Christianity Etc › Evangelist Helen Ukpabio Attack Prophet T.B JOSHUA by petokey(op): 2:05pm On Sep 11, 2012
The the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua has really faced some noisy controversies this period, butwhile one thinks everything was subsiding, another one has cropped up.
The founder of the Calabar-based Liberty Gospel Ministries, Evangelist Helen Ukpabio, has accused ProphetJoshua of being a fake miracleworker.
In a latest interview with a soft sell magazine, Evangelist Ukpabio was quoted as sayingthe Prophet was made wealthyby demons and warned peoplenot to take his predictions seriously.
The question is: to what end is this latest attack on TB Joshua by Evangelist Ukpabio? Is it right for religious leaders to leave the mandate of soul-winning to focus on personal difference?

Politics › Re: JTF Destroys Illegal Refineries In Edo, But Why? by petokey(op): 7:21pm On Sep 06, 2012
kokosheen: Dude, if you happen to see the carnage caused by oil spill in the creeks due to these "refineries", you'll weep for unborn generations in the Niger Delta.

Yes, these guys have shown ingenuity in being able to build such crude plants but can't they take a cue from Aba boys that now have factories that deliver (some) materials that people purposely buy?

Large areas from Ondo - Delta - Rivers to Bayelsa state now show brown land profile and oil sheen on top of the water in the creeks and rivers (I have seen this myself - several times).

Please, if destroying these refineries is the only thing the government can do for now, they should carry on and stop these boys from destroying what's left of the region's fauna and vegetation.
my guy, u are getting me wrong, what i meant was that, the criminals should be caught and stop but their handwork should not be destroyed, because the goverment can borrow from the local technology to assist the country's menace on refining our crude oil. Or what do u think.?
Politics › JTF Destroys Illegal Refineries In Edo, But Why? by petokey(op): 7:13am On Sep 06, 2012
Operation Thunderstorm, a Joint Task Force, (JTF) on Tuesday said it had destroyed an illegal oil refinery in Igbelebu, Ovia South-West Local Government Area of Edo.

The Commander of JTF in Edo, Lt.- Col. Moruf Adegbenru, while confirming the destruction of the refinery to newsmen in Benin, said the operation was carried out to rid the society of oil thieves.

He said the JTF discovered the illegal refinery site on a creek in the boundary village between Edo and Ondo State with many gallons filled with diesel, machines and other tools.

He said that the operators had storage facilities littered all over the place.

The commander said that no arrest was made as the operators of the illegal refinery fled on sighting the men of the JTF.

He said ``the operation was in line with the Federal Government’s effort to ensure that the Niger Delta region is free of oil thieves thereby promoting the economy of the nation.”

The commander gave the assurance that the JTF would ensure that all illegal refineries were discovered and destroyed in the interest of the people.

He, however, appealed to members of the community and the entire state to always volunteer information that could assist the JTF in its operations. (NAN)

To me this JTF are not trying. I read this story and i became angry with them.

Am not trying to justify what the criminals are doing but the governments are talking of building new refineries so that they can stop importing refined product. The JTF are not suppose to destroy those illegal refineries, they should be developed and turn it into a legal refinery that will help our economy there by promoting our technology. Nigerians are talented, don't be suprise if they want to build a new refinery, they will import foreign contrators. They will even spend a lot of money, when we have refinery builders in Nigeria. What we are looking for in sokoto is in our shokoto. My dear nairalanders, what do u think?
