Hi all,

I am new here. I came here through the link posted by @osemigho on the Canadian Student Visa thread based on my case. I need ur opinion if I truly qualify for and express entry or any form of entry into canada. I have a BSc in International Law and Diplomacy from Nigeria, LLB from the UK and An LLM from the UK as well.I just recently graduated this year and do not have a professional working experience. I am not called to bar in any country and I have not done NYSC.

What do you think house? Plsssssssssssss I need your opinions.

Thank you for ur time in advance.

Regards.

To be able to apply for permanent residence under d express entry program, u need a minimum of 1 year work experience in jobs classified under NOC 0, A or B. So based on d information u provided, u do not qualify. However, u can use d student option.

Thank you for your response

But I just checked now, there is no address in the footnote area of the mail I received.

Is it just a mail or there's an attachment?

Good day guys your PM is back grin grin
Abeg quick question, i've been unable to start this ee thing myself cos of some reasons so i employed the services of an agent(pls don't come for my head i know i can do it myself) to cut the long story short, i have not paid him and he is nowhere to be found,i can't even reach him. I want to take charge of my application now. Plz can a create a profile myself as i don't know maybe he has created one.Would there be any implication whatsoever if he has created one for me before now?

Wat documents did you provide him with? Did u provide him with an email address to use? I believe u can always create a new profile using a different email address, provided an eAPR has not been submitted with the previous one. Feel free to contact me if u need further guidance.

I got my ECA email from them last week Monday after 22 business days of receiving the second email of receipt of transcripts. So you should be counting business days, not just days. But you should get it this week, if today is the 30th day.

Wow!!! I absolutely did notice the "business days". Chaiii!!! Tnx for the update. If waiting for ECA can be like dis, I wonder how waiting for PPR will be ooo cheesy

Thanks. Please can i apply without sending my statement of result/passport while i work on getting it?

Don't put the cat before the horse. Apply and make payment for your ECA first. Thereafter complete the application form. Scan and fax the signed application form and other docs (degree, passport data page or driving license, checklist) to IQAS fax number (there are lots of free online fax services just google). Complete your portion of the transcript request form and send to your contact to give them in school to complete their portion and add to the transcript package before sending to IQAS. CHIKENA!!!

Arrived Winnipeg yesterday with my family. All glory to God.

Royal Air Maroc was great. Was really impressed. to think I wanted to go for more expensive airline because of the bad reviews I read about them.

Canada is now mine to dominate and excel in.

Congrats. Can you share more information on your landing experience at the airport etc

Hello Peeps,

See how funny time is, it just flies!

More than a year ago I post the quote below.

I have landed in Canada for six (6) weeks now and I have worked for three (3) weeks already.

Just to encourage you all to be steadfast and be patient, this journey is not a raffle it's a process.

Ask question and read, read and read information about everything and everyday living.

I wish everyone best of life, and from time to time I will offer my help here based on my experience.

Happy Sunday!

Fantastic!!! Congrats on safe landing @superchi. If u don't mind pls share ur landing experience i.e airport clearance, housing, job hunting etc. U can do dat here and on dis thread:

Hi guys. I just entered the EE pool with a score of 433. I have some questions boggling me which i require help with and any opinions will be welcome and appreciated. I don't know if i'm posting this in an appropriate thread so if i'm not, my apologies please.

My questions are as follows:

1. I interviewed at US embassy in 2012 for a (DV) diversity visa lottery as a beneficiary to a principal applicant. Even though i wasn't asked any questions, i ran my bio-metrics. The principal applicant was found ineligible on the grounds of not meeting minimum education or labor requirements. When filling the schedule A form, must i answer YES to the question of having been denied a visa to another country before?

2. My second question is regarding previous marriages. As the US consular office has my records of being a beneficiary to a visa applicant, i have to state that i have a previous marriage in form IMM0008DEPENU. I entered the EE pool with a different spouse which raises my question. Must i have marriage annulment or divorce papers for the previous relationship?

I ask because i read that the Canadian laws frown upon polygamy and bigamy.

Dis ur case is unique. Am going to try and answer to d best of my abilities.

1. I think u need to answer YES. Then add a succinct letter of explanation detailing the circumstances.

2. Indeed u need divorce papers.

I'd also done the maths and totally agree with you. Converting it will be better in the short run. However, we're reluctant to change our POF to Naira because of Naira's volatility. We're concerned that if Naira crashes again, we'll be left with a whole less than we'd be making if we leave it in dollars now. Besides, we'll ultimately change all our money to dollars if and when we get PPR being that Naira can't be assessed outside the shores of Nigeria.

We'll think about it critically again and decide whether or not to change it. Thanks for your suggestion and analysis.

U don't need to change ur USD to Naira. Ur USD will be converted directly to CAD. Same with ur Naira.

Hello everyone, please does anyone have an answer to my query? I need to know if I can use Pensions as balance for our PoF.

No ITA yet but we are gathering required document in preparation for ITA.

We are a family of 4 and have gathered pretty much everything but Proof of funds is still a little issue. We have about 80% of the required funds (T.bills and domiciliary account) but we are concerned about the balance 20%. Can we use our pensions' accounts to make up the balance? 25% of our pensions is more than what we actually need to make up the balance.

Thanks for your anticipated responses.

Yes you can use d 25% of ur pensions account if it covers d balance. It's been stated here before. Check for @Boss13's attachment from CIC.

I did more of listening practice on YouTube. For all others it was mainly ieltsliz.com and ielts buddy.com.

Read explanations on each test module so u understand Wat to look out for.

Also, make use of the free British council materials u get access to wen u register for d test. Listen to videos of the ielts examiners explaining d test. I found it useful.

For d exam, write ur answers in Capital letters. Warning: dis is for Listening & Reading ONLY

All d best

Thank you very much for your prompt response. Does She need to disclose it while making an application right away or should she declare it during her medical assessment. I believe medical assessment is done only once she receive Invitation to Apply? Please advise

I believe u r d person dat asked abt hepatitis B. She will declare it during her medical assessment. Additionally, if she has been treating it, I will advise she gets a medical report from the hospital where she is currently receiving treatment and also do a test to check dat her viral load is low before doing CIC medical.
