Hello house, I need your advise. I paid for IELTS using a friend's First Bank mobile app. I filled in all my details on the remark before confirming the payment.
After this I sent a mail to British Council with the receipt of the transfer. Since then, I didn't get any acknowledgement mail neither was my payment confirmed.
A friend linked me up with a contact that works with British Council who I reported the case to, and he said they.have been having issues with people who paid with other people's account, that the remark details are not reflecting on their account. He promised to help see what he can do about this on Monday.
Yesterday I got a mail from British Council saying I have 24 hours to make my payment, failure to pay will make them cancel my registration.

Please has anyone here experienced same and how was this resolved?

You can send them a message on facebook, I got mine resolved few minutes after I sent them a message, I even got the cancellation mail in my case, and it was resolved.

What of us that are living far from Lagos? How do we resolve our own? My speaking test date has not been sent to me yet. Imagine my apprehension now. I contacted one of their staff who promised to help but nothing has come up till now. Please can anyone help out.

Try to contact them on facebook, the handler responds on time.

Congrats to all those who passed their ielts, didn't make it this time, I guess I put too much pressure on myself to pass it once, next time I will be more relaxed.

No, I am not in Lagos, I have sent an email to that address, got the automated response too, let's wait until tomorrow and see.

I have called all the British Council offices - Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano and Abuja. No luck. Kano rang once then switched off. I received a reminder email to pay up within 24 hours this morning. It will be one week tomorrow I made the payment. It is so annoying!

Same here, paid on Thursday too, just got the reminder email, I want call my bank now to cancel the transaction, if possible.

I just tried it with my zenith bank account and it worked, was using first bank before, thank you.

Which bank list exactly? After generating the number, you should enter it into your bank portal and then select "Standard Chartered".

Please these are the banks that come up after entering the generated number, perhaps I am not generating the right number, but I followed all instructions, I am confused.

That's the problem I am having, I can't find "standard chartered bank", after entering the generated number, all I see is citi bank, sterling bank, and some other ones.

I have a little bit of an issue, I am trying to pay for ielts, after using the generated account number, I can't seem to find standard chartered bank on the bank list, I don't know what I am doing wrong, please help!

Yes, you need to include bank reference letter. Whether it will show your balance or not depends on your bamk and type of account you operate. But include the letter in whatever form your bank gives you.

The purpose of gift deed and reference letter is different, so don't mix them up. While the deed is providing evidence of source of fund/large infow, the letter is showing you have the required funds and your account information.

Yes, you can fix and use fixed deposit certificate.
If you decide not to fix the money and your bank doesnt give you a letter in CIC format, accept whatever letter they give and include 6months statement of account.

Do you mean when using the FD certificate, bank reference letter isn't needed?
