The Supreme Court of Nigeria has nullified the victory of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Emeka Ihedioha and has declared Senator Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) validly elected governor of Imo state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Ihedioha winner of the March 9, 2019 Governorship elections in Imo state having defeated his closest rival Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA) with 273,404 to 190,364 votes. Senator Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress APC came third with 96,458 votes.

Recall that there were series of issues surrounding the collation of the results which forced the electoral body to temporary suspend the announcement of results; however Ihedioha was finally announced winner and in a swift, Uche Nwosu of the AA headed for the Tribunal.
Nwosu is a son-in-law to the immediate-past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, who was elected to the Senate on the platform of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 general election in the state.

As tension reached the heights ahead of the Supreme Court judgment on January 14, Nwosu’s lawyer, Solomon Umoh (SAN), told the seven-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Tanko Muhammad made an attempt to withdraw the appeal.

Recall that the Supreme Court had ruled on December 20, 2019, the case marked SC1384/2019 that Nwosu was not validly nominated as a candidate of the AA to participate in the March 9, 2019. Consequently, he made a last minute attempt to withdraw from the case.

Responding, counsel for respondents to the appeal, including Governor Emeka Ihedioha, who won the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, urged the court to dismiss the appeal having been withdrawn.

However, making their unanimous decision, the 7-man panel held that the lower court was wrong in its ruling. Reading the lead judgment, Justice Kekere-Ekun declared that Senator Uzodinma is the validly elected Governor and the certificate of return issued to Ihedioha be withdrawn.


BUT WHAT WAS THE MAJOR MISTAKE THAT SOMEHOW AFFECTED HIM?


Iheadioha's administration focused too much on the past governor Rochas Okorocha. In August 2019, a report surfaced that he issued an order for the arrest and prosecution of Okorocha. This was greeted with widespread uproar that the new governor should tread softly.
The Ohaneze described the move as an invitation to anarchy which is capable plunging the state into chaos.

The Imo PDP also did not help matters. Rather than focus on governance, they kept too much energy on the previous administration of Okorocha and also alleged that the ex-governor left the state with a liability of N300billion.

Several attempts were made by elders in the state to resolve the face-off between the two political figures, but all failed woefully.

If you have ever had the privilege of living close to a highway or any house with a properly motorable road in the environment, you will agree with me, that there is a certain way a driver will slam the brakes and you will know for sure it's a accident.

This was the story on December 26 2019, boxing day, when a Jeep owner decided to sandwich himself between two cars on Irewolede road in the wee hours of a cold harmattan morning.
I am under no obligation to tell you what I was on my way to purchase, what I can tell you is that my purchase will definitely help keep the harmattan cold at bay till the sun comes up.

My guess is that the guy driving the jeep and the girl on the passenger seat also had the idea of nullifying the dreadful cold, but thier tactics varied.
I was almost out of the neighborhood and on the Irewolede highway when i heard; skrrrrrrrrrrr gbe!!!
I automatically knew it had happened; before I got there, law abiding Nigerian citizens where already at the scene.

The driver was just getting out of the car, looking discombobulated and he kept repeating the same thing;
"Your hand is too soft."
"Your hand is just too soft, too soft."
The girl in turn, never said a word, she just crossed the road and sat down by the culvert, holding her head in her hands and covering her face with her hair.

As the case would be, this loving couple we're coming home from a night rave and on the way home had decided to spice things up by way of using the hand to do a particular job.
Apparently, the girl was so good at the job at hand that the man lost control of the jeep in the split moment which he witnessed cloud nine.

It is glad to note that we Nigerians are being more tolerant to certain issues, because after a full disclosure of the incident, the crowd that gathered broke into laughter and the owners of the affected vehicles, decided to let Gods will be done.

No police men where involved in this case.

You might have had a very rough experience dealing with different sermons, teachings, revelations, prophecies and more in the year 2019 from different places that you almost or have lost your root as a believer. There is good news for you, Just know that God loves you and never want you to die in ignorance, carelessness or end your life on earth in confusion.

It is very important that you know that there are Churches you shouldn't have attended in the year 2019. The Holy Bible, in Revelation 2v3, gives us some clarity of church that might have lost their way. Even though, the Bible did mention some positive things that these same churches were doing. Which means they were not totally bad.

And kindly put it in mind that No Church is 100% perfect, all are run by humans like yourself and are bound to make mistake. But you must be wise and be aware that some of these Churches can lead you to hell if care is not taken. Below are some of the Churches you must avoid in the year 2020:

1. Club-Like Church

In such Churches, social activities have taken the place of Sunday school teachings, prayers, rooted sermons and thereby have lost focus on what the body of Christ should be. Most Churches today are been based on (Miracle performance, Deliverance, and Breakthroughs), all these are good though. but when the teaching of God's word becomes scarce in any Church, people are bound to be misled. Songs sang in such churches and clothes they put on have almost no different from that of the Clubs.

2. Church That Teaches Wrong Doctrines

Wrong doctrine may lead someone to quoting the scriptures wrongly. It’s important to receive the messages that you hear in a church with eagerness, but it is also vital to examine the Scriptures yourself to see if what was spoken was biblically true or not (Acts 17v11).

3. Church That Has Lost Its First Love

The primary role of any Church is to help you grow and strengthen your faith. It has now become nearly impossible for Churches and its leadership to focused on helping members of the church draw closer to God. Churches today have lost their first love. Politics has become the business of the day in the church instead of sharing God’s love. Gaining numbers in money and attendance becomes a prime concern. You must Run from this type of Church.

4. Churches That Never Convicts You of Sin

There are quite a number of Christians who have no conscience, they don't know when they are wrong or right, everything they do seems good to them. When the word of God is preached, you should feel uncomfortable at times. We all fall short of where we should be. Remember in the bible that Nathan the prophet convicts King David of sin; (2 Samuel 12).
We all need a Nathan in our lives to show us Sin that we either don’t see or have pushed down so we can avoid it. Anytime the word of God is preached, it should be able to point out the times when we’ve acted wrongly.

5. Churches That Doesn't Preach the Death And Resurrection Of Jesus

God's only son came to earth purposely to die on the cross for the sin of men, in other to redeem men back to there root. But as it is today, there are Churches that do not believe the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. After Jesus' crucifixion, he was laid in the dark tomb. but three days later, both the cross and the tomb were empty. The Resurrection is pivotal to all Christian faith; if Jesus didn’t rise again, we might as well bulldoze all the churches because preaching and faith would be useless. Check Mathew 28:1v20 in your bible.

Avoid these churches in this year 2020. Relate back to the bible to affirm any kind of teaching. Let the bible be your center reference and your guide.

Nigeria has a lot of Nigerians in it. So many (179 million) that if you took half of them out of the country, Nigeria would still have the highest population of any African country.
The Nigerian phone market in recent times has become saturated with fake phones and many unsuspecting buyers have been scammed into buying fake phones for the price of an original one. Fake phones especially Android phones have become so rampant that one wonders if phone dealers are deliberately taking advantage of their customers.

I noticed that most of the fake phones in the market are the so called ‘UK or London Used Phones’ and fairly used phones, there are also fake new phones but they don’t seem to be as many as the used phones.

Most of these fake phones match the original phones almost exactly in design and since most phone buyers are not tech savvy, they are very easily deceived. Many people do not know they bought a fake phone until after a while when they probably meet someone with the original version of the phone and find huge differences between their phone and the original. Even small phones popularly called ‘Torchlight phones’.
Before you hurriedly buy or upgrade to a new phone, here are some things to consider:

Buying phones from roadside sellers or unauthorised outlets goes with a lot of risks as experiences of many patrons of such unregistered dealers have confirmed.

Complaints of overheating, battery malfunctioning and many more are on the increase. Some, including very expensive smartphones, break down irretrievably almost immediately after purchase.

Therefore, before you buy phone, here are some things to consider:

1. Don’t buy phones which parts are not readily available in Nigeria.

2. Avoid buying used or second-hand smartphones either from the roadside or from an unregistered outlet. Failure to exercise this caution may lead to regret. You may also be unknowingly buying a stolen phone. Buying a new smartphone will ensure that you know the phone’s history and it comes with a battery that has long lifespan.

3. Don’t buy a phone you cannot afford its parts in case you want to repair. Don’t let competition or peer pressure push you. Live within the boundary of your income .

4. Don’t rush to buy a newly introduced phone. If you wait for a few months, you would discover that the price will crash.

5. Avoid phones that are not designed for the Nigerian weather.

6. Phones which the operating system will no longer be supported in 2020, such as Blackberry phones, iPhone running iOS 8 or older ones, should be avoided.

Some filling stations and their attendants now adopt different strategies to cheat unsuspecting customers.
I write to expose the fuel pump scam so that if you want to fill your car tank with diesel or petrol you will prevent the fraudulent attendants at the filling stations from cheating you.
Find below the strategies adopted by some filling stations and their attendants to short changed you while patronising them:

1. TAMPERING WITH THE METER : Some filling stations tampered with their meters so that you will get less litres of petrol, diesel or kerosene dispensed.
To detect this, get a new four litres keg and asked the attendants to dispense fuel worth four litres. If the four litres keg is not full, then the meter has been tampered.

2. DISPENSING LESSER QUANTITY OF FUEL AGAINST THE ACTUAL LITRES : If you are not observant, the attendant will for instance, dispense N1,500 fuel against N2,500 requested.
To prevent this, insist that the attendant programme on the meter, the actual amount of fuel you intend to buy before dispensing the it.

3. CONTINUING WITH PREVIOUS SALES: If you are in haste, some attendants continue dispensing fuel from the amount previously sold to another customer. For example, if customer A bought fuel worth N1,500 and you asked the attendant to dispensed fuel worth N5,000. Rather than starting the sales from 0:000, the attendant will start from previous sales and you will get a fuel worth N3,500 instead of N5,000.
Be vigilant, ensure that the meter reads 0000 at the beginning.

4. YOUR GET AIR RATHER THAN FUEL : Some filling stations also short changed their customers by pumping air into the tank rather than fuel. It is either there is no much fuel or they manipulate the fuel pump.
You can detect this when the pump dispense the fuel faster than the ordinary. In addition, insist that the nozzle is not placed on the fast mode.

5. THE LATEST FRAUD: A social media user exposed the latest strategy adopted by the attendants:
"These digital fuel pumps are being used by filling station attendants to scam fuel buyers when you are buying into vehicle tank."
"It had happened to me several times but my suspicion was not confirmable and contestable."
"I opted to buy N2,500.00 fuel. The attendant programmed the pump accordingly. As he was selling, I fixed my eyes on the amount meter as it was reading. The attendant tried to distract me to no avail."
"Surprisingly, when the meter read to N1,734.00, it tripped to N2,500.00. Immediately, I told him the meter has jumped. He did not argue. He pressed something and the figure of N1,734.00 reappeared. He then sold the balance of N766.00; this is the amount I would have lost on N2,500.00 purchase. Imagine my likely loss if I had wanted to buy N10,000.00 fuel."

"Shine your eyes when buying fuel into your car tank."
"If you are opportune to read this, please share on your timeline and to your WhatsApp contacts and on all groups you belong. Already, filling station owners have adjusted their pumps to dispense less than correct quantity of fuel, and attendants are cheating on programmed figures! Double loss. This scam must stop.

If that’s your question, then you are probably clueless as to who Pablo Escobar was and what he could do.
In 1986, he instigated a takeover of the palace of justice which led to the death of 11 Supreme Court justices and 90 other people.
Later in November of the same year, his bomb brought down an Avianca Airliner in Columbia killing 107 people. That was the day he officially became one of the most feared terrorists in the world.
He was believed to have ordered the killing of three out of the five presidential candidates in 1989.
Between January and May of 1991, Pablo’s hit men had killed four hundred policemen. He was assassinating journalists, judges, and politicians as if they were ants.
His well-calculated campaign of murder and kidnapping against judges and prosecutors so intimidated the nation that they abandoned trial by jury and began appointing faceless judges to prosecute crimes.
The judges had to be faceless because once as a judge you are assigned to handle any of Pablo Escobar’s cases, you are dead.


In Medellin, the second largest city in Colombia, he was killing 6 policemen per day. He placed rewards on the heads of police officers he considered as threats and paid a higher sum for killing those of higher ranks.
So while the government placed a reward on his head for his capture, in return, he placed a reward on the heads of his chasers.
In Bogota, the capital of Colombia, there was car bombing almost every day, no thanks to him.
He made his country look like they were running a system of government known as Narcocracy- a government of drug dealers, by drug dealers, and for drug dealers.
He was always one step ahead of those who wanted him dead. He was able to stay ahead because he had heavily paid moles everywhere; in government, in the police, in the army, on the streets etc.
And if you think you are not corrupt, just wait till Pablo Escobar makes an offer to you and you are able to turn it down, then you can beat chest as to your integrity.
His offers were outrageously irresistible. He could afford to pay for anything. Remember, he was the 7th richest man on earth.


To buttress this point, here is an excerpt from the book- Killing Pablo (The hunt for the world’s greatest outlaw):
“The colonel was surprised and alarmed. How had this man known to find him in Bogota?
‘I come to talk to you obligated’, the retired officer said with a pained expression.
Martinez asked what he meant.
‘If I did not agree to come and talk to you, they could easily kill me or my family.’
Then the man offered the colonel $6 million, a bribe from Pablo Escobar to call off the hunt.”
$6 million dollars in 1991? That was good money. Anyway, Pablo Escobar finally pressured the government into abandoning the extradition policy.


And sometime in 1991, he negotiated his surrender on his own terms. The prison where he was to serve a few years prison term was built by him.
But it wasn’t even a prison; it was more like a palace, where he lived like a sultan. Inside the prison, he had access to choice food and drinks, beauty queens and whores. In fact, he was still running his multi-billion dollars drug business from the supposed prison.
But even with his luxurious lifestyle in the prison, something strange happened on July 2nd, 1992.
On that day, the world woke up to the horrific news that Pablo Escobar had escaped from prison. It was one of the greatest shocks the world had ever experienced.


It certainly was more than President Gaviria could chew, and so he finally agreed to allow the United States to move in for the manhunt.
The US immediately deployed its elite soldiers, law enforcement agents, and their military’s most sophisticated electronic eavesdropping unit to the chase.
It is worthy to note that the US was particularly interested in the manhunt because 90% of Escobar’s drug shipment was to the United States. So they had some interest to protect.
But one would have thought that with the US moving in with their sophistication and millions of dollars at their disposal that it was only going to take a day or so to sniff out the rat.
Yet, it took good 15 months after moving in before they finally got him; which of course was not without further loss of hundreds of lives.
Pablo Escobar was finally killed on 4th Dec. 1993.
He died at the age of 44. He died in a gun battle on a rooftop in the city of Medellin.
You see, maybe if these young men who had attempted robbing a bank had known the story of Pablo Escobar and how he ended, they may have had a rethink before embarking on that robbery.
But it's too late for them now. But not too late for anyone out there still contemplating a life of crime.
So here is the lesson: Crime does not pay.

What is Urine?

Urine is a yellowish fluid stored in the bladder and discharged through the urethra. It is one of the body's chief means of eliminating excess water and salt, and also contains nitrogen compounds such as urea and other waste substances removed from the blood by the kidneys.

The Formation of urine begins when the kidney filters unwanted substances from the blood and produce urine to excrete them, this process is known as (ULTRAFILTRATION).
There are three main steps of urine formation, these are;
*Ultrafiltration
*Selective Reabsorption
*Secretion.
These processes ensure that only waste and excess water are removed from the body.

Ultrafiltration
This is the first step in urine formation.
In this stage, the blood that enters the kidney moves to a special ball of capillaries called the glomerulus. The glomerulus is nestled within a region of the kidney called the Bowman's Capsule. This is where filtration occurs. As blood is pushed through the tiny capillaries, the high-pressure forces some things to pass through the capillary walls. The walls act as a sieve or a filter to remove water, sugar, salts, amino acids, nitrogenous wastes, and other tiny things that enter the kidney.

Selective Reabsorption
In Selective Reabsorption, the filtrate formed from ultrafiltration enters the kidney in the proximal tubule. This region of the kidney is special because many things can be removed from the filtrate. These valuable things are recollected, or reabsorbed, by the body.
Glucose, certain salts, vitamins, hormones, and amino acids are restored to the body and will not be included in the urine. Sometimes, if the body has too much of something then the extra sugar or salt will stay in the filtrate. For example, diabetics with high levels of blood glucose may have glucose in their urine since it cannot all be reabsorbed. The filtrate after reabsorption is like pre-urine

Secretion
This is the final stage of urine formation.
In this stage, the filtrate enters the Loop of Henle where it gains and loses water and salt. As it leaves the Loop of Henle, it enters the distal tubule, where secretion occurs.
