Even I wasn't friends with my roommates because I lack the basic understanding of how relationships develop. I was sad,I had no one to talk to,the results came out even though I dedicated my life to reading it wasn't encouraging. So I researched and read books on how to be social,I found the six pillars of self esteem very useful. It gave me practical examples and tasks to complete to get rid of my social anxiety and I can tell you boldly now that I am a recovering socially awkward person. Learn to take small steps,start from asking time from girls you find attractive from there things will get better.
