Gbawe: I am really optimistic about Ambode. He actually ran the most comprehensive and robust candidate, of all the APC candidates, to sway delegate votes and gain the ticket. This therefore comes as no surprise. Ambode is appearing like a very proactive, highly prepared and purposeful leader. This really bodes well for Lagos. I am happy this man is my incoming Governor. Thank you. The way Ambode has metamorphosed from a supposedly Tinubu candidate to a Lagosians candidate is a story that should be included in the political science classes in our schools. He has gathered so much momentum and leveraged on the good performance of the incumbent. Based on what is on the ground, he will win very convincingly. |

noblezone: Nigeria is not like any other nation dear!
Like I have said, I am very pragmatic: the violence in the north is tied to religion, it has been like that and will remain like that as long as Islam holds sway. Did you read the report of the 13 year old girl who was induced by her parents into the idea of becoming a suicide-bomb for Allah? Do you think it has anything to do with political leadership?
The "moderate" moslems can continue to live in denial, but there only two options for peace: 1. The emergence of an Islamic cum political leadership with determination for complete Islamisation of Nigeria, or 2. We split into separate countries with them having their Islamic country while we have our own free nation!
At option 1: they will stop the violence but we all will loose our freedom.
At option 2: We will respect each other! and grow side by side.
I insist our problem is rooted in the selfish and wicked amalgamation of 1914 by the brutish British led by the criminal called Luggard. We must sit down and negotiate Nigeria now or continue in this blood bath.
In years to come, people like you will surely bare witness that people like us saw, through to the future. I hope it wont be late by then.
Cheers, my beloved sister. You are always sounding like an harbinger and apostle of doom for Nigeria. |

If Buhari cannot rule for up to 8 years, Buhari clan must insist on another member of the clan to complete the clan's 8 years in office, despite constitutional provision. And in 2023, becoming president shall have become survival of the fittest. Story for orunmila |

LogicPower: In all my discussions with Northerners, I have NEVER heard even an ORDINARY fellow among them, who thinks that it's some Igbos or SS elements that ACTUALLY strap the bombs on themselves and carry out the suicide bombings in the North!
They are enlightened enough to know that if there are some SE/SS VENGEFUL EXTREMISTS within the GEJ's adm who are DESIROUS and HELL-BENT on taking good advantage of their official positions to EXERT REVENGE on the 'children' of Murtala, Gowon and Shuwa, as the Northerners generally suspect, these vengeful extremists do NOT have to carry out the bombings themselves!
In fact they do NOT even have to be physically present in the North for them to be able to use their powerful positions in the GEJ's adm (with or without his knowledge or support) in a way that would AID and ABET the systematic destruction of the north as a 'payback' to the North, or, if they are SS extremists, as a way of checkmating the North and helping 'their son' politically. This theory I'm hearing for the first time and it is dangerous. I hope Igbos have a plan in Nigeria after GEJ, I also hope it is not a general feeling in the north. |

BlackHuman: In 2011, Jonathan looked like a better option to buhari especially to most Neutrals(in which most SWesterners are in dis setup)....But now he's gone into office for four years and totally failed to perform, he has dissapointed many people and he doesn't cut image of some1 who can handle current problems in the country- Most of the people OR a significant chunk of people who voted for him in 2011 won't be doing so again in 2015, the same cannot be said for buhari- because most of those who voted buhari in 2011 are even more pumped-up to do so again now dat victory seems a more possible reality- add dat to the "converts" from jonathan......I think main difference is dat Jonathan has unfortunately proven to be a failure- whereas Buhari loyals can still constructively argue for his case, since he hasn't being tried and failed or atleast not failed up to Jonathan's extent.......GEJ messed it up for himself, he could have had an easy run for 2nd term.if he had done his job well or atleast averagely well. but he went in and totally flopped it- The whole subsidy stuff, the Presidential Pardons, Stella Oduah, e.t.c- add dat to the B.Haram problem which looks totally like somtin beyond his competence.....You don't fail dis much in dis fragile, highly sensitive country and expect to just walk in back again. I think GEJ should have come at another time. Maybe when the country is a lot more stable with lesser problems- but these problems seem too big for him to handle. 10,000,000,000,000 LIKES The turning point for GEJ was sending combat ready military men to stop civil protest in Lagos. His rating started a downward trend from thereon. |
