SportsRe: You Are Offending The Shirt - Maradona Slams Argentina After Beaten By Colombia by PerseDew(f): 1:51pm On Jun 17, 2019
Abogwara:
Argentina does not have African history or ancestory but rather Europe. Brazil has African, Indians and Europeans in the mix.
Argentina does have africans in their history as a result of slave trade to south america. There are 2 major factors that led to their almost non existent population at present.
1.) The war with Paraguay: Mostly africans were sent to the frontlines.
2.) Yellow fever and cholera: The black argentines were segregated from those of european decent. They lacked health care, thus many died from diseases like yellow fever and Cholera.
Many that survived, ran to Brazil. All during 1868-1874.

TravelRe: Skaters: The New Menace On Roads In Lagos (PHOTOS) by PerseDew(f): 3:33pm On Apr 25, 2019
The funny thing is they are 100% of not getting treated in Germany (like the biker son of our president) and about 70% or 80% sure of not getting immediate treatment in their locality, if an accident occurs.

It is just common sense such things like skating with shoes or a board should be done in special courts/grounds or residential areas with very good roads and make they are on the pedestrain lanes while at it.

Kudos! Just one thing. Do try to wear the appropriate shoes whenever you are on such trips.

The suit is off yes but the funny thing here is, lawyers in Nigeria still wear gowns and wigs.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Lagos Chinese Restaurant Responds To Accusations Of Racism by PerseDew(f): 8:16pm On Mar 19, 2019

biko let him be. He's earnin his daily bread dere.
Yes, he earns his daily bread there. But he could have promised to look into the matter instead, apologise and then let in Nigerians cos there is simply no justification for their refusal. No one is expecting him to insult the Chinese or even start shouting racism. He definitely didn't have to go on repeating and defending those same disgraceful words that are even untrue.

Except of course he was ordered to do so, which makes the place suspicious.

Mr. Niyi Adegbite is a fine example of an Uncle Tom.
CelebritiesRe: Adesua Etomi Reacts To Her Vogue Magazine Cover Controversy by PerseDew(f):
Memphitz537:
My attention was particularly drawn to the lady that featured prominently in the said Vogue magazine cover. Her name is Léa Seydoux. She's a French model and actress. Her sojourn into Nollywood began when she played a one scene act only in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds in 2009. She then played another prominent role in Mission Impossible 4(Ghost Protocol) in 2011 and Her most recent role which put her on the Hollywood map was her being the Bond girl in the recent James Bond franchise "Spectre".......
Now,where am I driving at with this? Our very own Adesua's achievements CANNOT be compared to any of the models used on the cover of this magazine because she hasn't achieved anything significant in her career. Truth be told,Adesua CAN'T act. She just has a pretty face and that's where it ends.
Nothing more.
You say she can't act (to me is is moderate) but that is the case with so many A list actors local and International. Still, they grace covers of mags and win oscars. At least I have watched parts of the wedding party, but that 007 Spectre is just impossible to watch with Daniel Craig. Mind you I have watched almost all of 007.

Concerning the post, she is not blind..she knows her skin tone was darkened and her position in the pic looks some type of way. She most likely did not put her foot down cos it is Vogue.
CelebritiesRe: "I Have Fallen, I Will Rise Again" - Etinosa Idemudia by PerseDew(f): 2:47pm On Mar 19, 2019
I actually thought she was remorseful after the apology. Oh well, there are different paths for everyone.
CelebritiesRe: "I Made A Mistake" - Etinosa Reacts To Going Nude On MC Galaxy's IG Live Video by PerseDew(f): 12:22am On Mar 17, 2019
I just hope she sorts out the issues she has within.

The funny thing is the apology of the so called "prostitute", "olosho" or any other degrading name she has been called by many, sounds like she is indeed remorseful unlike the apologies/confession from those pastors i.e. the one that was living with a girl he picked up in front of a club and the one has kids outside marriage.
Another funny thing is some people still hold these pastors in high esteem but feel this lady should be crucified. I am not suprised, the story of Judah and his daughter in law Tamar in Genesis 38, shows such hypocrisy did not start today.
EducationRe: Why Living In Hostel Is Best For Female Students In Nigerian Universities by PerseDew(f): 11:54pm On Feb 26, 2019
I stayed in the hostel as a fresher and it was definitely not the case. Electricity was only sure from 7pm till 10 or 12pm. This depends on if the school generator has been repaired or not and if there was diesel. We certainly did not have good facilities, the rooms were planned yes, but were overcrowded. There were ladies that were sleeping outside constantly (freshers included) because of runs or just to camp in their boy friend's place only to be seen when they wanted to collect something from their room and go back to base.

There was nothing like quick response from the school management instead sometimes SUG officials or those ones contesting for a post fixed some minor things. As for spirituality, if you mean just going to church every sunday, then you are correct but going to church every sunday or every other day plus sunday does not mean the person is spiritual. About the reading culture that is most likely true. I also noticed the girls that lodged in their boyfriends place came back just because of the reading environment and went back after. But the reading environment also means nothing to me because although I was influenced by the environment it doesn't mean my grades were better. My grades improved greatly in my third till fifth semester (off camp) after a friend taught me how to read effectively. The only thing I liked about the hostel then were my roommates in my first year, majority of them were cool.

Finally, you are right most men tend to want to settle with ladies that stayed in the hostel and they also prefer to hear a girl is still in the university because it makes her appear somewhat younger. All I will say is they should continue.
