Really a hopeless shameless and thievery government. A clear enemy of the state parading and surrounding itself with economic saboteurs of our commonwealth. From Abacha, to ifeanyi ubah, to Stella oduah, Fani kayode, tukur's son, jimoh ibrahim and so annoyingly many others Taking impunity to a new height and daring Nigerians to do their worst. God punish anyone who prays and vote for the PDP next year. We are taking back our country from their grip |
Omimah:Lol, don't mind those revisionist. They are already beaten in their own game |
I hope this put to bed the argument of him needing to step down cos he cross carpeted. The constitution is clear and the position of speaker and deputy speaker are the sole position not determined by party affiliation. |
There was a legal and valid precedence of a minority party heading the House of Representatives in 1983 when Chief Edwin Ume-Ezeoke of the Nigerian People's Party as Speaker in a parliament with the National Party of Nigeria as the majority. tambuwal surely has justification to retain his seat and no amount of intimidation will and can change that. "Ogene said the 1999 Constitution in Section 50 (1b) (as amended) clearly stipulates how a Senate president, deputy Senate president, House speaker and deputy House speaker could emerge irrespective of the party that has the majority. He observed that similar incident happened in the Second Republic when the then speaker, Hon. Edwin Ume-Ezeoke of the Nigerian Peoples Party, NPP, was in the minority party in the House while the National Party of Nigeria, NPN, was in the majority. Ogene stressed that the 7th Assembly was broad minded and would remain one united House of Representatives in the matter" http://nigerianpilot.com/quit-now-pdp-govs-order-tambuwal/#fref%23fref |
In a normal clime the CDS ought to have resigned for the irresponsible statement in Cameroon with the cameroonian Army chief in attendance telling them Boko Haram has agreed to a ceasefire and he has directed commanders on the front to stand down.and abide with the terms. How will he be viewed by his officers and men now that his own house has now turn a trophy to shekau and murderous gang? Yet he gave directive for a stand down. Our nation is in a perilous time and never did we have it so bad in the history of our Nation. We are not better than Mali at all with the way this insurgency is being handled. |
There is nothing frail or sickly about the jagaban. The pix was a reflection of the time and the moment the pix was taken. He was in a function on saturday in south London. Every one wishing death on the jagaban should pray not to die himself. He was scheduled to arrive on Monday but little technical issues on his jet warranted the delay and him missing the convention. Don't judge or base opinion on a camera positioning. |
Who are the people behind this diehard, merciless and determined bunch of religious fools? Cos it beats imagination how this gang of crooks can be taking territories from the Nigerian Army. How do they get ammunition and armaments to take on the military? Are our borders that porous that such massive military hardware can be moved into our country without detection? Think it is the appropriate time to invite France just like Mali did cos it is now glaring the NA can't take on this idiots. There are so much unmotivated and uninspired men in the NA who only joined the military for monthly salary not to defend the territorial integrity of the country. This is the result of having Politicians getting slots to fill their supporters, cronies and relatives in every sphere of our nationhood. We have people very unprepared and irresponsible who are in.positions they are not supposed to be. |
nationwide1:Sorry I will advice you read up how constitutional changes are made in a democratic dispensation. If you do then you will see what it takes to make a change to the way of life or the order in a country. Let's us try to read well before jumping on a subject. No president can make changes with fiat in a democracy. He had powers to do so as a military head of state but didnt, he can't do so now when his powers are limited. |
My God just confirmed it online that Boko haram has taken over mubi truly. And even overran the army 237 battalion there in mubi. For a group that is meant to have signed a ceasefire and end hostility, how do we place this? Over running a whole army battalion with all the ammunitions and weapons in their armoury, my God. What happen to all the N3trillion budget of the military in the last 3 years? Government can't continue handling this existential threat the way it is doing? Is this a plot to properly arm shekau so as to avoid having election next year as already proclaimed by top PDP officials? I pray and hope PDP is not trying to feast on this callous act to perpetuate JonaTAN in office? How can a bunch of hungry, untrained and illequipped bunch of stupid ragtag blood suckers overrun an Army Battalion? Yet they have no aerial power or sea maneovuer just guerrilla tactics and they took over a whole battalion. Chai this nation has never had it this bad. |
Mubi is the town of the chief of defence staff who ought to have resigned for shamelessly annoucing a ceasefire and release of the chibok girls and not backed by any intelligence or confirmed information in faraway cameroon making himself and the government he represents objects of ridicule amongst comity of nations. The fact he personally made the announcement surely will be the reason boko haram decided to turn him to a jester and make a fool out of him. Really a hard time for the chibok girls and people of the noth east. |
Campaign promises and tools to thrill the gullible ones. Same way second niger bridge was promised in 2010 but work started on skeletal mode in 2014. Why and how do we arrive with this kind of divisive and unfocused government. From increasing corpers allowee in 2010 against 2011 election to giving them daily feeding allowance in 2014 against 2015 election. New airports in 2014 smack of lousy campaign slogan for 2015 election. Has he completed the second niger bridge yet? Who are the thinkers of this government ? Must you go through same path everytime? Only fools are sold on this kind of illtimed and emergency projects that are not even captured in the year's budget or the MtEF of government for next year or the year after |
GMB said I want to at least pay for my nomination form myself so as not to be indebted to anybody. We have a sitting president who is gonna procure his own nomination form of 24m with a donation of 100m. Now tell me why he won't try to pay them back for their patronage. He should keep the balance against next year for his relocation to otueke. Cos nigerians have said no more to corruption and clueless leadership. So na only Ondo North senatorial district go vote for am in the whole south west. Really hard to be a jonaTAN saTAN goon right now. |
Welcome to the home of the progressives mr. Speaker. The home of all right thinking Nigerian who are driven by patriotic zeal and concern about the abyss the PDP has taken and is taking our beloved country . We will rescue and fix Nigeria. We will lead it back to the path of growth and economic rejuvenation. To all the oil cabal, subsidy thieves and PDP supporters in nigeria sorry about your loss as APC ends business as usual from 2015. The co.ck has come to crow and the end of corruption and impunity is neigh. |
Who ever put this insult and damning classification on the front page is not a true friend of jonaTAN. Gosh this is an insult, a disgrace and an affront on the occupier of the seat of power in Nigeria. JonaTAN has really brought the presidency to ridicule and public disdain even by a foreign media. This is just pure sarcasm tainted with a sweet title to hide the intent. And to imagine some illeducated SaTAN goons are celebrating this damning editorial and rejoicing over this clear cut insult to their otueke master. Gosh Truly "if you wanna hide something from a black man, put it in a book". That clearly qualify and explain the situation of every JonaTAN supporter rejoicing over this insult. |
hizroyalflynes:Funny thing is that it was a christian head of state Gowon that first sent a delegation to the meeting of the OIC in 1971. He ensured and signed the observer status of nigeria in the OIC in 1974. Babangida adminstration in 1986 upgraded our membership status from observer to full member. So you willsee it was just lack of education and ignorance to put anything on Buhari on the issue of the OIC. |
The collective goal is to weed out the PDP and its suppressive and corruption institutionalising agenda. Let's make the country work again and be turned back to the path of greatness and rejuvenation. I hope the Turaki drop his agenda for 2015, let's have GMB do a single term, fix and end the plague of corruption ravaging the country and ensure all our institutions of democratic rule function optimally without dancing to the tune of Ask Rock then handover to a more business and development minded individual in 2019. The business as usual kind of government we've had since 1999 has set this nation off the track of development and the sole reason is corruption and we need a radical leader with radical disposition and without the baggage of corruption hanging round his neck. We need to make this country work again. Sai Buhari 2015 |
Blainz:Please feel free bro. Thanks for even bothering to ask. |
ratiken:Now check your contribution to this thread and mine and ask your self whose own is useless and lack commonsense? |
ratiken:Why is knowledge seeking a problem for PDP SaTAN goons? Why can't you just take the little pain of opening the link provided in the post? How did residence JonaTAN infect you all with his daftness and cluelessness? |
Why the sensational title for a constitutional act by the Governor if their tenure ended yesterday should he give them extra time out of his own volition? |
InglishTeechar:Fixed..... Don't you think this same madness will soon manifest in your children and the need to seek deliverance? |
At least oga maku you wear shoe. Oga did his own without shoes so your own is still manageable. But why do we like copycatism in this country? |
sofunmikamgbo:Wetin you write so? President of west african ginni? Must you put west? Did a quick glance through on all your previous posts on NL and seeing your favorite section na FAMILY. You for remain for that section and leave POLITICs else you would have known that zAMBIA is in Southern Africa. RIP president sata. |
Sibabasibaba1:I don't know of any faction in APGA since the court of appeal verdict. Umeh remains the only and substantive chairman of APGA. Will the Reps who defected to PDP from APGA go back there? There will be multiple faction in Ondo. The battle line is drawn based on the directive of the NWC to lock up the secretariat which clearly states there are various groups claiming superiority. On what grounds will the PDP dissolve a properly elected and constituted exco just because they want to hand over structure to a governor. Do we have crisis in labour party too? Didn't Political office holders defect from Labour Party to.PDP. Nothing is gonna happen to the speaker except he willingly and voluntarily step down. |
Pls people spamming my mention should please address my concern that they should show evidence of him implementing sharia when he as a military head of state ruling with fiat and decree if he supported or adopted sharia as the basis of our constitution? If you have nothing to back your claims, will it be now that he will be under legislative oversights of the Senate, the HORs and all 36 states house of ASSEMBly before he pass a bill into law that he will now implement it. Every public speaker knows your speech at an event is based solely on your audience and what you're asked to talk about. If you've damming and compelling evidence of him promoting sharia when he had autocratic power please post it here |
The lack of understading exhibited by the OP and some commentaries on this thread is on a level beyond reasoning. If the speech was at a seminar organised by the council of sharia as indicated in the last paragragh of the newspaper cutting you posted ? Do you expect him to tell them that MOSAIC law should be adopted? His audience nececitated his words. I will only be concern if you have any evidence that he implemented or dabbled into sharia implementation when he was head of state |

You seem not to get it here. A party is made up of people not a block of building. If people within a party disagrees then factionalization is born. Is there an internal crisis in Ondo State PDP? Do we have factions there now? Is the state exco not dissolved now? Was there an internal crisis and multiple faction in Anambra APGA? Is the APGA immersed in a factional war or did it merged? Did the PDP celebrate the defection of all APGA REPs to the PDP? They bought it upon themselves and our own net has caught a giant FISH. |
Sibabasibaba1:Yeah, the APC played it cards well. The PDP in sokoto had internal wrangling and we waited for the NWC of the PDP to intervene and more graciously they send the BOT chairman of your mumu party to come for reconciliation. We have the tape of the reconciliation and we are waiting. All the wise people for PDP don comot so you can see it is only clueless and daft people remaining. |
They know they don't have the required number and Tambuwal was never the PDPs candidate for Speaker in the first place. He and Ihedioha were supposed to be punished for the way they emerged but for the appeal. He became speaker courtesy of the then ACN and CPC so the PDP should go sit down. Mulikat the present majority leader was their choice. That is why they are appealing to him to honourably resign since they know they can't force him out. Give it. To the strategist in the APC, a party formed in two years rather than implode as speculated by doyin okuigbe has grown in leaps and bounds rising so high as the number 4 seat. Hmmm I can feel the wind of change. No 1, 2, and 3 surely coming our way next year I hope we will get reps and senators from the SE next year or else we will give Ngige both Senate Presidency and Speaker combine. Na double honors for our small but mighty senator |
datolee:Education is a previlege and I will implore you to seek and stop spewing rubbish here. George Bush sent a representative to a meeting of the OIC in dakar, senegal in the 80s does that make America an observer state? If in your write up you rightly said gumi was sent on behalf of Nigeria's muslim population and not to represent Nigeria is that not clear enough to you? |
datolee:Gowon sent gumi to attend the meeting on invitation and not to sign any agreement to be an observer nation. Attending a meeting to watch proceedings isn't tantamount to membership? People go to watch parliamentary procedure in the national assembly does that make them members of parliament? You were on and on about Buhari taking Nigeria to OIC as if you where there with him? |
datolee:Show proof that nigeria became an observer nation in 1971 when the organisation was formed in 1969 and had it first meeting in 1970 with only core arabs nation in the meeting to discuss the israel descretation of the al-aqsa mosque as their top agenda. How will christian led gowon administration sign the OIC observer status? To achieve what? Bringforth your proof and let me show you my proof of 1976 being the year Nigeria joined the OIC as it was then? Educate and erase the knowledge that I have with facts please |
