concrete fascia precast is measured per meter run (m) not per square meters.

For the above project of 50m perimeters, here is my cost projection

1. workmanship : for moulding, fixing and dressing = N80,000
2. Moulder, side angle and other miscellaneous materials = N7,000
3.Cement for moulding, casting and dressing = N 35bags @ N1,800
= N 63,000
4. sand of one trip = N12,000
5. formwork materials and workmanship = N30,000
6.Reinforcement to head course : N32,000
Total = N 232,000

note: ( including cost of head course, which has been paid for before, subtracting that will leave us with N180,000).

Amount per meter run ( including head course) = N232,000/50 = N4,640.

Amount per meter run ( excluding the head course/beam). =N180,000/50 = N3,600

Thanks for your detailed explanation. This has provided clarity for some things...hopefully we shall be talking soon too.

For these building, we will be using precast concrete fascias :
1. size of precast facial : 450mm
2. Nominal reinforcement/hook of precast facial = 8mm high yield bar
3. mix ratio 1: 3
4. curing time: dry

@450mm....can you explain this?

Please show us the installation process. I have seen plenty of insitu fascia in this site but hardly pre cast.

Please, find attached pictures of frame structure construction of Duplex and attached flats during Foundation work. The type of foundation used is called Raft foundation which is suitable in a water lounge area depending on the numbers of storey of the building.

Did you do a soil test before reaching this conclusion of using a raft foundation? My kno ledge of isheri north is that load bearing capacity o FFC soil is poor and if you had submitted a building plan for approval in this area they would have asked for a soil test report.

We casted the german floor on over a period of 2 days, Thursday 20th and Friday 21st August. We used 3 labours for dumping, 3 mixers, 3 materials carriers and 3 bricklayers(one of them was actually supervising the work because I was in Ogbomosho).

We didn't use a mixing machine (saving cost measures for the client on a tight budget) and that's one of the reason it took us 2 days to cast the german floor. We used a total of 100 bags of cement, 30 tons of coarse aggregate(granite) and 3 trips of 10 tons of fine aggregate(sharp sand).

Won't the cost saved in hiring concrete mixer not be lost in hiring labour for two days and manual mixing of concrete?

Meanwhile This is the Design We concept we made for this Particular View you are seeing. It was part of our contract agreement with client not to display his 3D. But this can be displayed as its the Original Concept for the house but was slightly adjusted to reach a final agreement

These circles on the wall, is it functional or just decorative?

I totally agree with you when you say its always challenging to transform 3D to reality. I have seen some near prefect match though. Will be watching this one closely.
