deal with any defaulter,” Mr Okoye said.

The commissioner said the government under the watch of Willie Obiano was committed to delivering democratic dividends to the people.

Mr Okoye said the state government had presented a realistic budget to the state lawmakers for the year 2020 and assured the residents of better days ahead.

He urged all citizens to ensure they played their roles by paying their taxes, dues and levies to enable the government provide basic human amenities for their enjoyment.

Mr Okoye said the state government had implemented the 2019 budget up to 85 per cent and assured that by end of the year, the budget would be reasonably implemented.

“We scaled down on the size of 2020 budget because we are a realistic government and we intend to have a people-oriented budget,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sylvia Nwachukwu-Ngige, Head, Tax Payer Education, Publicity and Enlightenment Team in Anambra state Revenue office, corroborated the claims of the commissioner.

something I don't actually appreciate is this action of Nigerian to label people with certain names, it doesn't speak well of your character and person. You went to school and you should have sense more than what you display here, it will be more painful if you are Yoruba cos we are raised better than this. Our "sting and venom" is only in the event of been cornered and as a defence (hope you will understand that statement)
Back to the matter, I can actually present another argument on what Buhari has done about Gumi and the bandits. Gumi knows them and spoke with them, you can't force Gumi to show you were they are, yes his statement many times were pro bandits. Obi's actions looks to be what Nigeria government doesn't want to do: negotiate and find a lasting solution to banditry
