[quote author=Rone16 post=47013299]You guys be putting words in someone's mouth..From what she said,I can't see where she said there is no difference between her and Beyoncé.Youre the one that said so..She said apart from talent, opportunity differentiates we afrobeat artists from the western artists and she's right.[/quote But what else willl differentiate 2 artist? Those are d major factors my dear. Most especially talent. I'm thinking now, if yemi had to perform on same stage and maybe she performed ferrari and Beyonce performed say love drought both from their recent albums, who do you think will woo d crowd better? Now a third factor will be your material and the crowd you perform the message your music passes. But yemi is a wonderful artiste still |

AsmauDanjuma: You people romanticize everything. The idea behind the penitentiary system is to reform the individual, so what sense is there in denying her the opportunity to become a model citizen? Having said that, would you advise your brother to go to jail for his girlfriend? #WORD |

Politics › Re: Region That Inspired Me, Hate Them Love Them They Keep Moving Forward by pete26(m): 8:00pm On May 16, 2016 |
@OP I must say that your write up is good and quite insightful but you extensively talked about one nigeria and then went further to focus on the easteners alone that might create a bit of a controversy. As u can see from some of the comments some are already being tribalistic, which is the reason I think you either should have focused on the east from the beginning and tell us about your experience there or also highlight points concerning other parts of the country and how we can work together as a nation. Nice job tho. |

1. you should remember that there are always three sides to the story. ur sisters, ur in law and the truth. till u know the three sides dont take any rash action.
2. ensure you act from the stand of a peace maker. not a defender of the universe. don't make the matters worse for ur sister. if the guy drives her out of the house due to ur confrontation, don't be surprised people will blame you. rather look for people he respects to talk to him wen he is sober. and u guys should pray for him. u can't confront spiritual foolishness with physical solutions. Wise approach I must say. Sometimes when I approach matters from a peaceful angle It initially seems like I'm weak nd should be more voracious but d end results' always POSITIVE. @OP approach ur in-law and confront him about it first peacefully, then you know d next step to take. She's your sister and also his wife. Besides if you u beat him up nd he starts ignoring ur sis cos of ur. Actions will u also beat him again? Confront him first |

I'm not an English Teacher. But I think that's an Oxymoron. It's contradicting. You "still" wash it and yet you stopped washing it 6 years ago.
But we get the point though. lol....nice observation |

If it one of the zombie they will mention his name there by giving him the exhibit to present in court. Proud to be a member of common sense. Like if u are, That automatically makes him a coward. Kachisbarbie: Some ladies expect guys to know when they are in the mood to be wooed, if they are his level or not... like he is psychic _ yet they can't do same. Guys get turned down everyday, and they are not dead.
You don't go about approaching every random guy, those signs you expect a young man to watch out for, you should be smart enough to watch out for same signs.
Observing a guy closely (especially when you guys have established a reasonable degree of familiarity), you would notice if he is into you but has issues expressing himself probably for fear of being turned down too. That's the time to strike...
Right there. U nailed it |

Pls wot cgpa must 2 attain 2b eligible for Msc??... Or d so calld professional courses said. To be on the safe side just get second class upper (3.5 and above) cos most top schools require that, or else u'll have to do a PGD first. Just try and secure a 2:1. Goodluck |
Career › Re: Professional Exams Vs Masters Which Is Better? by pete26(m): 10:14pm On Dec 25, 2015 |
saxywale: Your post is confusing. A graduate can never be a roughneck, atleast in developed countries like the US, Canada, Norway or scotland e.t.c He would enter the control room or supervisory position straight. Or be in an office controlling those on the field with occasional field visits. The grad with MSc has an opportunity to rise to management. But the guy with high school diploma and all his certificates would spend all his career on the field drilling, a very tough job with no career advancement.
A job roles of a driller is different to than of a drilling engineer. Highest position a driller can attain: Tool pusher; Highest position a drilling engineer can attain: CEO
Just as you can't compare someone with a Masters in corrosion/materials engineering to a NDT technician(even on the highest level+plenty certificates). I agree with U. Which school and in which country will u advice for a masters degree in petroleum engineering. |
Career › Re: Professional Exams Vs Masters Which Is Better? by pete26(m): 4:35pm On Dec 25, 2015 |
NavierStokes: A masters degree is your best bet in oil and gas at the moment. Gone are the days from the "great crew change" when there was a large knowledge gap and companies were pushing people up the ladder to full up top positions. For a "millenial" an advanced degree would better position you for those "sterling" positions otherwise inaccessible. Thanks bro |
