Thanks

Yes, a deed of gift is still acceptable.

Make sure in the description, your dad puts “gift deed” there so that it reflects when you print out your statement of account.

Also, when submitting your application, include any of your dads signed means of ID (intl passport, Drivers license, etc) as part of the docs you’re submitting for POF.

All the best!!!

Can someone please confirm if Deed of gift from parent is still a good and acceptable for POF? Like someone daddy deposit lumpsum into the applicants account to use as POF.

Question 3
- see link and screenshot https://www.ontario.ca/page/applying-ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-oinp

Other important info about granting OINP access to his ECA report and the new requirement for a consent letter are on the OINP webpage.

Question 1 - his profile will become ineligible once his IELTS expires...he must rewrite IELTS......and update the new results before expiry of the old IELTS result.

Hello Guru in the house please help, a friend just got NOI from OINP HCS. He has the following questions:

My IELTS is expiring end of April while my passport expires first week of May. I may not be able to get new passport within 45.day. Here my questions:

1. If I submit application to OINP with IELTS that would expire next month. What’s the implication when it expires? Do I have to write a new IELTS?

2. can I apply with the passport that’s about to expire and then use webform to update when I receive new passport?

3. My EE profile expires end of March, if I create new profile before submitting application, do I still need to inform OINP about the new profile.

thanks as I await you kind assistance and advice

Hello people,

Has anyone heard or be in situation before? After PPR and Student visa has been given for a 1 year course, the school wrote that they have insufficient space in the program and now transferred the applicant to a new program which is a 2-year course. They issued him new LOA and payment receipt. He paid full fee for the 1-year program and the school transfer this for payment of 1st year of the 2-year program

How would this situation be explained at the POE? Will he be given 1-year study permit or 2-year. It's not a common situation and be great if anyone can share advice or experience.

Please delete the letter. Then use marker to erase your names, UCI and application no before attaching it. Those info shouldn’t be posted in public domain like this.

Kalclinton:

This is my letter
I will be grateful if you can tell me what you did differently the. 2nd time. You applied or if you can share the list of the kind of documents you submitted

Hi Gurus,

Welldone for the good job.

Please do i have to explain lumpsums from my personal account to my corporate account run by my spouse and I?

I seem to be getting conflicted on the matter! Because its like me getting explaining lumpsums between 2 of my personal accounts. Please what is the right thing to do?

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Pepman: 10:40pm On May 08, 2023
You need to reconfirm that the payment went through and was not reversed. If you are sure, then send them evidence of payment. I guess your approval is ready, once this is confirmed you should get PPR. All the best.

Travel / Re: Living In Saskatchewan, Canada by Pepman: 10:36pm On May 08, 2023
My opinion:
SINP doesn’t award point for rural or whatever city you choose to stay. So you can choose any city and you won’t be compelled to stay there because you chose it in your application.

Since your step sister is yet to travel, it would be wrong to say you have a relative there in the EOI. Also there’s you can’t gain points from her until she stays there for 1 year. So better don’t take risk that can be misconstrued as misrepresentation.

Lastly, you can just select all provinces in your express entry except if you are only co soldering Saskatchewan. Some provinces go to express entry and draw candidates there based on certain criteria

Sumam:
Thank you so much guys .

Pls I want to ask, when filling EOI for sinp which area can I pick I.e Regina or any area based on job offer.

Secondly my step sister got PR recently through sinp but she is yet to travel to canada(planning to go before August), I can fill Yes to a relative in my EOI form.
Note- she has not moved , neither lived or worked there for a year.
Lastly , is it advisable to update my Federal express entry profile to select Saskatoon as the province I want to relocate to in canada.
Pls
Advice
Travel / Re: Living In Saskatchewan, Canada by Pepman: 10:29pm On May 08, 2023
My advice, since you already paid the fee. She should go for the studies, SINP will still take some months to be completed and the study would help you settle down faster when you eventually get PR. Do you plan to accompany her for the studies? Who is the primary applicant for the SINP?

dmaygee:
Dear Nairalanders,
Please I need your advice on these situations.
My wife got admitted into a University in Alberta. The school resumes this fall, and we've paid 100% tuition fees to brighten our visa chances.

Now, just last week, we got ITA from SINP to submit our documents.

What do you advice that we do, as we don't want to waste these opportunities?

Thank you and God bless.

PR is of course the best way to migrate to Canada and any other country that offers such option. . Most people are choosing studies because they can’t make it through express entry and PNPs are extremely competitive.

If you don’t mind, if you drop your no in my DM, I would give you a call. I’m In GTA at the moment.

Edc2:

It’s been months here, you are right about PR holders struggling from beginning but their struggle is not the same with students. It’s harder for students . A Neighbor of mine who is a PR holder from Poland is doing menial jobs here and he is a licensed doctor from Poland. But the thing is, where he works is 3 hours away from home, using TTC , he could easily get a car and go to work because he is not studying. Imagine if a student is going to a workplace 3 hours away everyday, how long can such student keep such job. Even the PR holder is also complaining because he can’t even save anything from is 3200cad a month job after paying all bills and car insurance.on the outside looking in, people won’t know how this place is until they come in! It is Better than nigeria in anything no doubt but it is way below many expectations !

That’s an option if he has G licence

tenderjunkie:

It's not easy.
Just be encouraged with the fact that hard times don't last forever.

What about the possibility of getting a car and using it for uber. That way you won't need to commute 3hrs to go to work
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by Pepman: 8:55pm On May 08, 2023
I understand your points, it’s important for people to manage expectations. But you would be fine, it’s usually like that at the begining, you are only there for couple of weeks now, by the time you settled fully you would look back and laugh. Many PR holders struggle at the beginning too. GTA is an expensive place to stay

Edc2:
.
Yeah brother school is in Ontario Toronto and it’s pretty tough out here. Very hard to get a job aswell.

I see some people open there mouth to talk anyhow saying students didn’t come with enough BTa or something, I just laughed. Me and my few friends spend over 1300 dollars each every month . Do the Maths in nigeria money that’s almost N780,000 plus if you use the black market which is what we use . That is some people salary in nigeria for a whole year.

Let me break it down. A room here is from 850cad each month which is even shared toilet and kitchen. Some of my friends are paying a thousand cad each month. You will buy foodstuffs, transportation, phone bill and other things.

Now tell me how much you want to come in with from naija without a job , how long can you last before going broke. People just come online saying bta bla bla bla. Even if you have enough bta to last you a whole year, without working , how do you balance it up. I am repeating myself if you are not from a rich home or you don’t have money to survive here, it’s better you come with a PR so that you can live anywhere. Also note that here is not UK or other part of the world where everyone is doing social work. To even get social work job here you will go to School , if you check centennial college PSW is 17k cad above. Some peope do short courses but at the end of the day it won’t get them license.

Everything here is different, you go to school or get a license for common liquor store job, even to climb long heights you go to school to get license.

Good evening house, asking for a friend. is it possible to get approved even when Eligibility has not started and Medical (Upfront Medicals) has not been passed? We have asked a couple of friends outside of nairaland, and some said they got their PPR the same day their Medical was passed and Eligibility started the same day, but I told him to, lemme comma confirm from my people on nairaland. Your answer will be appreciated, especially from peeps that have had this experience before.`

This is very possible and it happens a lot of time. VO may not update the profile status until everything is concluded. Yes you can get approved and everything will be updated at the end. Best of luck

Sorry for the delay response but I see that your concerns have been well dealt with. Any medical done before you get medical request is upfront medical. It can be done before you submit your application or after. One of the benefit is because it's difficult to get dates for medical these days. In my case, no medical request was sent by the VO. After sending the e-medical sheet through webform and those emails, they updated to medical passed

sudo1986:
I am confused here bro. You did medical after Biometric, and you still call it upfront medical. How did you submit it if they've not requested for it and you did it. Kindly share more light.

Education / Re: Share Your Experience With Josh Writing Services (SOPwriter) by Pepman: 8:26pm On May 01, 2023
I contacted Josh writing to help with SOP writing for my brothers application because he has over 15years study gaps and was concerned about how to put it all together. Josh did an excellent job. My initial thought was that he would just do the writing and hand it over. But helped all the way through from the begining of the application up to submission. The application was approved in about 6 weeks after submission. I recommend his service.

Pls house like how many months can one reapply again afetr a visa us refused

You can reapply as long as you feel you have addressed the concerns regarding your refusal. It is usually recommended to order GCMS to check details of the concerns and know how to address them but GCMS is not mandatory

There is no set duration for eligibility reviews. Depends on the VO and the application specificities. When did your eligibility review start?

You cannot combine full time study with full-time work. It's a red flag. As a matter of fact even part-time in a remote capacity is a bad idea. Rather go for full study leave, this is my view, others may have contrary opinion.

Gentlesoul3268:
Please is it good idea if company stated on introduction letter that employee will continue working in full remote capacity during his study?

Lastly, can someone leased out a property for period of time and use the funds to sponsor himself for the study , and what if the fund was paid in once which seen as a lump sum. But he as adequate documents to back it up ?

bullstriker:

Unlike PR applications, temporary resident applications are based on the discretion of the VO handling your applications. As a result, expect different answers to your question.
If you can connect the program, school and your ambition, you should have no issue, especially if the school is a DLI and the program is PGWP-eligible. For example, you can say that the college is a small school with a small class size which makes it even easier to have a closer learning interaction with the instructors. You can go further to discuss the method of learning the college uses in Project Management and that it is your best method. Vos likes to know that you have done your research.

What I can say regarding the information you received is that if proof of funds barely meets the requirement (considering the low tuition fee), and you have chosen an affordable school, it could raise the issue of the ability to cover the cost of study without working in Canada. So, it is not because of the school per se but how the VO views your intentions for choosing the school. Show you are financially capable, and the school will not be an issue. There are many Nigerian studying at Holland College, and I have helped many with their application.

There are lots of affordable Project Management in Ontario. Could you share why you don’t want to go to Ontario? Maybe the information you have regarding Ontario and your ambition is incorrect. Let me know if you want to apply to other schools outside Ontario for Project Management, but the tuition fee will not be as affordable

Compliments House,

Please are there people that have applied to Holland College and got approved for students visa. Someone was saying that the college is not popular with the VO and that because the fee isn't as high as others that visa might might denied. Real life experience and the experts advice would be appreciated. Looking at PGD Project Management and not many schools offer the course except in Ontario which I don't want.

Thanks

Technological Startup requires alot of energy and enthusiasm. While age is not a major factor, anyone above 45 won't be considered.

How old would an ideal programmer be to fit this profile?
