You’d imagine that a student with a grade point average of 4.4 and multiple scholarships would have to do something pretty extreme to get suspended from school for two weeks AND banned from their graduation, right? Wrong. Because this student from Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, North Carolina just got suspended, and almost ARRESTED, for nothing more than wearing a shirt. It wasn’t emblazoned with cuss words. Nor did it contain offensive imagery. It was, as you can see below, just a normal-looking shirt, but her high school principal said it violated the Hickory Ridge dress code.

Summer was sitting in the cafeteria last week when the principal told her to cover the offending item of apparel with a coat. Despite Summer complying with the request, the principal, this time accompanied by the school security officer, then sent her to the control room to change her shirt entirely.

“The security guard was within five feet of me,” Summer told WCNC. “He had his hand on his gun. The principal said, ‘I’m gonna give you an ultimatum. We have tried to call your mother. You either come with me to the control room to change your shirt or we will arrest you.’” This time Summer refused and ended up being suspended for “insubordination.” She’s also been banned from all end-of-year events, which includes her own graduation. What do you think? Was the principal right to enforce the rules, or has she gone too far?

There could have been a better inuagural winner of Face of Accra Fashion Week other than Grace Quaye would be one of the biggest sins of all. In fact let’s share a picture of her on the night.

By far Grace Quaye owned the night, however she took the opportunity to crown a new beauty who will now work under the management of Confidence Model Management and carry the title as the Face of Accra Fashion Week, she goes by the name Anita Sampana and nicknamed Yosanita, as seen below.

She beat 31 other contestants and had the whole hall cheering for her prior to her win on Sunday night after being shortlisted amongst 4 others on Friday night.

The runway diva was not only crowned a queen on the final night, but impressed the judges and audience every time she walked the runway in other designers gowns as seen in the images below.

Yosanita was one of the few girls from the competition selected to to work the runway amongst many others in her first fashion show without even being spotted as a new model. We congratulate her on her newly found and well deserved title and position and can’t wait to see what the future holds for her

Suddenly Rosemary Ndlovu (28) can’t handle the demands of Mike Nyathi (66). She moved into Nyathi’s Suburbs house in Bulawayo as a 21-year-old some years back. Her hopes and dreams were to eventually become the then 59-year-old man’s wife.

Today, things have changed, he has allegedly become a monster and she wants to hit the road.

“He has physically abused me on several occasions, the reason being that I should be submissive to him. He also says I am a prostitute.

“As if that’s not enough, he is also in the habit of forcing himself on me and when I refuse he would beat me up.
When I told him that I was no longer interested in the relationship he threatened to kill me,” said Ndlovu in court while adding that she’s too young to live a miserable life.

But Nyathi laughed off the accusations. Instead, he is of the view that his young woman has found a younger lover.

“We only had a misunderstanding after I discovered she had another boyfriend and she’s no longer coming home. I don’t know where she now stays,” said Nyathi.

In her ruling the magistrate however, ordered Nyathi not to verbally and physically harass Ndlovu or go to her residence.
