Andhominem: Yorubas in other parts of the country always respect and honour their hosts.
You don't see them beating empty chests like chimps online and contesting political positions with their hosts.
Can you now spot the difference
Once again, I empathise with all those affected... And how is it a crime to contest for political position? Isn't Obama fro Kenya? Yet contested and won USA presidency. Don't we have Nigerians winning political contests in USA, UK, Canada? You need to be more civilized in your thinking, this isn't an argument from a civilized mind. |

Andhominem: The land can only be leased to them especially those who are not Yoruba...
I sincerely pity all those affected though, but when pigggidddiotts think they are wiser than Yorubas, this is what they get... You're so naive and myopic. And you think if everyone begins to do this, Yoruba will not also be affected? Don't Yoruba have properties in SE and SS? What happens when they are rejected? My uncle, a Yoruba from, gbongan, has his family and house in Bayelsa, has lived all his life there. Intact his children can barely speak Yoruba. Stop being childish, there is nothing to cheer in this ugly development. Besides, both Yoruba and even non-yoruba are affected in that area. Stop putting religious or tribal colouration into an issue which affects everyone without even considering your religious or tribal backgrounds. |

The State government must do something about this rubbish/injustice NOW[![/quote]Thugs banned in a state controlled by Tinubu? You sincerely said this or just being fake and hypocritical as usual? Who did he use to silence Ambode and his supporters during last APC primaries? Who did he use to scare off voters and disenfranchise people from voting in the opposition strong areas in last guber election? Who brought Oluomo to osun election last year? Tinubu uses and operates with thugs and that's why thuggery can never stop in Lagos as long as Tinubu controls Lagos. Thugs make him still control that state, without thugs, the could have lost his grip on that state. |

Rider: (female) WHERE ARE YOU? Me: Good afternoon Rider: WHERE ARE YOU OGA?? me: I'm about 3mins to your location Rider: HURRY UP (hangs the phone) Me: drives down to her location
Rider: HAVE SEEN YOU, REVERSE AND ENTER MY GATE Me: Okay ma. As soon as she enters.
Me: May I start the trip? Rider: starts crying.
To cut long story short, her wedding was on Saturday but her fiance/husband didn't show up at the wedding.
She was depressed and suicidal. I tried my best to give her some motivational talks and cheer her up.
Las las she gave me my biggest Tip I have ever seen.
Morale of the story.
We drivers should try as much as to be patient with riders especially the aggressive ones. They may be going thru stuff. Just relax and be professional. The said babe just linked me to someone I have been meaning to meet. Just look at God! Stay safe brothers. What a bad experience. I wonder why some men do that. I guess it is mostly a deliberate act to disgrace the Lady, but it is an extremely wicked act. If only they know that act could lead some ladies to suicide. May God help her and you also for at least lightening her load with encouragement. |

If it were during the day and on a high way, all he needed was to park on the road, created a scene and insisted he wouldn't go with them or settle them. See Manni, Kante and others. See comment. So Balotelli is to be blamed for the radial abuse? Etoo suffered same, one Juve's young strker suffered same racial abuse last season. A lot of players always suffer racial abuse, it's got nothing to do about Balotelli's characters. Let's stop this habit of always trying to make victim look bad or the one at fault. From the convo, it was obvious the DRIVER was meant to be an insult, not a compliment, so it was left for him to decide if to reply her insult or not, and he chose the former. No insult is greater. But let's forget the whole argument sha franksam2009: boss I see nothing wrong with what she said though, and there's nothing wrong with being a taxi driver(after all it's not a permanent hustle) but if you are ashamed of being one then QUIT!!
reason her statement from another angle and you won't find it offensive(although she's wrong for texting you after you guys must hv spoken on phone) but since you found it insulting there's nothing wrong with replying her insult but slut-shaming a person is really bad ok, Don't judge anyone for we humans are all HYPOCRITES |

Drivers can cancel on their own and still get paid, but it might look dubious hence the request for riders to cancel. Like I said this thread will enlighten a lot of people. |

Thank you bro, it is an happy ending for him. May we all succeed in our endeavours. adsmaster: Rental bro...... As a matter of fact he brought me into the game when I was having issues at my place of work and needed a new landing pad before relaunching...
He remits 30k and has always been Consistent,no Saks as a matter of fact he drive on uber platform. His target is 20k, yes 20kper day and he has 95% success rate in achieving that figure every day of the week. He said its mindset when I asked him how he does it, he said once you focus your mind, it becomes easy to hit it, nature will find a way to bring it your way. Please don't take away the fact that he puts in the time, lots of it if need be.
He is leaving for Italy on Saturday. He is going to school.he enrolled for a masters program in Rome business school, so with the one year visa in Italy his wife and kid will come to visit and spend time with him while he works on a strategy to settle down in any parts of Europe.
So it's possible to achieve it, that which you have set for yourself that requires finance from these hustle all you got to do is put in the work |

From "CEOs don't take uber", when his claim was bursted, it turned to "only foolish CEOs rake uber, uber isn't secure for them blablablabla....." and now from "no driver has ever been killed on uber", when his statement was again proven to be wrong, it changed to "Uber can track with phone number", when it was shown to him that it was practically impossible, it changed to "Uber and telcos should blablablaa........."

Your story is both touching and encouraging. Touching about what the guy experienced and having to be separated from his wife and lil kid for 6 years now. It is however encouraging reading what he has achieved in a year with the hustle. If I may ask, is he driving his vehicle or on rental please? adsmaster: I want to share a story about a guy who does uber for a living like us. These guy came into Lagos last year, a pastor and was assigned as my zonal leade and I was to work directly under him.. He needed a place to stay a few weeks later reached out to me and I said sure you can move in with me.. He was struggling for a while, till he completed his DL registration and started these uber hustle. These was last year around August. These guy has a wife a d daughter who are in the UK, he was there too with them briefly before he was sent back home because of fake papers that one so call agent did for him, he didn't know. He was to stay away for 10yrs before he can re-aply. It's over six years now and the little daughter he left behind in the UK is now over 6years old, when he left they just gave birth to her.
With these hustle he diligently gave his all, I watch him pay half of his school fees for Rome business school(2500€) pay hostel accommodation 550€, pay 250k to a financial or loan shark to lodge 5M in his account for a month, bought plane ticket, all with these uber hustle. It took a year plus to achieve these with these same hustle that people look with disdain.
These job is like a cash cow, that can be fattened(by putting more time, energy, into it) and slaughtered or milked when the time is right.
Now we have folks like izzou and others who are gradually pushing there's. Let's not be discourage brov, no matter the challenge, keep your eyes on the goal....... |

The bolded, isn't why drivers reject unfavourable trips. Their safety isn't guaranteed, their cars maintenance by the platform isn't guaranteed. thelastorca: You are the one who should be bothered that your partner sees your safety as inconsequential.
And will not adopt very simple methods to secure or advance your safety on the job
If you think being a disposable throwaway piece of meat is something to feel smug over, be my guest. Employees of smaller companies than uber have better safety on the job than proud partners
Kapish that on your next journey into a dangerous area |

Ma'am, the agreement signed still permits the drivers to cancel trips. So, if a road is bad for a driver, he cancels. Uber or volt will decide when to bounce such driver when he overdoes the cancellation. Riders are looking for loopholes, that's why the y want drivers to go to roads they can't take their cars to. But a driver who knows his leverage and right will cancel and go. radautoworks: I don't think you guys are hearing us. We don't have a problem if you want to cherry pick. Just don't do it after signing a contract that addressed the exact situation. Nigerians will be told the conditions of a deal and will accept with the midset of re-negotiating after service or adhering only to the portions they like. That's why before we do anything work customer must sign estimate or email acceptance of estimate. One company did and still came back when payment was requested telling my staff they will be by to negotiate the bill. I took over the transaction and informed the company there is no negotiation after signing estimate and I would reject their repairs in the future. Na Kia Kia full payment remit. Mmmchew
Say what you mean and mean what you say. Don't look for loopholes. I don't half commit to things. Either local man can or local man cannot. There is no local man cannot can.
If you signed the agreement posted above and know or doesn't work for you, find another platform. |

Check the few previous pages one by one, there are some ads for wanted drivers, may be you could see one. adsmaster: So am at one fleet management company where I went to have a meeting with one of the manager and the driver I want to take over the car he is driving. What I saw gave me a chill down my spin on the situation of the country bro...... They are having interview for drivers mass, men there is over supply of drivers and under supply of cars to drive. What am seeing in the atmosphere is the employee employer mindset, it's suppose to be a driver car owner partnership under the facilitation of the fleet management company..its a though terrain put here. God please help me to qui
PS.. I just drop or return the corolla that I was complaining bitter about, after hanging on for as much as I could- what broke the camel back was when car owner refuse to replace two tires that have twisted, with bomps(coco) and the wires already showing. |
