That's just it! Beating a toddler isn't the way to curb such behaviour. I've asked and seen other moms going thru same with their wards I'm convinced it will pass.

It's our duty to make sure they don't injure them selves or other in this process! I keep remotes and other weighty objects out of his reached so even if he must throw it won't be anything injurious.

They can so get on your nerves most times but I try to chill and count to 10 before I correct him with a calm and stern voice. Beating from childhood made me distance myself from my mom emotionally that till date i find it difficult to confide in her! I don't remember the nights she stayed awake watching over my sick ass BUT vividly remember the canes and yell!

I dont want my child to grow up distancing his feelings from me due to repressed memory of beatings.

A little smack here and there isn't bad but it shouldn't be a constant way of correction! Ask those that beat if it did any good? Other than make the child afraid and withdrawn?
Please don't beat get him distracted immediately you see him raise something to throw.

My son(1yr+11months) use to throw things at sm1bt weneva he does dat,i spank his hand(lightly though) snd say to him "no one threw this thing at you so dont throw at ppl,just hand it over". And he will js jejely give u. As for the yelling and shouting,aaaahhhh dat 1 na surebanka! Lastweek,i heared my neighbour shouting at het daughter and saying "i will kill u",am i smiling" and i wondered why should she say such words...

My son is hyper-hyper-active!!! The caning does not actually work for all bt one must let them kn dat they will be spanked IF dey do wrong. I usually cut d tiny part of the flower branch in my compound 4 my son and once he sees it,he will just "reverse" and shout "cane". I dont use it on him but it "curbs" him and then he will suddenly become lovey-dovey with me and starts saying "my baby"(dats what my hubby calls me)i.e "put d cane down and cuddle me. I just laugh.

What im trying to say is that,the caning/beating doesnt always work! It gets 2 a time where it doesnt mean anytin 2d child. The child will think(after s/he has done smtin wrong)shebi na cane/beat "odeshi" and dats y u see that the more u beat,the more d child gets stubborns...

Just akways PRAY and TALK to them and yes,THEY WILL OUTGROW THIS PHASE!

But Boys are full of IJOGBON(yoruba mothers can relate).

Pls stop using the gel and use only the methylated spirit.

Drugs keh?! Who told you that? Shebi ye baby was delivered with no issue? Why the need for drugs? Pls mama dont give yr baby any drug o. Whateva nutrients/vitamins your baby needs,she will get it from the breastmilk. In otherwords,you must eat healthyly and wisely.

Yes,u cant take any food yet but they should let u chew gum(orbit chewing gum-the one with d blue pack) and plenty of trebor! These will help u fart no matter how minimal d fart is. I had cs and these 2things helped me alot...

For me o,i dont think u can fart without d help of the chewing gum/trebor(lots of it).

So we went for our 6weeks immunization(penta1)& honestly,it not funny o. My baby has being so fussy since morning and running temperature but i've given him pcm. My first child never reacted this way o(i guess children are different sha...)


With my first,he had all his immunization in the private hospital i delivered and i pay N3000 at for each immunization...
I wanted him to take d polio immunization when someone ditected me to a PHC-Centre. I never knew immunization there is FREE o. Nawa for Private hospital o and Government supplies all Hosp etc free o.

After taking that my garden egg leave juice and condensed milk, my sisters, I start purge ooo. I kept on purging and purging. I took 3 bottles of sprite mixed with salt and sugar before I got myself back. Don't know if the concoction made me purge or my system just decided to purge itself. Next time, I will chew the thing, no juicing sef.
Just thought I should share since I posted it here before someone will decide to try it.

When i was pregnant with my first,i juiced ugwu and mixed with liquid milk to boost my blood level and it really worked o cus i dint need any blood after d cs.
