Imagine if they had not banned Twitter and tommorow is June 12.. by now several planned protest would have been trending now on twitter preparin people to start boiling to release fire and fury tommorow
you think the ban really affects the people that would naturally be involved in the protest. Go to TwitterUSA and see #June12thProtest already trending. Buhari trended in USA yesterday. Everyday, one or two Nigerian political events will trend in USA and either Neitherland or Germany

In as much as I am against the ban on twitter, I still think twitter needs Nigeria more, who wouldn't want to operate in Africa's largest market?
How does Twitter need Nigeria more when just very few, I mean very very few nigerians, run ads on twitter, most consult Twitter influencers to run ads. It is the Nigeria and Nigerians that need Twitter most and are losing most presently

I could have said you did wrong because the lady apologised but on the second thought while reading this, I think riders should only request when they are ready. I'm sure if riders were charged (though impossible) for the the same km and minutes they would hava got charged on a 5min trip, they wouldn't keep drivers waiting for 5 mins.

SokizzRaven:
It’s raining and there is no surge in Lekki phase 1 huh, I’d rather stay put than drive through those Lekki lagoons for stipends.
Meanwhile make I drop this gist here

Yesterday I started the hustle (I started very late though) with a resolution that no matter how tempting an order to mainland is I wouldn’t take it, in the process and amidst other blacklisted destinations my cancellation rate shoot up to 65%. Then I said to myself I have to stop canceling orders now

Few minutes later a request came in, not far from where I parked. Destination Lekki phase1, pick up Cmart admiralty way.

Just before heading to pick up, I called rider I’m outside already (don’t want her delaying me for long for a ride of #500) she said she’ll join me in a minute. Drove down to pick up, still no sign of rider. 5 minutes later I called again,
Rider: I’m checking out now I’ll be with you shortly (I was already fuming but I been no wan spoil my gentleman, so I kept it cool)

10 minutes later I called again
Rider: I don’t know why this guy is this slow, but I’m next on the queue, will be out soon
5 minutes later still no sign of rider

A thought of zooming off in anger crossed my mind, but then I thought would she really understand the gravity of what she did if I zoomed off? So I made sure my doors was on lock and waited till this daughter of eve came out

Some minutes later, Saw her through my rare mirror checking out my plate for confirmation, then she proceeded to open the back door but oops! It’s locked
Came a little forward to the passenger side window to knock, I looked at her with a smiling face and wind down a bit. These were my exact words to her
‘’Oh! You’re finally out (she said sorry bla bla bla....please your door is locked) you see that wait wey you been no wan wait, you go wait am. You wasted my time but it’s fine (she said but I’ve apologized now) It will just be nice to give you a doze of your own medicine’’
Put my gear in reverse and screed off ( saw her standing with her shopping bags, looking at the car in awe through my side mirror)

Slimslimqq:
media is doing more harms than politics itself, believe or not.

And between my hatred for buhari is on another level, am only stating the obvious part
Media only reported what politicians do. Is it media that arm bandits, sponsor terrorism, embezzle public money, introduce nepotism in appointments that divides nations etc?

A govt openly is biased towards a section, fulanis kill people, govt unlook, media reports the incidents and also portrays president's bias, the oppressed region becomes angry, carries arms, national crisis happens.

Is media the problem? Do you want media to suppress truth to favour the govt? How long will truth be suppressed?
Politics › Re: Lagos Mention In Buhari's Interview Not Reference To Tinubu, Says Presidency by peeps4u: 7:22am On Jun 11, 2021
You love politicians and hate media?

You are really learning from Buhari at a fast rate.

Slimslimqq:
When we start to understand what politics mean then we would start hating on unnecessary media news and not hate on those in politics.

Meanwhile, for those clamoring for war, let's think about our loved ones. There are better ways we can make our voices heard, we can't fight the government, it will only bring only bloodsheds and tears.

Just let's look at it like this, after the first Civil War in Nigeria, what was achieved? Nothing, only deaths of some thousands of families.

I have passed my message.

Peace

You've already got Corolla 08 which is good, you don't need advice for best brand again. Would you sell the car if they advise you again your Corolla.

If Uber and bolt are in Enugu and PH, register for both.

You may not get a satisfactory reply here regarding the business in Enugu and PH as apparently this is a Lagos thread.

You've got no worry with 08 Corolla you've as long as it is a sound car, just be careful as the car attracts theives most.

Good luck.

It is a common pattern on NL; leave the thread or log out and visit anonymously when the heat becomes much. OP claimed TheoBarth would disburse in 2nd week of May, his last visit on NL was 24th, any rational mind would see the clearly OP absconded like others always do.

Where is the person that created teachlead thread today?
Business › Re: SCAM ALERT: Theobarth grant disbursement by peeps4u:
Frederic578377:
Oh now I understand the problem with you, you’re sick in the head man, thought i was talking to a reason person. Who doesn’t have internet access in this age? But does having internet access mean that u must log into social media and NL for that matter.
NL is notorious for childish arguments and fights like this, which celebrity or big business tycoon do you see here? Most ppl jst use NL to research, post shit once or read info and not to make it a home like you, so when ppl don’t login here is only normal, u’r abnormal if u think everyone must be on social media.
It’s obvious d guy created his acc to post dat grant, check d time he has spent on NL, u’ll know.
So, it is no more about being busy not to access nairaland, it is about avoiding NL for the fear of being dragged usually disguised as toxicity when it was OP himself that started cursing and abusing. Now, in your mental sumersault, you've just further confirmed my earlier post that OP ran away from the thread when he could no longer withstand the heat.

How is it obvious he created the acct fro the grant? Did you check when the acct was created and the same acct has had numerous topics before TheoBarth thread?
It is clear he had to neglect the acct when the dragging and the heat became unbearable for him. He had been earlier trolled on this thread when he was coming online everyday and was not posting any longer due to shame, so it is clear to every sane mind that he's now abandoned the acct to avoid further trolling. You can't argue someone is busy not to access internet for over 3 weeks when he is not working in a village with no internet.

You don't need to login to NL every time you want to visit; a one time login is all you do. So if OP still has access to internet but decides to neglect NL where he has a running thread or logs out so as to visit anonymously, isn't it now true he deliberately avoided the thread? Haven't we come to the same conclusion now?

Toxicity or no toxicity, op wouldn't avoid the thread if he was winning

I have been really busy sometimes ago, but I would still find time in the night to quickly check NL, email, WhatsApp, telegram and other websites for updates.

Don't ever bring that childish argument here again. We are not in the era where you have to go cafe before you access internet. You access internet on the go now, unless you're still stuck with archaic thinking.

Can you now see your argument has always been wack, shallow, myopic and disjointed?

I have the freedom to visit NL anytime, my job permits and I will always do that.

Which business will have kept OP away for weeks and days in this era of mobile internet?
Like do you need to go to cafe to access internet?

The way myopic minded person like you portray business is quite funny. Like he's working every hour of the week and even on weekend and doesn't have time to access internet? Even those on offshore do have access to internet.

Maybe you're jobless for even having time to post on NL right now.

Unlike you I think you he is quite a busy person, I checked and he hasn’t been here for a while. U rily have time ogbeni, I don’t see y he should be ashamed here, na u suppose dey shame sef, abi u’r shameless ? grin
Myopic mind. To you, a farmer who works in farm with no access to internet is busier and more successful than Linda Ikeji or Seun who can afford to stay inline 24/7.

Same OP that created a grant WhatsApp group which I'm sure it is where he intended to brainwash his clients all of a sudden absconded from nairaland after being busted. I guess OP must have been working in Mars or Jupiter not to have access to internet for days and weeks.

You need to rid your mind of this archaic thought that being online means not being busy or being offline for weeks means being busy, even in this era of work from home. I'm not surprised you are gullible and ignorant enough to fall for this TheoBarth with this shallow and old fashioned mentality.

I will not blame your BF neither will I blame you for taking that jobnsince that is all you've got to do to earn a living, but truth be said, I don't think any man that is seriously and genuinely in a relationship will be comfortable with that job; working in a club, being close to your male boss and even sleeping over at the club sometimes. He's natural and understandable for him to be 'jealous' and worried.

You can't or I say you will battle to keep a relationship with that job, one has to go. Choose the one most daring to you.

Good luck

prezidob:
I have been dating my boyfriend for almost 2 years now. Honestly he's such a sweet guy and every lady's dream man. We're both course mates in the same university. We love each other and have pledged to get married after graduation. I'm a very beautiful lady as there's no day gone by without a toaster.

Because of financial difficulties, I took a job in a club as a waitress and recently, secretary to my boss... combining both work. I go to meeting with my boss to plan for the organisation of the club and I do come late and sometimes I sleep over.

My boyfriend reprimanded me for late nights and I told him that he's not my father and should not try to control me. He is so jealous!!
But the truth is he doesn't hide anything from me. Throughout the lockdown he was there for me.

I don't like the work but it's the only way to get by since my parents are not helping and my boyfriend is a student too.

How do I convince him that I love him and I will not cheat on him?

He doesn't want me to do the work neither do I. But we can't help it.

Please your opinion matters a lot to me as it will help me manage my situation. I don't want to lose him.
