They are registered as support organisations Why do you think these institutions dont pay tax Who is a friend to a criminal in most cases, who is a neighbour to a crimical.... it is a fellow "criminal". Many of these guys don't even have families. What do you want neighbours to do biko??

just as I expected, The mentality of a typical Nigerian. You know nothing about psychology and human behaviour. This is something that has to do with the mind. These are people whose mind are deformed, what you see as wrong is norm to them. Why are there rehabilitation centres and juvenile homes, why are there social clubs, why are there places where people come to discuss issue that bother their life? In saner environments, do you think prisons are just where you go serve punishments??

My dear, i do get the angle you re driving from, but i still insist that the blames should not be entirely put on the institutions. Neighbours and friends can also step in into situations like this... selah!

Here is another reason for Nigerian senators to be angry with Hameed Ali, a retired colonel, heading the Nigerian Customs Service as Comptroller-General.

The Compliance Task Force that Ali set up has just impounded 223 vehicles, 13 of which belong to a senator in Kano state.

The Task Force Zonal Commander, Mr Bala Dole, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Monday.

He said the vehicles, belonging to the unidentified senator were; 12 new Toyota Hilux and one Land Cruiser Jeep.

Dole, who declined to name the said Senator, said the 13 vehicles were trailed from Maigatari in Jigawa, following an intelligence report, indicating they were smuggled into Nigeria via land borders.

“Based on the intelligence report, the vehicles were 30 in number but we were able to trail 13 of them 12 of which were hidden in the senator’s compound.

“We sealed the house and retrieved the vehicles and they are now in our custody,” Dole said.

The identity of the senator will remain a guessing game for now.

There are three senators representing Kano State.

They are Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kano central; Barau Jibrin, Kano North and Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, Kano South. All are representing the All Progressives Congress.

The task force also said that it seized other items, including foodstuff worth N269.5 million in Kano and Jigawa states within eight months.

The items included 9,757 bags of rice, 2,916 of foreign supergetti, 2,770 cartons of foreign vegetable oil and 999 cartons of macaroni.

He said others were; 889 veils of second hand clothes, 50 used school bags, 110 cartons of new foreign shoes, 956 bags of mosquito coil and six fairly used cars.

“The total value of the seizure made by the task force since it was established in July 2016, excluding the 13 Senator’s vehicles, is N269.5 million.

“We are yet to determine the cost of the 13 vehicles belonging to the Senator“.

you contradict yourself. Teach everywhere?! Ask yourself how many criminals check on NL. Only an appreciable number of sane youths ar on NL and even when these criminals visit NL. Why would they navigate to the religion section when it's not of interest in the first place. I am talking re-orientation, camp meetings where these guys can learn something different, see their potentials and harness their skills.

re-orientation camp meetings?? u see the problem we have here... we always look outward to other people as our problems... we dont like looking within...do you need publicity to know that killing of another life is terrible?? do u need to be re-oriented about stealing??

are they giving the advice? What messages are they preaching? That's what you should ask yourself. Many preach prosperity and all the average youth wants to do is make money fast. For me, I don't know about you, only a few of this institutions are upto this task. If you le you think can salvage the situation?? Government??

the best form of advice you can get is the one that you give yourself... if you do not hear the preachings of the NGO and other Religious institutions... then let me bust your bubbles... the y teach everywhere...even on this Nairaland platform...if you doubt it, go to the religious sector of this platform... People have refused the message...have made up their mind to remain on their paths...
