richidinho: osun and Ogun indigenes be claiming Lagos since 1902 I sympathise with your grief on that. But beware that you do not end up mourned for the unjustified grief. The yoruba is a rare and unique tribe. Every yoruba is entitled to claim every bit of yorubaland from Kogi state down south. In all our states, we employ ourselves without recourse to ethnic variance. We even employ from outside yorubaland. We accommodate all religions. We are the true people of God. Our forefathers were pace-setters and they left for us the Odua group which will keep us together for life. Our influence extends beyond Nigeria. You will be doing yourself a world of good by stopping to masturbate over yoruba affairs. |

Y'all are still wondering how an indigene of Ondo ends up becoming commissioner in Osun and an indigene of Osun ends up becoming the chief of staff to the governor of Ogun state. Or why Ogun state doesn't sack workers of Oyo state origin from its civil service... All these nonsense are applicable in your Godforsaken states... . We don't do that shiit here
We are all Yorubas and lagos is our collective patrimony.

NigLasPresident: A civil servant client and good friend of mine has even asked I find her a good estate agent in Lagos, she is relocating before the deadline reaches, she says she don't trust those lots up north and she is Yoruba.
My issue with all these kids ranting here is they don't realise these threats from the north boys is complicated, tell me how do you identify an IBO from a Yoruba or from an Edo man when it starts?
Even in Lagos, if you are not from Yoruba land or from the north( which is always easy to identify) you are classified as omo IBO. (No time to start wondering where ikwerre or kwale or isoko is located)
The northerners are declaring war on everyone outside the North and some are here ranting against their selves instead of finding ways to stand up to a common enemy should the threat be carried out as planned.
Deep down we don't like each other, there is too much hatred in the land and no one wants to accept it, in this 2017 you still hear and find a landlord say he doesnt want an IBO man in his house or an so on and so forth. We tell our kids to steer off some friends and girlfriends because of their tribe, sometimes I think the IBO's are right, see how all these media talks about restructuring that the government is trying to kill. We wouldn't be talking about restructuring today if IPOB people weren't bold enough. I took time to read about the IPOB cause and I saw how deeply we all have been brainwashed in this nation. No one wants to face the truth. We all keep hiding behind tribe. This tribe is mine and that tribe is yours, if you ask all these kids ranting on naira land to tell you their thoughts on restructuring, you will weep at the rubbish that will gush out their mouth, all they are good at is ranting and calling each other names, some are even paid by politician to come fan the fire of fake news here. So pathetic. The IPOB people have opened the eyes of many and that is why restructuring clamour has been loudest in recent times.
This nation needs a serious revolution. We need a true real change. Call it restructuring or call it a break out. It is still the same idea with a different naming. The west has been silent in the face of truth because of the gains from the corrupt system that favors us.
But think. Think for a minute. Have a mind of your own. There are two sides to an argument, an educated man listens to both sides before passing judgement. I guess Thats how the judiciary works.
But we have all been brainwashed for so long that the results are evident in the comments on this thread. See how comments here shows we have all subliminally accepted the Northerners are superior and can kill as many as they want and get away with it. We all have been brainwashed to accept what atiku is silently pushing: That those asking for a restructuring or a break out whichever will all be wiped out soon and nothing will happen, just like in Rwanda (Isn't this a language to say, the northerners have the sole right to kill at will if you dear try to leave even via peaceful means)
I see several leaders talk about war to come to the Easterners and I have listened to the easterners, even interviews with Nnamdi KANU via YouTube (Channels TV even did one with a northerner sent to visit Nnamdi KANU to interview him. In all his statements he never talked about a war, he only mentions REFERENDUM. (THE WORD OUR CORRUPT POLITICAL CLASS hate to hear) REFERENDUM he says should be done to determine who wants to remain and who wants to leave. He wasn't even holding on to any states to leave along, he only says a referendum should decide how the map of Biafra land should look like.
Things really are about to fall apart.
Well. I will be watching with interest how these all ends. God help US! Your client is one of the wise ones residing in the north. The yoruba say that a wise cripple will survive a war proclaimed in advance. Any southerner that remainscl up north after september 20 loves to commit suicide. Bet me the housa/Fulani will hav no obtion than to succumb. That's why I say it all depend on you and me. When the masses speak politians has no option than to comply. Brexit is a good example. Believe you me, yorubas are already pissed off with this country. Trouble is, we give honour to our elders and expect them to lead the way for youths to follow. But the agitations you hear in the airspace by YOLICOM, etc, are not phantom but a rebellion of youths but with tacit support from elders. So, anyone that takes their declaration as a joke has another thing coming. They represent a wide-range of opinion in yorubaland and are ready for the go. Any discerning mind will admit that project Nigeria is dead spiritually but only waiting to crash physically. There can NEVER be a productive unity of purpose in Nigeria again. Mainstream yoruba and northern citizens irrespective of party affiliations will never vote enmasse for a party that picks a SE candidate for either president or vice post. The igbos have unwittingly burnt the bridges of unity and co-operation across the spectrum. So, why do we continue with the deception ? I only pray the demagogues in the SE and SW in particular and the SS, to a lesser degree, do not wait until they wake up with regional revolutions on their laps before they swing into action. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Ozubulu Killing: Priest Who Officiated The Mass During The Attack Speaks by PenSniper: 11:57am On Aug 08, 2017 |
I've been waiting to hear the officiating priest's comment or testimony before airing my main opinion on this tragedy.
1. I don't know why this blood-red colour for a man of Gods' robe seems always looks satanic to me.
2. The funds used to build the church and probably sustain it comes from alleged proceeds from drugs. This fact is no secret to the church leadership yet they accept it with glee. According to biblical teachings, not all sources of making money agrees with Gods' will. It's a different kettle of fish entirely if the priest is ubaware of the source but to accept such tainted money and material donations that come with is sacrilegious and amounts to tacit or implicite support for criminality. This reminds one of the sin of Achan in the Bible which brought severe repercusions on the children of Israel until Joshua cried unto God who revealed the reason for His turning His back on them. The entire family of Achan paid the price for this sacrilege. Readers are free to deduce their opinions from this but the bottomline of my insinuation is that not all donations or seeds sown are acceptable to the holy God of the Bible. He cannot be bribed nor is He a respecter of any person. Worse still, some who claim to be eye witnesses but are privy to the local knowledge of the connections of the drug baron have been erroneously passing the buck on hausa-fulani genocide claiming to have seen many assailants in army fatigue and vehicles. One even claimed to watch the gate blocked by the vehicles, watched the subsequent massacre but "failed" to note the vehicle's plate number. And he attends mass and eats the "holy cummunion" daily. Lord've mercy. |

I still don't understand why our pastors and priest of these days are not Christlike.
Christ sacrificed himself for the world, yet when it mattered most, this priest pulled off his cassock and hid behind the altar while other people were massacred...When he should have asked to gunmen to kill him and leave his parishioners.
If the captain goes down with the ship how much more a priest? Shame on him. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy; i am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" - John 10 v 10 (kjv). |

Alcatraz005: I greet my fellow forumites especially my immediate constituents (yoruba) and I just want to implore all to resist any provocation by the igbos to destroy our country.
There is nothing to gain in war but much to be lost in a needless conflagration in the most populous black nation on earth. The consequences of a war in Nigeria is better imagined as Syria will be child's play compared to the level of destruction that we will experience in Nigeria. Another reason why we should resist being goaded into conflict by the igbos is because they are a defeated race already hence the constant frustration from them. The effects of the civil war defeat of the igbos is still being felt by them. What we are witnessing right now in the form of the current agitations is that the present generation of igbos just came to the realisation that igbos have been consigned to slave status (2nd class citizens in their own country). This sudden reality is why they are exasperated. It is the stubborn struggle of a dying animal. In Yoruba, we call it (japooro). Ibo n japooro ni.....
Let's face it, the igbos cannot win a free and fair Presidential Election in Nigeria and they know it. Which of the two big tribes will vote for an igbo? None! Igbos have burnt all bridges of friendship and they wish to bring the whole house (Nigeria) on all other peace loving Nigerians. I specifically want to appeal to my Hausa brothers to withdraw the quit notice issued to igbos as insisting on pushing the igbos out will be playing into the grand plans of the enemies of Nigeria. I would not trade the peace and tranquillity of Nigeria for my fervent wish to see igbos punished for their hate and insolence. It is not just worth it. Love trumps hate any day, anytime.
The Igbos are not worth the destruction that will trail the execution of the quit notice. As any discerning mind will notice, the igbos are losing relevance every day as they are now the butt of jokes Nationwide. We should allow them fully express their folly to their full derision and chagrin. We won't fight a war because of Igbos. Never!
I would end with a reference to a principle I encountered in the book, 48 laws of power by Robert Greene. And it goes thus: a strategem is more powerful than weapons of war as it (stratagem) has the power to destroy the lives of babies in the womb of their mothers. An apt example is the genius of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo who without firing a single bullet, defeated the the biafran forces and essentially brought the Nigerian Civil war to an abrupt end through the power of his immense intellect. The effect of Awolowo's sheer intelligence is still being felt by the Igbos today who have essentially been turned to generators of internal revenue for the children of Awolowo and Ahmadu Bello. The war has been won and lost, we do not need another war in Nigeria. Never again!
The Igbo's should be pitied and not hated.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. First of all, it's been a long time ? Now to your post, i agree with you but not on the withdrawal of quit notice, the second and final exodus of igbo and the grating of referendum/biafra. Igbos must go. They enjoyed the best of every aspect of Nigeria pre-66 yet planned to execute other tribes and dominate the entire country. This trait is germane to them. They are innately greedy such that they can never be satisfied. Henceforth, they consitute a security threat to all other tribes so they justchave to go to avoid postponing the inevitable evil day.
