I have been a silent reader on this thread and I really appreciate your individual contributions.

However, my F-1 visa was delayed yesterday at abuja consulate office. My school is resuming 13th of January 2020 and I wish to reapply as soon as possible.


When do you I need start filling a new ds-160, I was told i can only reschedule after three days. Please do I need to start a new ds-160 now and pay for a new visa fee so I can easily reschedule on that Friday. Friday is the third date which I am eligible to book an appointment.


Please i need your individual advise

You may not need to change it. It will be transferred from Lagos to Abuja when you go for your interview. Once you submit your DS-160 confirmation before biometrics it will be transferred to Abuja. However, you can also fill a new DS-160 for Abuja. Dn't forget to reprint your VISA Interview confirmation for the new DS-160 confirmation number.

I received almost 60 emails and I tried my possible best to respond to almost everyone, even within my busy schedule.
I faced so many challenges as many entries/applicants/students failed to provide the actual details of documents I had initially requested.

NOTE:
**There is a difference between WES Credential Report and WES iGPA calculator ( I did NOT request for an iGPA)
**The GRE is sufficient irrespective of the score, but many gave me a score where I could not even see their names.
**This assist is for STEM students
**The Application fee must NOT exceed $60. I expect students to have up to 3 different college choices.

Feedback:
FOR NOW: I have only selected 2 person(s) but will reach out to them before Xmas to finalize the login and pay their application fees.

Other STEM students having a complete authentic WES report and GRE score may still reach out to me.

Boss, I sent you a thanks giving message and even sent a follow up few days after but you didn't respond. From what you posted the only thing I didn't send is the WES credential report and three schools option.I actually sent the WES igpa report and the screen munch of my application including the name of the school and course. However, you should have responded to my message. Anyway, I have already paid the app fee. You may decide to help with another app fee with another application.

Me: I am going to the US to pursue a master degree in mathematical science, *with a specialization in* mathematical modelling at East Tennessee State University Johnson City Tennessee state.
Vo: why this school?
Me: Apart from graduate Teaching assistantship which fully covers the tuition and some of my living expenes, ETSU in a relatively cheap place to live, I would also have the opportunity to work with Prof Ariel Cintron on his research mathematical modelling *of an infectious diseases which would be immensely useful when deployed to tackle some of the numerous health challenges in Nigeria.*

If no please don't mention it. The VO may raise question of why did you stop the Masters application to go for a job...it is a red flag.

Apparently,the VO is already vexed.
On why public health? You should hit the nail on the head. Do you know about Root Cause Analysis? That's what the VO wants..Not stories.

What kind of public health diseases? What is the huge burden? This is what VO wants to hear.
Something like this:
Because STAPHs has lead to huge sexual impotency. My xxxx inability to impregnate is a key reason why I want to pursue Public Heath.
Everybody likes it when you personalize your thoughts... emotion set in and the listener wants to hear what you are saying.You didn't get the attention of the VO.
My views may be crude since it is not my field but work your thoughts in that line.

A huge lump close to your interview is not good..
But you may be lucky that a VO doesn't see it.

Interview time: 6:45am. Lagos,

I got to the embassy around 5:25am, I saw lot of people already, some even dressed like they just woke up from sleep and some looked like they were just going to greet the VO who is their relative hahahahaha, NOTE: please you must dress well and look smart, imagine you are going for an interview in a bank, how will you dress? not necessarily suit which looks too formal and common. I wore a well starched collarless coffee brown long-sleeves tucked in my light brown chinos trouser with a suede brown shoe. Please don't cut your hair a day to interview, do it like 3 days to, the looks is different. I even did facial massage, use cucumber to remove eye bags and i will drinking lots of water to have white eyes and hydrated skin. I prepared all round sha. I went in well equiped.

After I did all the bio metrics stuff, I finally entered the interview hall, I was consciously looking for the black american ladies people talked about here but I didnt see them. All VOs were white male. I was interviewed by a young VO in window 1, the window by the entrance door and he approved 4 persons before me but questioned them alot.

Me: Hi Good morning, good to see you (cheerfully)
VO; Good to see you too ( with a surprise look)

Me: sure (gave him). He typed for few mins

Me: A lot of reasons made me choose UNH but for the purpose of this interview I’ll enumerate just 4;
Firstly, I am very keen and interested in research; and I have a passion for cancer treatment, the chemistry department is currently conducting a research in collaboration with Yale University Scientist and cancer center. This research is focused on laboratory synthesis of natural product and their analogues, polyoxygenated and heterocyclic compounds for the design of drug molecules like antibacterial and anticancer chemotherapeutic agent. The motivation is to discover and develop new approaches, new vaccines and new drug delivery systems and integrating them with experiment into chemical materials like green catalyst and cancer drug to improve survival rate of adult diagnosed with leukemia. I noticed the VO kept reading my D120 form in his system, NOTE: what you fill in your D120 form is very important and it determines your approval or refusal already, the interview seems to, just come and confirm perhaps with evidence what is on your D120 form. Please fill your form online yourself like i did and screen shot or write important information like dates and figures on a paper so you wont forget after you had submitted your form.

Mehn I fasted and prayed oh, even took 14 days to my interview off work. Miracles are real, if not for anything it boosted my confidence and i was alert. I knew who ever will interview me will approve me.
Dont talk too fast or too slow, demonstrate with your hands and use a passionate expression on your face like I did for study of cancer, because its killing our people everyday

Prepare your transcript and act it like home video. I felt like an actor rehearsing for a shot.

God is the ultimate joor, nobody can tell me otherwise. Its my experience.

I printed 7months of bank statement fro March to October which is on 3 pages...i noticed a mistake on the F1 form and that is the course duration which is showing 4years when the program is actually 2years meanwhile I told the school they didn't change the F1 visa

From your Transcripsts the VO probably didn't see the course duration. However,the issue is that the account is not busy. It is better to go with a busy account next time.

Yes on my ds-160 i stated that I have a brother there although he didn't ask me anything pertaining my family and yes the account isn't busy because I found out last week my dad stopped making use of the account stating that he was told all the embassy needs to know is the closing balance and if money is in the account,instead he was doing his bussiness on his other business account not only that 5m entered 2 other lump sum entered last week.

Oh! Okay that sums it up.As long as you mentioned it on your DS-160 it is already documented. Your brother info is also on file. I hope you are not going to same state where your broda is and the SOA is also another issue.

The SOA is not busy at all.There should be series of inflow and outflow.How many months SOA did you print?If the VO checks all the pages and then first page he is probably comparing opening and closing balance.The #5m is a lump sum that could outweigh the opening balance. Did you mention your brother during your interview or list him on your DS-160?
