A quote They did a perfect job. In churches Buhari was branded antichrist and anti-Christians whose ambitions were to islamize the east and persecute Christians. Prayer points were raised and brethren fasted against his emergence. Jonathan was sent by God and only his emergence would save the church So this truly happened. I keep saying that the average Igbo is not in anyway different from the Muslim fanatics in the North (those one calls those against their religion Infidels the way the Easterners calls the muslims anti-Christ) when it comes to issues of religion hatred for the opposite religion.Religion dogmatism is highly prevalent in the Core North and SE, thus there is no way these two people can have peaceful co-existence |

Achuwa1: [s]Point of correction,if u argue about tribe u dont single out an individual,,,dangote might be the richest in africa & adenuga a telecom magnet, but do u know tht anambra state in the east has the highest number of bilionaires in nigeria,,, if u are talking about cities i've being to virtually all sw states,& se states & can confidently tell u tht Lagos is the only city more developed than other se states just like aba is industrialized more than ogun state because the number of life markets & industries in aba has changed cannot be compared with the number of life the few industries in ogun states has touched.. . The markets in aba & onitsha sales far better than whatever market the sw has in the likes of ibadan coz ibadan is even facing recession coz it cant compete anylonger those 2 markets in the se states i just mentioned,,,coz the standard of living in aba & onitsha is far better than tht of ib,,,check out how dirty & backward ibadan is as a commercial city compared to the developement in onitsha & aba... moreso,if u have travelled around the world u wount be talking about lagos & abuja airport because our neighbour here ghana as small as the country is has a more better international airport than ur so called giant of africa,, Finally,if u talk about federal universities in the sw & se they remain the most competitive in the country coz both region can be ranked equals academically so dont be decieved tht u stay in lagos & watch tv stations of things happenong around you.. tour the world & see things for ur self.[/s].. mamaafrik: you are right and also the guy, lagos gives the market(population),security(peace) ,communication (seaport for crude and even export of petrochmical products and nearness to distrubtion depot for final refine product ) it's going to be less cost intensive to build, fuel and distribute power produced by powerplant in lagos too because of ready laid gas layout. This is the key point. Every other resources needed chases Security and peace of mind for investment. |

1wolex85: I dont understand why some of you are so belligerent and always up for a fight when all you simply lack is comprehension skills? How is the defection the same? Some defected to an opposition party that had just been formed from the so called biggest party in africa that had ruled for 16 years, some others defected from a party that lost in the last election to the ruling party and in your mind they are the same? Emancipate yourself from mental slavery and just to add, dont use words for the sake of using them or because others use them, you obviously dont know the meaning of semantics, stick to the simple vocabulary you can understand. It's either they are too dull and lacking in intelligence or they are simply being mischievous in lumping the two scenarios as one. |

Its obvious many people commenting here don't know the context. Those that defected before the election took a great risk when victory was not certain and people like Ameachi, Kwankwanso and Saraki put their political lives on the line. These clearly are not those that Abike have in mind. Abike Dabiri is actually talking to those FOOD IS READY AND ANY GOVERNMENT IN POWER politicians of SE extraction that are currently defecting to APC after the party's victory. |

Former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the Diaspora, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Monday, frowned at the continued gale of defections of politicians from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to her party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dabiri-Erewa who expressed her disgust over the gale of defections, described it as shameful, calling the defectors “political prostitutes.”
In a series of tweets via her Twitter handle, @abikedabiri, the ex-lawmaker, who represented Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Lagos State, however said: “The rate of defection from PDP to APC is shameful. Political prostitutes, politics of convenience, not conviction.”

According to her, the APC should not allow the defections, adding that “But APC leadership thinks otherwise.”
She pointed that “Defection should not be so easy. But hopefully, we will gravitate towards ideology.”
Dabiri-Erewa, however, added that “I will keep airing my minority views on this.”
Recall that last Friday, former governor of old Anambra State, Chief Jim Nwobodo and a former member of the House of Representatives, Uche Ekwunife, who later represented Anambra Central at the Senate, before her election was annulled by the appeal court, defected to the ruling APC. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/rate-of-defection-from-pdp-to-apc-shameful-dabiri-erewa/ |
