shizzleStar:Are u sure you can read with comprehension at all. Where did I justify any coup plot at all or where did you hear of a coup plot orchestra by GMB? If you have any contrary fact to show that GMB rather than IBB, Abacha and TY danjuma where the brains behind the 1983 overthrow of Shagari, please put it forward here. Buhari was posted to Jos outside the corridor of power in lagos over the way he handled the Chadian invasion of nigerian territory by pursuing the fleeing chadians soldiers beyond chad itself into Libya and Niger republic which president Shagari felt was too bit hard on the chadians. If you feel Abacha, IBB and Danjuma truncated democratic governance I think they learn the act from your brothers Nzeogwu, anuforo and ifeajuna who were the first group of soldiers to ever truncate a democratic rule in Nigeria. They were the ones who brought coup and military rule into our polity. If you have facts to dispute my argument bring them forth if not please get off my mention. I speak with verifiable facts not hearsay and rumours and halftruth. |
Wait I tot Amaechi is a bastard in rivers and has no fellowship in Rivers State at all. This crowd is quite a far cry from the news about amaechi/apc not welcomed in rivers. 2015 go do some people like magic. Seeing GMB,Atiku, kwankwaso, ndanusa all in one gathering shows the maturity and kind of big family the APC is. |
shizzleStar:Im sure you were blind to see where your co-traveller labelled GMB "coup plotter and a mass murderer" I was only setting the records straight with my detailed response Mr. Non ethnocentric hypocrite who plays the ostrich on his own kins stupidity but goes into.a murderous rage on the response to his ilks acts of ignorance. Get off my mention if you have nothing up your medulla to act responsibly to actions of your brother which brought about a reaction. |
@berem That is the classic buhari that I know over the years. A man who when told his monthly allowance as an ex head of state is about N23m ask for just 10% of it stating that is his own fair assessment of his allowance and anything more is corruption. The way he touched on every aspect of our nationhood in 20months can never and has never been equalled. From pursuing Chadians soldiers that invaded some part of our country way beyond their own country, to his handling of the maitasine islamist cult group that wanted to hold sway in certain part of the north, to looking IMF and world bank in their face and telling them to hold their stupid economic advice to decentralized and adopt an open market.economy.to.the detriment and aspiration of Nigeria, IBB took same advice and we are where we are today. I could go on and on about this principled, incorruptible and focused general, a general amongst generals who had every opportunity to rob and enrich himself but yet towers well above corruption and self serving like his colleagues and those who took over from him. |
@gbawe Your point is noted. They left the content of the thread and started a personality attack on GMB as if it was his campaign manifesto that the thread indicated. Giving them leeway to abuse and defame the character of the most prudent and the best anti-corruption crusader in the history of our country is allowing them to further continue in their foolery and allowing to spread rumor and outright lies about the integrity and personality of a man who directed the ministry of finance to pay him just 10% of what every past president or head of state earns. He collects 2.3mn to the over 23mn his colleagues collects monthly stating that is his own fair allowance and anything more is corruption. I'm ready to take them on as long as they spew rubbish and halftruths about him . |

themaskedman:God rest his soul and those of the kids. I was once holed up during a visit to nigeria in wukali and there was this religious crisis then over stupid and funny thing I think football or so that one is taken aback to see people go these extent to hack someone to death over an accident. Really we have lost all sense of humanity in this country and politics is the harbinger of it all. |
themaskedman:God rest his soul and those of the kids. I was once holed up during a visit to nigeria in wukali and the was a religious crisis then over stupid and funny things that one is taken aback to see go these extent to hack someone to death over an accident. Really we have lost all sense of humanity in this country and politics is the harbinger of it all. |
themaskedman:If I follow your argument and line of thought, you think and feel he deserved what he got? If your other quote of my post is brought to bear here, you will agree with me that there is need to douse the racial/religious tension in Taraba state. Little acts like this end up throwing up a whole town in conflagration. Religion has been scaled up as basis of everything in.Taraba state now based on the infighting between the political class. There is so much mistrust amongst people of the state. That is my argument the need to.curb things like this from happening. If the man was in police custody why lynch him there,.that's my point. |
barcanista:Bro you don't need to. Do you know how many containers laden with loads overturn on people and end up killing and maiming them in lagos and other places. If it was a mob action, it will be instanteneous and driven by compassionate anger and a clear cut belief that the killing of the children was a deliberate terrorist act by the driver. If the driver was taken to a police station as reported, and was taken out by an irate mob for lynching then you should know that it was simply an act of vengeance and not based on what truly happened at the scene. Mob action is immediate and instant, if that was the case he would have been lynched and killed at the scene of the accident not at a police station. My views, my opinion. God rest the souls of all the dead. May his vengeance be upon all those who participated in the killing of this man if he is not guilty but if he killed those kids deliberately, let the pain he went through in life be just a beginning of all the pains he will.suffer on judgement day. |
barcanista:Then you're not facing the reality of present day Nigeria. Where is wukali again? Go back and read about the religious crises that pervaded the town and the deep suspicion amongst the muslims/Christians in the town. Now juxtaposed that with the leadership.crisis about the strong opposition to naming the acting governor as d governor 2 years after the plane crash episode of governor suntai all because he is a muslim and the power brokers in the state are Christians. Politicians have ensured that people who mingled, bond and lived together in harmony are now sworn enemies all because of power. I am not stating that he was killed for being a muslim/hausa. I'm only stating I hope it wasnt the reason he was lynched so that there won't be a revenge attack based on old episodes in the state. |
atlwireles:Dimka that was killed in 1976 overthrew shagari? Are u drunk or high on cowdung? I've told you to consult me your uncle before you post on NL to limit your show of ignorance, I was used to ECN you were used to NEPA what ever name I call the power holding authority of the time is what I'm used to. It is not a subject of argument. |
The truth of the matter is that there is so much division along religious lines in the country now. He was killed because he was unfortunate to be an hausa man/Muslim in a more Christian dominated community where people attach sentiments and religious bias to issues. May God rest his soul and those of the kids he killed accidentally. All that is needed to stir up s mob is to call him a boko haram member sent to kill Christian children. It is such a pity the way the country has been polarised, the repercussion of this over time is yet to be seen except the incoming GMB administration douse religious fanatism that has been a hallmark and celebrated political tool of this administration. |
atlwireles:Yea truth like buhari overthrowing shagari and ECN not predating NEPA. I think you need those soaked bread stickpoked into your as.s |
atlwireles:Ofcourse it in built for you and your ilks to run when faced with the reality of how silly and infantile your arguments are. Like i said google is available to you to find out the truth if you're in dare need of it rather than tell us "I carry jerrycan" that's so sentimental don't you think so. I can act as an uncle to you when you're in dear need of education and enlightenment on Nigeria's political evolution over time. I'm the best search engine you can ever think of. Go through this thread and ask yourself who sound more coherebt, factual and make more sense between us. You who never knew there was a ECN before NEPA was formed and "I carry jerrycan on head" fame. You're as pathetic as they come. Illinformed, chestbeating illiterate and ethnic jingoist. Run along you gay.gots |
Ngwakwe:I was hoping your next post on this thread will be your verifiable facts about the 53suitcases you helped cleared at the airport during buhari's regime. You and your illinformed goons no reach at.all Quote me any day, you lots have nothing against GMB because he stands very tall above any ill or acts of corruption you can ever wished on him. Go back and read about the personality of the uncompromisable and patriotic people's general |
atlwireles:You full ground to carry jerry cans of petrol on your head you are just a pathetic and useless case of insobriety if not you will realize that the event of 1966 which midwifed all other military takeover can never be wished away from our national history. Go back to your history books if google is too hard to use for you and find out who and who were the brains behind shagari's removal. The kingpins never denied it and they did same act again in 1985 by overthrowing Buhari himself. Aguiyi ironsi became head of state in 1966 after nzeogwu's coup being the most senior military officer then, buhari became head of state in 1983 after IBBs coup being the most senior military officer. If you lack comprehension of military ethics then remain forever quiet and stop exhibiting your foolishness. |
atlwireles:You are a pathetic and illinformed liar like I said. And education with proper facts not whimped stories bothering on sentiments wins arguments. No. 1 no institution enjoys constant power supply like the armed forces formation. 2. Electricity corporation of Nigeria was the precursor to NEPA, ECN was formed in 1951 so I know what I'm talking about, NEPA was a child formed from merger of Niger Dam Authority and ECN. So learn from those more informed than you. The problems of electricity supply in Nigeria started towards the end of the 1980s when transmitting of generated power from the stations became an issue. The first being the 1985-1987 break down of the oshogbo national control centre due to huge power need of the newly constructed ajaokuta power and steel mills, rapid industialization across the country which was tasking on the machine mounted as far back as 1951 when ECN was formed. I don't need stupid stories of I carry petrol on my head it sound so familiar like the I had no shoes of your president. I deal with confirmed and responsible facts not sentiments. Buhari's supporters are die hard realist and sound intelligent old and young men and women who have the larger interest of the country at heart not some ethnic driven jingoists Quote me and ask those elderly in your home, Power was not a serious issue to warrant hoarding petrol in jerry cans at home during buhari's 20months in.power |
Mogidi:Not just captain Spock, I'm sure your folks will want to hear greeting and regards from you too. You're just a bundle of emptiness. |
atlwireles:If your looking for people to hang mass murderer toga on, look no further than your kinsmen nzeogwu, anuforo, ifeajuna and their co-travellers in 1966. Babangida, Abacha and danjuma were the actors of the .1983 overthrow of shagari. Like I said you guys need to start reading books to get properly educated and stop exposing your Illinformed and uneducated gibes here. The actors of the 1983 palace coup against shagari are still alive except abacha. During the 1983 coup no.mass or selective killings were recorded compare that to the stupid and ethnic driven purge that your kinsmen did in 1966. For your information, GMB was a GOC in Jos when the overthrow of shagari happened in lagos. He was flown in to take over the reins of power being the most senior army officer. If you need more education call on me and I will gladly educate you. |
Mogidi:This dude was living in the moon same time your elderly folks lived there. You slowpoke |
atlwireles:If you think darkness was the order of the day as experienced now? Why has the present government not outlawed buying petrol in jerrycans too? Quote me any day and ask those elderly enough in your home that someone educated you that during Buhari's admin. Petrol buying for domestic use was not necessary becos we never had perpetual days/months of black out. Go find out. How could there be when ECN workers know the implication of not producing power in 2 hours. Look here Nigeria was a working country with every civil and public servant knowing the implication of failure or not meeting daily targets . Like I said earlier never compare GMB with GEJ . It will be a big disappointment to the word competent and purposeful leaderful. |
atlwireles:Pity you are not a good student of history else you would have been properly educated on the events of 1983 but redemption is still in your way if you can seek relevant books to be properly educated. I'm sure you never heard of major kenneth kaduna nzeogwu if you did you would have known how the word "coup plotting and ethnic bias/selective mass murder" became part of our nomenclature in our political life. You ethnic and racial bias e-goats will start a war and when the heat is turned on your lots you start to cry blue murder . |
atlwireles:Let me help you with how GEJ is fighting smuggling and stealing of our crude oil. Giving tompolo a known and celebrated enemy of the state contract to protect our maritime boundaries and waterways Hiring asari dokubo and paying him and his boys billions monthly for security of our oil pipelines Running to the US and telling them to check the crude oil brought to their country and confirm if they are stolen from nigeria then return it back to us since our crude carry" label" During Buhari's regime, buying petrol in jerrycans was not necessary since perpetual darkness was not a known situation in Nigeria. Only smugglers were involved in jerry can petrol purchase then cos what do you need petrol for when you have light at home and at work. |
Ngwakwe:Don't you think you need to look at the mirror get proper enlightenment about a statement before you rush to discredit somebody without any fact. Same way you argued and talked carelessly that he allowed emir of gwandu to import 53suitcases of money when he was head of state as if you were a trawler at the airport who assisted to carry the 53 suitcases. If GMB said Abacha was not corrupt it was based on the reality that there was no legal proceedings against him in any law court on corruption or money laundering . If there is please bring it here. But can you tell us which ABACHA currently wines dines and parades with your corruption personified president who just pardoned and withdrew court cases on the AbAcHa you called corrupt. Billions of nigerias money was forfeited to mohammed abacha o the promise he will use some to deliver votes to your saint goodluck. If GMB could prevent Mohammed Abacha from flying the CPC flag in 2011 despite knowing it will cost the party the governorship seat of kano then you should respect the credibility of the man who thinks and believes you can't be corrupt and then try to use his platform to gain immunity from persecution yet same individual is being fronted by your party and left to go with billions of our commonwealth. Never in your life compare GMB with GEJ please |
Desola:Deso, guess her larger than life activities in the diaspora community makes her more prominent and popular with me than those at home but really I hear good reports about her. She's only a rep. not a budget wielding executive, expectations should be lower with her . Your islander lo ni eko no work o. Baba kekere from badagry was there, baba go slow from epe too so your analogy no work o. Lagos na IBILE. Cosmopolitan nature of lagos not helping we natives at all and our overting accommodating nature isn't a good political tool also. That's why you can hear all these aje okuta ma mu omi dey claim numbers and population with us. But a good lagos for me is all that matters Ambo I hear is from somewhere in Ondo state but then how many indigenous governors has lagos produced since independence? Even ojuyobo is from osun so like I said ...... Performance over sentiments anyday....... |
In as much as I feel disturbed that the rotational agreement between the 5divisions that constitutes Lagos State is being jettisoned by the emergence of Ambode, one cannot but get wowed by his performance in the turning around of the IGR of lagos. Lagos can surely bullshit the FG and its piecemeal monthly allocation. If it is Ambode and if fashola is strongly behind this ticket cos likes poles attracts then I'm all in make them just use my sister Abike Dabiri as deputy to pacify my division. Performance over sentiments any day...... |
How many mondays do we have in a year again? This is the clown who negotiated and deceived the whole Chief of Defense Staff. In a sane clime this fake boko leader should be cooling off in alagbon. |
No wahala na. The guy beside her says it all. "They all have secrets". Her elder brother stole billions in 8years as governor but a Nigeria court in its wisdom said he should pay back just some millions. So she know public money is just there for the taking as long as it is kept secret. If the years of 8years wastefulness can't be compared to oshio's 6 years of purposeful and quantifiable governance then all folks who bear that surname should be ashamed to even.come out to seek leadership role but in Nigeria where anything goes and because they know they can rig their way in, they don't bloody care. If our ruling party can associate with a scion of the worst despot in African history after idi Amin of Uganda "abacha" then one can imagine the kind of leaders who have in this country. They claim buhari said abacha wasn't corrupt yet prevented abacha's son who clearly won the primary of his party in 2011 from contesting on the party's platform but those accusing him of same allegations have pardoned and withdrawn a multibillion naira fraud case against same scion of the so called corrupt man and hobnobbing with him to fly their own party flag. |
Here lies a woman who had a money laundering case whilst she was the wife of the deputy governor and later governor of Bayelsa state handing over a candidate to the only politician in the whole world (at least that I know of) who has a court injunction that restrains any legal entity from scrutinizing his 8years misrule of Rivers state. The long and short of this is that any attempt by.rivers people to vote wike if he gets the ticket anyway will spell doom for the oil rich state. It is really a pity that weve allowed ourselves to be recolonized by heartless and soulles politicians who have no desire to deliver any dividend of democratic rule to the people but enrich themselves and their cliques. Imagine wike needing to make all these people in the entourage of the first lady happy if he's elected governor? Thank God I'm not a riverian cos the state allocation no go even reach Abuja toll gate before he finish |
shaqhead:Thanks for the compliment bro. The task to retake our country back belong to everyone of us. No one need the government to do anything extra ordinarily but do its constitution responsibilities to the populace. Security, roads, housing, education, electricity and economic management. But the short cut approach of circumverting the aspiration and wish of the people by using gullible youths who sell off their future on the altar of quick financial inducement harbour an ill wind for the country. A good government should expect it's reward through popular support while the one who knows it has not perform should respect the true wish of the people to select the kind of leadership it want. Let's keep our fingers cross and be very outspoken.against any plot that they put together to perpetuate themselves in power despite failing us |

. You started lying right here again. Was ECN still functional in 1983? Remember, that was what you said. You did not say predate. But you called NEPA, ECN in 1983, Ogbeni, kilode .
