The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State, Mr Jimi Agbaje , on Wednesday denied dumping his party after the just concluded elections .
Agbaje had emerged distant second in the March 2 governorship election , trailing the candidate of the All Progressives Congress , Mr Babajide Sanwo- Olu , who was declared winner and governor -elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Speculations were rife on Wednesday that Agbaje might have dumped the PDP and had yet to make known his next political move.
But in a reaction, Agbaje ’ s spokesperson , Modupe Ogunbayo , in a statement made available to newsmen, said his principal was still a card - carrying member of the PDP and had not resigned his membership.

He said Agbaje was committed to the PDP which he believes is the best party that will address the yearnings of Nigerians.
The statement read , “ In the past 24 hours, Mr . Olujimi Kolawole Agbaje , the gubernatorial candidate of the People’ s Democratic Party in the recently -concluded 2019 election in Lagos state , has received uncountable calls and messages from numerous friends , teeming political associates within PDP and countless members of his supporters , that he has resigned from the PDP .

“Mr . Olujimi Kolawole Agbaje is still a card - carrying member of the PDP . He remains committed to the broad - based party , which he remains absolutely certain, has the best antidote to the yearnings and aspirations of the Nigerian peoples .

“It is another chunk from the ongoing propaganda and disinformation machinery of his foes . Mr. Olujimi Kolawole Agbaje urges all to treat the rumour with the disdain it wisely deserves .”

Former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has denied report that he receives an annual payment as facilitator of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
Premium Times reports that the former president in a statement by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Wednesday, March 20 reacted to the claim made by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Abdalla Adamu who had said Obasanjo receives “N40,000 annually as an allowance for being a facilitator of the university.”

Akinyemi in the statement said:
“Ordinarily, this will have been unnecessary exercise, if it has been the usual shenanigans of the media to sell their newspapers. But, the very clear quotation of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abdalla Adam, on the headline made this clarification imperative and to set the records straight on His Excellency’s engagement with the University
“In putting the records in right perspective, His Excellency wishes to draw the attention of the Vice-Chancellor to his letter dated 12 April 2018, which was written to the University Registrar, Mr. Felix Edoka, when the Council offered him a Part-Time appointment as an Instructional/Tutorial Facilitator and Project Supervisor in the Faculty of Arts at the Abeokuta Study Centre.”
Obasanjo noted that in his letter, he noted that:: “I will gladly undertake any of the functions mentioned in paragraph two of your letter pro bono and I hope that the functions will be flexible enough to accommodate my rather tight schedule.”
The former president said the statement attributed to the vice chancellor was embarrassing to him “having generated mixed reactions across the globe, hence, the need for the Vice-Chancellor to retract the statement and tender an apology.
“The publication, which has generated mixed reactions from the general public and calls from far and near on the Elder statesman expressing concern, is, to say the least, embarrassing, uncharitable, mischievous and in bad taste, with immediate demand for a retraction and apology from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.”

I concur with all of this and they are all facts about the private schools. Firms and institutions these days prefer to employ the services of a public or federal university graduate all because they believe that they go through rigorous academic experiences
