Great insight OP thanks alot man |
rationalmind:The basic here depends on what appliances you want to power, that will give the size of inverter to go for, and then the hours you want it to go will determine the size of battery needed. As for not using solar panel.. How often do you have light in your place. Make sure you have adequate hours of light (but that will depend on the size of the system to be used) because if your batteries aren't properly charged your batteries will die off on time. My advice get a professional solar Enginer to do it so you don't end up regretting your investment. Also go for good batteries batteries are key in solar installation. Bad Battery bad work, it will work for some while and then die off. Note: Solar/inverter is an investment and it suppose to have a time of return on investment (ROI) so don't waste money and end up crying without saving up the suppose fuel money for any other project during the time in which the solar/inverter system is at use. 5 SECRET TRAPS TO AVOID BEFORE INVESTING IN SOLAR ENERGY IN NIGERIA With the increase in Electricity tariff, hike in fuel price and the existing power problem faced by many in Nigeria, there is need for a sustainable and alternative power source to help complete daily task, meet up deadlines, work and live a comfortable life and stay safe (crime prevails under darkness). Renewable energy is the only hope of the common man for energy and solar is taking the lead in this aspect. But just like any other aspect of life, there are secrets if not taken note of you will up wasting money, not getting value for money spent on such an investment. In order to avoid such problem, and coming to the conclusion that Solar Energy is a waste of investment and a scam. This piece will help EXPOSE You to the 5 SECRET traps associated with Solar Energy Technology. SECRET #1 The most important Component in your Solar System is the Battery.... If YOU get it wrong from the beginning... Your Entire Voyage into the Solar World will be marred by... Great Misery. Great Anger. Regrets. And thus, great burning desire to discourage anyone you know not to venture into the Solar World. The Nigerian market is Flooded with all kinds of substandard Batteries... Thanks mostly to Chinko and some selfish importers... It only takes a professional Solar Engineer to be able to identify such bad batteries; sometimes the desire to make more no matter what it takes makes some to go for these poor batteries. Professional advice #1 Rather than managing and spending on low batteries add some money and get good materials with great warranties, the extra cost is nothing compared to the pain, stress and problem associated with poor materials. NOTE: A poor Job will always overshadow Cheap Price SECRET #2 This is the Reason Why Your Solar/Inverter Deep Cycle Batteries (200Ah, 100Ah, 150Ah etc) which Usually Last You UP to 12hrs or a whole day when you Installed it Initially Doesn't Last up to 30 Minutes Any More. Here is Why Batteries are made up of Cells, and each Cell is made up of Electrolyte- medium-dilute Sulphuric Acid 2H2SO4 and Lead (Pb) Plate (+ve and -ve) Equation Pb + 2H2SO4 =PbSO4 + SO2 + 2H2O When you are powering the electrical load/equipments in your house, the battery is discharging. Discharging Equation PbSO4 + SO2 + 2H2O From the Equation you see that the lead plate attract the SO4 to itself, making the plate PbSO4. When you recharge your battery this is the result, Pb + 2H2SO4. The lead discharge the SO4 which goes into the electrolytes and recombines to form the 2H2SO4 System is balanced. Here is what makes your battery weak. When you discharge your battery and you don't recharge it properly to 100%, the SO4 on the lead plate Pb doesn't get off from the plate totally, As you keep using the Battery, and is not recharged properly, over time, the SO4 gets glued to the Lead plate Pb and becomes hard to remove by Charging the battery. This becomes an Insulator or a covering on the Lead plate. There by covering the Lead plate stopping it from conducting properly, this affects the electrolyte also, making it weak in it content. The overall effect is a weak Battery that doesn't hold power any more. Your battery might be looking new and clean, but it doesn't provide power for long anymore. Partial State of Charge PSOC has affected it. Professional advice #2 So please, whenever you drain your solar/inverter battery, ensure you charge it properly before using it the next time. Else the battery won't last as expected We have batteries which are manufactured to overcome this PSOC effects and will last you for long. I Hope This Helps More secrets coming up soon that will be when I notice people are really interested in this. Thank you. Moda1:Good day. As for what happened to your neighbour this is as a result of either of the following or even both. 1) Use of inferior materials 2) Lack of proper system sizing. Sorry, this might be a long one but, you will surely get value from it. 1) As we all know just like every other aspect of life there are fake materials out there in the market thanks to Chinko products (very good Chinko dey ooo) and is not really easy to identify some of the fake ones, it only takes a professional to be able to identify them. Sometimes the home-owner looking for cheaper products end up falling into the hands of hungry solar installers and at the end, they get those inferior materials for them because they are looking for money. Before you know what is happening and in the shortest period of time everything fails. Thus, bringing about pain, regret and frustration. These types of unsatisfied customers are the ones that end up preaching the gospel of solar being a scam and a waste of money. Note: The pain of a poor job will always overshadow a cheap price. 2) And the other reason is the lack of proper solar system sizing. every component of solar energy is meant to sized properly starting from the solar panels, the inverter the solar battery, charger controller the size of wire and even protective breaker. Once any component is not properly sized that solar installation is bound to fail, so what really happened to your neighbour is that his system was not really sized well. Once it runs on an undersized battery or panel the system will fail. Let's take for instance what your system is meant to carry is 4 batteries from the sizing done using some design calculation, rather you end up using just 2 batteries. These 2 batteries will be overworked and thus making it to fail within a short time. Batteries are not supposed to be drained down to 0% in good system sizing. Batteries are supposed to be drained up to 50% and the remaining batteries are doing the other work because there is provision for backup. So what really happened to your Neighbour is that there was no proper system sizing so the batteries were draining and no sufficient charges from the solar panel. Probably what is even charging up the battery from the solar panel is not even up to what is being drained from the battery, so that will make the batteries week. It will work very well in the first few months and that is the end. So to properly size a system some calculations are being carried out, and that can be done by taking into cognizance the loads to be used in the house and not the size of the house (two bedrooms flat, three rooms and polour) as some persons feel. I believe this really clear some issues. Solar is really an investment with high ROI (return on investment). These is because it will take off the cost of buying fuel and paying for energy, stress, gen noise and carbon emission, thus keeping your family safe. But note it takes a while and can be achieved when handled by a professional solar engineer and not anyhow installers out here. Thank you. Sets of idiots, this how they graduate into becoming armed robbers, because you can't be a hard man and watch yourself go hungry so you must want to go into crime to make some money to please your fellow community of lazy girls. Is not your mates that are doing hard labor with their strength in Dei dei building material market, or nwa boy at spare parts Zuba, or even Hawking under berger fly over. |
Later one aspiring rapist will wake up to say women are been raped because of their indecent way of dressing. If I may ask was the little girl dressing indecent? A rapist is a rapist. Ok if is because of indecent dressing why not go rape a prostitute ( rape and collect bottle for head). His scrotum should be smashed. Am a guy for people that might feel am not, I hate rapist I hate them with passion. |

No no no, this is the wrong time for politics, this is a pandemic ravaging the whole world, it isn't as a result of the action(s) of a political party. Yes am not disputing the fact that this government got it wrong at the early stage for refusing to close its border on time because they wanted their families and friends who are the carriers to come home first. At this time all we need is ways to tackle this menace, who ever can be of help regardless of your party affiliation should please provide it. After this problem we can go back to politics.
