Ehrnie, what if the current valid passport just had one visa and stamp? Any need to attach the old passport pages?

Me I don't understand all d confusion abt passport upload oooo. D people wey u dey apply to say upload only ur VALID passport and d visas/markings in IT. If it was for d purpose of seeing all d places u ve gone don't u think they would ve specifically asked for all passports including expired ones? In any case, u ve filled ur travel history in ur eAPR. My thought though.

Hi guys, good afternoon,I hope to start assessing my credentials with WES,however I have an Ond and a Bsc in Accounting at the moment. But I hope to complete Ican this November with only a paper left.Supposing I assess with Ond and Bsc now I am not able to get my desired CRS,can I still assess my ican result subsequently if the result is released?I also want someone to tell me how I will make payment to WES in order to start the assessment

If u receive a positive assessment from WES for ur OND and BSC as two or more certificates, it will be pointless to reassess ur ICAN because it can also at best be two or more certificates. The thing dat can increase ur education points will be masters.

Update

Landed in Pearson. Passing through was the fastest in the world.... e good to get PR o. It is all self service. Scan your card, scan the landing card you filled, it issues you receipt. waiting to collect bags, noticed another guy (Niyi), saw that his bag was in pristine state. So i said how come you were not checked again at Cairo, cos i saw other people's eja kika fish that was binned. he said he spread it in various bags. I had 6 bags he had 7, so it is not by number of bags.
My bags came o, noticed one tyre don commot, went to complain, they said attachments are not insured such as tyres, zips. That if i needed that covered I would have purchased insurance separately for that.

Cheers

@ballerz...pele for ur fish oooo. But I want to clarify, are u saying d landing formalities for new PR is automated in Pearson

I don't understand. If he gets married, even without his wife writing IELTS and ECA, he still has 443, why will you then advise him not to marry now?

Guy, Pls get married, enter the pool get an ITA with 443 (443 is almost certain to get you an ITA) and process your application so you and your wife can start your new lives together in Canada without complications.

CRS will drop if he adds spouse before AOR. It's only after AOR dat u can add a spouse without it affecting ur CRS points.

NB: d date on d marriage certificate must show dat u actually got married after AOR oooo.

Hello good people
What do you think?
I sold a couple of my properties and I was able to raise way above the POF requirement.
I am looking at ITA sometimes in December.
I honestly can't wait for the 6months bank thingy to apply.
Does it make sense to just invest this money in treasury bills (6month tenure) immediately and use the certificate for POF even if the investment is not up to 2 months?
Your opinion counts

U received good advice Bro. My little addition is dat u just do 3months tenure and keep rolling it over until you get PPR so u don't get stuck if ur application is processed speedily as we ve seen in recent times. All d best.

Sorry for the disturbance, please I have another question, asking on behalf of my sister, she is a baker, I saw that it's under the NOC skill level B, Can she apply with that, being that she doesn't have a certificate for that, just the normal apprenticeship certificate given to her by her teacher, she also has a B.Sc in Sociology but no work experience with that, does she stand a chance?

If it's skill level B, then it qualifies. Minimum of 1 year work experience in dat skill is Wat is required for express entry. 3yrs gives maximum points. Ur work experience doesn't ve to align with your education for express-entry. Hope this helps.

Thanks, @perks The authority letter idea is great. So I will then call DHL and ask them to pick up for me? They will likely charge for that. So won't it be the same as including a prepaid return? Just asking for clarification please.

When u receive ur passport pick up mail notification, print it and add ur letter authorising DHL to pick d passport on ur behalf. Take dem to the DHL office and pay the fees (abt 20k or so). DHL picks up passport and deliver to u.

What's was ur AOR date?

Hello everyone. I need your help please.

I just received my PPR, passport request, and they recommend I send via VFS Global. They also said I should use DHL if sending other documents along with the passport. So I want to send via DHL or UPS, but they never included a mailing address in the email.

Am I sending to the Canadian High Commission in Lagos, Abuja, or Accra
Also, who can I address the envelope to (for eg. "Attn: Immigration Officer"wink?
Also can anyone confirm if DHL or UPS do this prepaid return service between Nigeria and Ghana (in case I'm sending there).

Any help is appreciated, guys. Cheers.

Congrats on d PPR. Pls share ur timeline.

Meanwhile ur passport should be sent to Accra.
Canadian High Commission
42, independence avenue
Accra.

Use DHL for ur own good. Don't worry abt prepaid return. When ur passport is stamped and ready they will notify you. Just print d mail, add authority letter and take to the DHL office, pay the courier fee and DHL will pick ur passport from Accra and deliver to u here in naija.

There's no harm in trying. Someone here has gotten upgrade in those parts (listening n reading) thought to be impossible to get upgraded for.

NB.: remarking takes abt 8-10weeks, so u may consider retaking d test while remark is ongoing as insurance.

Gurus in the house please for POF, I am planning to use Treasury bills.

Asides the treasury bills certificate, do I need to get a letter from my bank with which I purchased the treasury bills?

PS: I currently have like 3 treasury bill transactions, hence 3 certificates.

Which other letter are u looking for again? cheesy

Ur tbill certificates are sufficient provided the amount covers ur POF requirement.

Hello my people.

I am a bit confused about something. I am still in the ECA/IELTS stage. my question is about the travel history / PCC. I travelled to UK for holidays as a child and I am sure the cumulative is more than 6months. But after 18years, cumulative of 3months,not at a stretch. Do I need PCC from UK? I have 4 old passports in my maiden name, will I need to upload all data page and stamped pages of everything when the time comes?

First, u only need PCC if u stay in a country for a cumulative period of six months after the age of 18.

Secondly, u do not need to upload ur old passports. Just upload the current one and all visas and stamps thereon.

It's not IRCC that will do the conversion rate for our local banks. The N230 was once the prevailing rate when IRCC hosted that information.

As at today, the bank will slam you from N287 to some figures above N300 (atleast GTB charges way above N300 to 1 CAD using your naira MasterCard).

The prevailing rate is bank dependent....

I know the banking rate is higher. Its actually for POF as talking about.

I don't think you should worry too much about the ECA; that can be explained in your PR application. In my opinion, a properly worded letter of explanation and/or affidavit should take care of the above concerns. Please let others also weigh in on this....

cc: perks

U r correct @40manlappy. U dont even need to write any LOE. Everybody has a right to change their name at anytime (even before marriage).

As regards ur marriage certificate from local government, I have read here some peeps have used it without any issue. Some have even used only church certificate. So i doubt dat will be an issue.

Guys, I was playing around the IRCC site and came across the attached. It seems the exchange rate used by IRCC is 1CAD=N230 as against whats on xe.com and oanda.com.

NB. Its only my thought oooo.

Good evening all...
please is it compulsory to submit the ECA Report of one's spouse if points are to be obtained from spouse Educational qualification in the CRS grid?
Many thanks as always

It's is advisable to upload it along with his educational documents. If u ve submitted already without it (which am suspecting u ve) u can raise CSE to add it if dat will make u sleep well at night. smiley
