I am happy about is appointment. He will solve all the problems Prof Dibu couldn't solve. Before i forget the Computer Based Test that is rampant today, he was the first person to test it with Unilorin Post UME 2008.

This is a credible appointment from PMB. Congrats to those that are yet to write Jamb, you'll surely enjoy him. Mind you, days of expo is no more.

Thanks to everybody who wrote about the good attributes of Prof. Oloyede. For the Wailers, well you can't please everyone!
Some things are clear:
He is not corrupt
He always strive to restore dignity to a society. If you merit it you get it!
Sanity prevails wherever he heads. He restored sanity to UNILORIN in all ramifications. We staff respected him as VC.
He knows more than in his field. He interviewed a prospective Professor of Engineering and the person was sweating like Christmas goat when he took him up on Nano Technology.
Everyone was marvelled by the degree of knowledge he had on almost anything, including Genetically Modified Food technology, space science and Assisted Reproduction.
His knowledge about computer programming, networking and computer engineering is fantastic.
He demonstrated all these at UNILORIN where he also introduced new courses like Biosystems Engineering, Optometry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Veterinary Medicine, Psychology, Social Work, Peace and Strategic Studies (Master, PhD), Aquaculture and Fisheries, etc.
Oloyede is the man for the job. He is not a religious bigot nor a tribal jingoist. He has one wife, a PhD holder and a Federal Director. He has four (4) children, two are Medical Doctors Latifat and Kehinde, one a lawyer (Taiye) and the last an accountant married to a Medical Doctor from Kano.
He has said it at several fora: "I have never bribed nor collected bribe" So, this is the type of person Nigeria needs now and forever. I also share this attribute of not being corrupt.

nicely said Alhaji, I think Biosystems was just a year old in Unilorin when we came in and till now whenever I mention to people I studied that cos,it always look like an alien terminology to them. The full name is AGRICULTURAL AND BIOSYSTEMS ENGINEERING SHORTEN TO AGRIC & BIOSYSTEMS. Abeg make una ask google for details.i think Unilorin and just recently landmark uni have started offering the course. I like the course pass anything.you learn to build mechanized farming tools and the rest,you can also study soil and water so in short,ITS A COMBINATION OF AGRIC,MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMBINED TOGETHER! Shey una get now?

you forgot to add that when we were in University,he used to hide inside school bus to listen to what people say about him,he expelled a lot of students for partying,he introduced dress code and later banned girls from wearing trousers,he once penalized a girl who was being escorted by a guy because he thought they must be bf/gf. The day he came to walk way,he was checking notice board at block 1 and I was on the pavement and quickly adjusted my trousers way upwards. Very strict man. People go fail jamb now no be small. When this man was our VC,people failed woefully,he sacked lecturers that were his seniors and those that even thought him for misconduct. I know this man very well,as strict as he was,his children were not among the best students,they were even far from it. His children were my seniors in secondary sch too and I can name them one by one.

heard he so much favoured the muslim candidates in unilorin. So many christians were denied admission. I personally know of one who scored 240 in lamb and 70 in postutme but wasn't admitted to a less competitive course but rather a muslim with a low score was admitted.

oga let's stop all these lies now, I was admitted to Unilorin, the first time ever I stepped in Ilorin in my life was after I gained admission,I didn't know anybody and nobody helped me for admission runs.my state was not even among the catchment areas. And I did studied Biosystems engineering!
