Christianity EtcRe: Did God Use Evolution To Create The Different Types Of Life? by Pecuman: 10:39pm On Aug 26, 2023
I don't know why people think evolution don't jive with Christianity when none of the 4 Apostolic congregations think that evolution can't jive with Christianity.

Black Americans aren't not African but a subset of African. The reason we shouldn't be pandering to them isn't because they aren't African but because a Hausa man isn't pandering to a Swahili or Shona man, so why should an Igbo or Yoruba man pander to Aframs?

There is quite a difference between zero evidence and insufficient evidence. Like quoting verses certainly is evidence, that video you posted also quoted verses.

Theories on YHWH's origin have as little evidence as the video you dismissed. Some faux etymological tie to "to blow" is no more evidence than the guy that made the dragon video quoting a dozen verses.

Stop being autistic about terminology, you well know what we mean when we refer to a people's/folk's religion. If we didn't nobody would be talking about Igbo, Yoruba or etc religion.

Whatever you want to call it, this "worshipped local gods" still has the same issues I outlined above.

What are the speculations?
Big one is assuming the Israelite religion was uniformly polyethistic or monotheistic(not exactly the right term but I'll keep using it) when the scriptures actually show Monotheistic prophets having to constantly compete against polytheistic priests.

Which Prophet isn't recorded competing against polytheists?.

There are also assumptions on who YHWH "originally" was that are just based on very fragmentary evidence. That's why there's like a billion speculations on "what god YHWH" originally was from storm to war to a dragon

if you read this thread more your will see that Yorùbá Muslims and Christians are tolerant only if Muslims don't claim their rights or if muslims remain silent on politics and religion. So what they mean by tolerance is in as much as Muslim are cheated and smiling, attend church with their friends, family, listen to church prayers etc. Then Yorùbá people are "tolerate". But the moment muslims say they want to use hijab at schools and public places, they want to contest in election, they want to build Islamic banking, they want to created employment etc, then muslims are intolerant and they want to Islamize Nigeria. You get it?. This ongoing Muslim-Muslim ticket saga should already have you a clue. And besides, if you want to know who's tolerant and who is not please read 1994 Christian manifesto and pay attention to what they said thein. Sheet you read it, kindly return here and tell me Christians are there most "tolerant" people..

You can find their manifesto in one of my threads.

whatever happened, question remains the same
. Why only Christians that are complaining?. The same thing affected Muslim mission schools and we don't hear Muslims complain.

Example of tolerance is, Tinubu goes to church with his wife to pray. This is what Yorùbá called tolerance. But did you ever seen his wife, Remi Tinubu followed him to mosque to pray?. If his wife followed him to mosque Tinubu wood be called extremist and intolerant for not allowing his wife to practice her religion.

So there idea that Yorùbá people are tolerate is a scam.
Whoa, it has been a while and I asked around. The very fact that the reason that the wife can't be there with the husband in the mosque is because of Mosque gender segregation laws shows that you and the other Muslim that made that post are being dishonest.

CultureRe: Delta (and Rivers) Igbos by Pecuman: 11:57am On Aug 26, 2023
Probz:
I’ve researched this topic for time and my understanding is that there's three distinct groups in Anioma (Delta Ibo) - two Edoid-Igboid (Ika, Ukwuani/Ndokwa) and one Igbo proper (Enuani), that the latter (the only genuine, authentic Igbos who inhabit Delta Igboland) can be found around Asaba/Oshimili/Aniocha area, that "Bendel Igbos," as my mum calls them, (Ika and Ukwuani people) are culturally Edoid groups who happen to speak Igboid languages and that close proximity and the vague similarity in language is why a people who are essentially Bini are lumped in with the real Delta Igbos (Enuani). In exactly the same sense as that if true Yorubas occupied an area in (let's just say) Delta State with Igalas and Itsekiris, all three groups would all be known as "Delta Yoruba" since they're all linguistically Yoruboid and because they'd share neighbouring proximity with each other, forgetting that there's only one true group of Yorubas who inhabit that area - i.e., the Yorubas, not the other two non-culturally Yoruba groups who happen to speak Yoruboid languages (and not even Yoruba proper).

I tend to agree with the assertion that one and only true Igbos of Anioma are Enuani since I've encountered Enuani Igbos who hail from Asaba who are in literally every respect just as Igbo as a typical south easterner from Enugu or Anambra and the Ika-Ukwuani (Bendel) stock people who speak languages that share similarities with Igbo but who you couldn't in a million years imagine sipping palmy and chopping nkwobi in Ishiagu and red cap. grin

Ditto for Rivers folk. I know authentic Igbos can be found in the Bonny-Opobo axis (said to be, at least in part, descendants of settlers from the Awka-Orlu axis) but as for Ikwerres, does the fact that they happen to speak an Igboid language mean that they're also culturally Igbo (or at least before the civil war) and could someone fill me in on the other Igboid/Igbo groups of Rivers (Etche, Ndoni, etc.). I've looked for info. online and there's next to nothing on Wikipedia at least for Etches.

My question is, could someone fill me in on the Ikas and Ukwuanis of Delta and the Ikwerre, etc., of Rivers? Ika and Ukwuani definitely don't fall under the banner of Igbo proper but Igboid in a linguistic sense (even if you might well argue that their dialect is more intelligible than Nsukka/Ebonyi dialects) but are these people culturally Igbo or Edoid, etc.? I've only researched this for some time so my understanding's limited but that's the conclusion through reading and my own experiences with some of these folk.
There are Yoruba people in the region as well and they speak a Yoruba language. Why would Edo people of the Edo Empire which was dominant adopt Igbo language when other non Igbos in the area kept their language?.

The fact that you take the fringe Ikwerre are Edo story as a fact doesn't help the argument. Pre war, only like 3 Ikwerre communities claimed some Edo origin and even there it was a story of an edo prince ruling them not they all coming from Edo.

Sipping Palm wine isn't an Igbo thing, it extends as far south as Congo at least and there's the issue there, taking Anambra practices as what "Igbo" is, as if we all migrated from Anambra a few years ago.
Christianity EtcRe: Yahweh(god) Of Old Testament Is Satan - Scriptural Proof Inside by Pecuman: 11:50am On Aug 26, 2023
Talk to a Jew, like an actual one.

They believe God in some sense is responsible for everything as well, he's God he has the power to do anything and everything occurs as such under permissive will.

There's also a trend in autobiographies to put in some variation, like how our our histories do. Complimentary Variation tho, that trend is only well documented in Greek works to the best of my knowing so it is probably the first two paragraphs that are the answer.

Hhaha, this one you posted is the "Modernist" version of Igbo territory.
Ethnologists are not stupid.

Again, look at ANOTHER map of TRUE speakers of Igbo. Not political Igbo.

Again it agrees with all my points. Northern Enugu - OUT. Ebonyi - OUT, Anioma - OUT, Arochukwu - OUT
Again, let me mention that it isn't accurate, but it is close.

Every serious academic work confirms everything i have been saying on this thread while you remain there and keep lying to all our very faces.
The true Igbo believes in ''Egbe'belu - Ugo'belu'' i.e Live and let live.

But these days, Igbos like yourself and others have become desperate land grabbers looking for relevance everywhere.

Look at a comprehensive Linguistic map of Africa by Ethnologue showing language areas.
Even though it isn't 100% accurate but it is close.

Notice that a good chunk of Ebonyi state and the Aniomas except the Asaba Area are not even classed as Igbo speakers. Neither are the Ikwerres and some others.

https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4181/34117881860_6631699f9c_b.jpg
Even the image you posted disagrees with your claim given that it includes Ikwerre under Igbo.

And this is just recent linguistic pedantism, they're all Igbo they are speak Igboid languages that are ALL mutually intelligible, this is just linguists being inconsistently pedantic around language classification, classifiying mutually intelligible dialects as different languages like some of them claim for extremaduran, which is just a dialect of Castilian.

As for my claim that they are inconsistent, Ebonyi and Benue Igbo are more intelligible than many Abia dialects but somehow they are different languages while the less intelligible dialects are the same, how?.

https://www.reddit.com/r/IgboKwenu/comments/q40dt9/what_igbo_dialect_do_you_find_the_most_difficult/

https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/823438164713930792/985484838977032202/unknown.png

This is just Ethnologists breaking off the all but the Southern and Northern Igbo cultural regions and calling them something else and even then they are doing it inconsistently.

January 1557-December 1561
Europe
- Edward VI continues his state support of Protestantism. Under his reign, the Anglican Church is influenced by Lutheran refugees from the continent and the high church, Anglo-Catholic heritage begins to fade away in favor of low churchery. He has fallen under the sway of the philosopher John Dee, who pressures Edward at every turn to expand English colonies.

- Representatives of both Scotland and France sign the Treaty of Limoges. This treaty solidifies the century-old alliance between the two nations and promises aid in the event of English attack on either country. This is a major diplomatic coup for Scotland as French aid will be vital in defeating England again.

- War breaks out again in Italy as France attempts to assert its dominance. The war sees French gains against the HRE and Genoese, while the fighting in Spain is at a stalemate. Notably, England will be in theory at war with France, though neither side wishes to fight and there is no combat.

- Protestantism continues to grow throughout Europe. However, the form of Protestantism that is most popular is Calvinism, as Lutheranism has been heavily discredited by the massacres of the Protestant Revolt. It is in the start of the 1560s that a reformist clique of Cardinals begins a movement to reform the church and root out corruption so as to retain people in the church.

- Russian eastward expansion continues. They do very well in the Kazakh Khanate given the civil war there. They have less luck in Sibir where resistance is stronger.

Africa
- Portugal continues to spread its influence across Africa. Portuguese merchants have set up small operations across much of the African coastline.

Asia
- The Ottoman conquest of western Armenia is now complete.

- The Mughal-Suri war ends as the Mughals take the west of the Suri Empire. Their victory was not as large as hoped, which leads to a crisis of confidence in the Mughal leadership. Following this peace, Bengal revolts. French merchants in the region see opportunity and begin to sell the rebels weaponry in hopes of creating a friendly state.

- Following an outbreak of plague in Karakorum, the Yuan suffer defeats. The war has devolved into a stalemate and peace is being sought by both sides.

Meanwhile, Father John continues his proselytization across China. He has sent several letters back to Europe, and has been joined by a number of Catholic monks who have set themselves up in Shaanxi and Henan.

Americas
- New Spain is booming. Expansion to the north continues, particularly on the west coast where a Father Martin Gomes establishes a number of missions.

- The colony of New Asturias (OTL Louisiana) grows. It is settled by all sorts of people, but surprisingly receives many Moriscos, who leave Spain after they are banned from having Arabic names. Though the bigwigs in the colony pretend to follow Christianity, there are a number of freeholders that openly worship Islam.

- Spanish forces attack the Neo-Inca. This is a war of sieges as Spain attacks strongholds in the mountains in long, drawn-out campaigns.

- The English colony of Roanoke continues to grow. On the other hand, Philipstown largely stagnates as bouts of disease kill hundreds.

Europe:
The Russian would continue their expansion into Siberia. Annexing states such as Mansi and parts of Central Asia. Russia would also begin an invasion of the khanate of Sibiras well as occupying Parts of the Kazak Khanate.

The Kazak Khanate continue their civil war, seeing more warlords rising up.

The Protestant uprising continues as several European nations would leave the catholic church. The Holy Roman Empire is thrown into chaos as a result.

The Dutch in Hasburg/Spanish Netherlands would leave the catholic church. It seems that the Dutch would soon revolt against Catholic rule.

The Americas:
In response to the Spanish colonization of the East Coast, The English launch their attempt of colonizing the New World. They would establish two colonies, Philipstown and Roanoke. Surprisingly the two colonies would survive their first years.

In response to the Spanish colonized the East Coast, the French also began to expand their colonial expansion. Creating colonies in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.

The Spanish would establish their presence in Uruguay and Argentina.

The Spanish would also expand into Northern Mexico.

Asia:
France would gain some ports in India.

The Ming would turn the tide of the war in their favour, pushing the Yuans back into their own territory.

The Ottomans begin expanding into the Caucasus in response to the Russians also expanding there.

The Mughals launch an invasion of the Suri Empire in the hope to expand their empire.

January 1547 - January 1552

Europe

Russia is able to expand to the East as it is able to finally defeat the Khanate of Kazan, Kazakh Khanate, The Astrakan Khanate, and the Nogai Hordes. A string of bad luck for the invaded nations have allowed Russia to expand much further than it had expected as it has been able to conquer the Khanate of Kazan, Nogai Hordes, and Astrakan Khanate. The Eastern Wars of Expansion, have made Russia grow stronger and bigger as the Tsar begins to digest its conquests.

The Kazakh Khanate has fallen into civil war as the death of several of their leaders and destruction of their military has lead to mass instability. Russia has begun to send forces to support one of the warlords as it plans to fully expand in the area. So far they and the warlord control the area around the Aral Sea and everything north of it.

The Rough Wooing ends in a surprising Scottish Victory as they win against English forces. This leads to France to send forces into the Region and for a major grow in Scottish attempts for independence as attacks on Scottish population by the English make them less willing to join England any time soon. French forces in Scotland grow.

King Henry of France is unable to fully win the war against the Habsburgs and fully commits to the Scottish campaigns for the moment as the Ottomans inability to help plus the defeat in Italy makes him look at other areas of expansion.

The Italian Wars of 1548-1552, end in Habsburg victory as the Ottomans are defeated, plus with the conflict in England requiring French assistance the French back off for now.

The Protestant Uprisings is started by the supposed Prophet Luthor, who leads to a major uprising against the Catholic Holy Roman Empire in Central Europe. While he is supported at first by the Schmalkaldic League, things quickly go out of control as his forces are much more brutal than was expected. Attempts to put them back in line leads to them to come in conflict with the Schmalkaldic League which makes things even worse as the Luthorans begin to kill any people, noble, or destroy any region that is not with them. In the end the Uprising is put down by Charles who uses extreme force that depopulates the area. The Protestant faith is massively hurt by this as their population has gone down and famine is affecting the Protestant areas of the Empire. In the end the Catholic faith is able to grow into this vacuum as many were put off by the brutality shown plus many nobles are unwilling to support the Protestants for fear of further conflict . Many leave towards England as growing persecution leads many to move.

Americas

Forces loyal to Spain are able to defeat Peruvian forces and put in Royalist forces.

The Mapucha are defeated by Spain and its native allies.

A Mayan Uprising has been crushed as New Spain incorporates the last of the Mayan lands.

After a Spanish ship is lost it lands in North America around our timelines Virginia. After they are found, the Spanish send forces into the area gaining control over what we call New England.

After some time wars between Spain and its native allies allow them to control the East Coast and begin to send settlers into the area.

New Spain sends its own forces into what we know of Louisiana, allowing them to control the entry of the Mississippi.

Asia

The Ottoman-Safavid war ends in a Ottoman victory with the Ottomans holding territory in the Caucasus, but it is a Pyrrhic victory as many Ottoman soldiers are dead and the Ottomans have spread themselves thin even further. The Portuguese are able to keep their holdings and even begin to fortify them as they Persian attention is fully on the Ottomans. War is likely in the future.

The Portuguese are able to gain several ports in Ceylon.

A series of war occurs across the Burma-Thailand area leading to the Portuguese to expand into the region as they are able to spread Catholicism into the area.

A group of Catholics are able to reach Yuan and begin to spread the word of Christ across the area.

The Yuan-Ming wars, begin as a series of conflicts between the Yuan and Ming. The Yuan were surprisingly able to win most conflict up to sacking Beijing but were forced back. This was because of one Prester John, an unknown European man who traveled into the area. Getting the attention of the Yuan leadership, he was able to bring a re awakening of the population and make them significantly more unified. His introduction of new strategies leads to victory which leads to many to actively convert as many see the favor of God that lead to their victory.
