Can I ask you a simple question Do you deal with dogs if yes. You will understand that if a dog is given a name it can just have that name or it gets a tag. Even in USA the man will be prosecuted and in any country. One more thing, the man in question you are supporting hid the dog when they came to arrest him do you know why?.. Because he knew what he did and he was guilty. Please do me a favour, Take your time and go through the story again. president buhari had nothing to do with this, the man's neighbor who reported to the police his father's name is Alhaji buhari. Also please read what their lawyer said. You will come to a certain conclusion that the man had an alterior motive also I believe he had issues with his fellow tenant freecocoa: He took the pains to because it is his fundamental human right.
He shouldn't even be in that court to start with, let alone trying to prove his innocence. |

Please I need to ask you a simple question. First this picture recently showed up on the internet after this guy story came up, n nothing is impossible with the computer(photoshopping). In as much as it is stupid. This does not have to do with the president (PMB). Please always try to read a story before you comment. The man's neighbor who is an Hausa, His father's name is Alhaji Buhari and he was the same person who reported the case. So I think with this facts I have labeled you should see reasons why the defendant is guilty and ignorant marshborn: The simple fact remains that he didn't break any law. This rubbish can't happen in any other administration. Was this man arrested? |

That's y I said the man himself was ignorant. Why take the pain in getting a paint and writing "BUHARI" on both sides of the dogs body .. Now most people would say you are taunting them depending on the neighborhood... Also if the man did not fear that he has done a wrong thing y did he not make the dog available and say I have nothing to hide here is the dog... Think about it freecocoa: [sub][/sub]if anything does happen, say like a fight is started over such trivial issue, it is because the people involved are ignorant/crazy, not because they were provoked as something like this, isn't supposed to provoke any sane person. |

If you read my statement correctly you would see that I said giving the dog a name was not the issue. Inscribing the name on both sides are. It is funny how you find it hard to assimilate what I am saying. Do you know what it means to inscribe. Get a paint and write BUHARI on the right and left side of the dog and walk around it in an Hausa setting. Most Hausa's with minial jobs are not so educated. What do you think will happen??. I expect much better from you marshborn: Just read it and it's states that "don't name your dog after any sitting president, because he is the only one in this world with that name". Buhari can as well start putting on military uniform, because this is not normal in any democratic setting. |

Kabrud : I really appreciate that you have given your opinion. I am a Christian and I don't support wrong. Irrespective of your opinion I believe you are wrong in some aspects. My few questions are : Did Mohammed authorize death for anyone who insults him. I believe the answer is no. My religion does not teach me so. If Jesus is insulted I will never react, with time the person will get tired and with your character that person can change regardless of this I do not support the insults to Mohammed. Now I believe you remembered a woman who was killed in the north. If you followed the story you will see she complained to the landlord that each time a certain Muslim man wants to pray he comes to the front of her shop and she does not like it. Now the very faithful day she was killed the same man came to front of her shop to pray and that is what led to her death because it was in the north. I think that one of the major problem in the north is illiteracy. I believe you will agree with me on that. My religion teaches me to accept and love my fellow human not kill. People who throw insults at religions do that individually and it's their opinion. I do not see it as a religious affair. Just so you know during my time at school I stayed with my best friend and he was a Muslim for 4years and we never had any religion issues, most times I was asked how I coped with him staying together and how do we manage praying together. I just laugh and say that's not a problem. I go to the mosque to sit and wait for him sometime and he does the same with waiting for me at church sometimes. So I believe you should correct your sayings. It would be okay to say "some individuals who term themselves Christians next time. Meanwhile I do not want to bring out the Bokoharam issues/attacking of churches or killing of Christians. I believe that had to do with an individual mindset which has been passed on. God bless you kabrud: These christians are always out looking for problem with the muslims. May be that one thinks he is on nairaland. For God's sake, what is the meaning of this rubbish? U will see them insulting muslims everywhere for no reason only to turn around and start forming the victim. After creating the storm, they will be asking why the rain. Has any muslim ever insulted Jesus Christ? This thing is getting too much. And they know very well that a muslim will never take that from u except if u hide behind the laptop to do that. We shall see the end of this problem they looking for upandan. |

Now I want to ask everyone on Nairaland a question:
On the issue of giving dog a name.
1. What would happen to an Hausa man who give his dog (with respect ) to the late Ojukwu, Ojukwu and then inscribes the name on both sides of the body and walk around Alaba market with it not to even talk of Aba market. Or let's say Nnamdi Kanu.
2. Which Ibo man would write Mohammed on his dog body after given its name and walk by anywhere in the north.
Now I think people see there is definitely no sense in this man's choice of behaviour. He is an ignoramus and I will tell him to his face if I meet him. I repeat the only reason I plead on his behalf is because of his family. |

Oga shut up. It is people like you who want a better Nigeria but does not want to be neutral or say the truth. I am from south south I will not cover wrong. The problem is not giving the dog a name called Buhari. If you really don't know what the problem is then just don't comment. Meanwhile I have got few questions for you. 1. I understand that OBJ named a gorrila patience but he never inscribed it on the body. 2. Another lady named her dog lai Mohammed she did not inscribe it on the body. 3. Which dog in your area have you seen that has its name inscribed bodly on both sides of the body. Answer is None. Now why will a grown man who lives in an Hausa neighbourhood or settings. Knowing fully well that no owner of dogs inscribe their name bodly on the dogs. No one does that. Now if he does not have an alterior motive he would not write the name on both sides of the Dog bodly and walk around. I only pity the wife and the kids and that's the only reason I am pleading for leniency on behalf of this ignoramus being who does not think before acting. I am a Nigerian. I do not support Evil/Wrongdoings I am who I am. If you think I am wrong you can give me reasons why I am not because your moniker shows biafraeva biafraeva: WHY IS IT ONLY IN NIGERIA PPLE ALWAYS TALK OF VIOLENCE SMALL THING DAT IS NOT UP TO ANYTHING SOME ONE WILL BE CALLING FOR VIOLENCE .THE GUY DID WRONG FOR CALLING A SITTING PRESIDENT A DOG .BUT THE PRESIDENT SHOULD THINK IF HE IS DOING WELL THE MAKES HIS CITIZEN NAME HIS DOG AFTER HIM. |

Is there a way you can be contacted at I plan to run a snail farm.. I will need an e-book or your advice.. Thanks in advance lordhugo: ‘Snail experts’ who tell you to construct a pen, buy snails from their own farms , feed them with paw-paw leaves or a ‘super formulated feed’ , allow each parent snail lay anywhere from 20-400 eggs 5-6 times a year, achieve 100% hatch-ability so you can have 1,000,000 baby snails (one million) snails worth N200,000,000 (one million dollars) in an 12 additional months is simply not being practical.
These conditions can only be met in a scientific laboratory with huge funds allocated. Guess what? You do not have a lab neither do you have money to waste. (because such a venture if ever done will be for scientific ends and definitely not for personal profits).
The best you can do is to maximize your profits using my simple methods of cheap and practical secrets which coupled with best practices and application of good quality control will reward you more often than not. These are ‘little secrets’ which will give you ‘big results’.
I have compiled it in a fun way from A-Z and it will hopefully raise up more owners of profitable snaileries in Nigeria , Africa and the world at large.
SO, lets read A,B, C - the snail way!
Achatina is a genus of medium-sized to very large, air-breathing, tropical land snails, terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusks in the family Achatinidae. There are some 200 species of Achatinidae in Sub-Saharan Africa. Some species are kept as terrarium (just a fancy name for an aquarium without water ; LOL) animals due to their size and colourful shells. For the purposes of snail farming however, we will concern ourselves with only the three species of that genus that is commercial , marketable and of course profitable. They are Achatina achatina Linnaeus, Achatina marginata and their younger brother – Achatina Fulica.
Breeder snails are the patriarchs and matriarchs (even though snails are hermaphrodites) of your prospective snail farm. Snails are “highly reproductive”! . these breeders are 12-24 months old snails who possesses the required qualities needed to start, sustain and “successfulize” your snail venture. Logical characteristics include shell health, age, species, source location, stress factors present in capturing and transporting as well as your own size of farm (estimated), location of farm and type of housing to implement. I always suggest sourcing mature adult snails from deep in the forests rather than farms. Farms are a good way but not really the best because the forest snails have had a natural life and are usually more hardy. Snails from farms have had too much contact from ‘snail slime’ from the snail trails of other snails in the farm and this significantly reduces their fertility and overall immunity to diseases. (Snails from farms are spoilt kids.Check out ‘Density Matters‘) . The only place you shouldn’t buy snails though are your city markets. Live snails from such markets are usually stressed and are best for eating. Yummy!
Calcium is the single most important factor in the feeding of any snail venture. Why? Simple. Low calcium intake will slow the growth rate and cause the shells to be thinner. Calcium may be set out in a feeding dish or trough so the snails can eat it at will. Food is only one calcium source. Snails may eat paint or attack walls of buildings seeking calcium, and they also will eat dirt. I use two cheap calcium sources in all my farms. One from the green outer leaves of cabbage (you do not pay for this. It is freely available in any fruit/vegetable market in Nigeria). They will even beg you to help them carry the ‘dirty’!
“An experiment was carried out to assess the growth performance of African Giant Land Snail Achatina achatina fed with three natural feedstuff; pawpaw fruit, pawpaw leaves and cabbage leaves. A total of 24 growing snails of approximately one year old were used for the study. These were randomly divided into six groups and then allotted into the three experimental diets, arranged in a completely randomized design (CRD) order. Dry matter intakes of feed being served every other days, weight gain and size increase of snails were assessed fortnightly. The results showed that pawpaw leaf is higher in protein than cabbage leaf and pawpaw fruit.
However, cabbage leaf contains some essential mineral elements, which are useful in body building than the other two feedstuffs. It also showed that snails fed with cabbage leaves had the highest dry matter intake and weight gain of 14.2 and 18.6 g, respectively. Highest shell length and circumference increase of 0.3 and 0.6 cm were obtained in pawpaw fruit and pawpaw leaf respectively. Although there was no significance difference (p > 0.05) in the weight gain of snails fed with pawpaw fruit and cabbage leaves, cabbage leaf seems to be richer in protein and other essential mineral elements than pawpaw fruit. It was therefore concluded that cabbage leaf could serve as a good substitute for pawpaw fruit and leaves, which hitherto were known as the preferred natural feedstuff of snails.” That was the abstract of a research paper by 4 professor level experts from the Federal college of forestry Jericho , Ibadan. I saw it since 2009 and I have applied it successfully.
The other cheap but effective calcium source is broken rock fragments of limestone. Just place them as ‘Licking stones’ in pens or the habitat where you plan to house your snails. Find them easily in stores where poultry feeds are sold or just take a hike to the hills of Okpella in Edo, Nkalagu in Ebonyi, Obajana in Kogi or mfanmosing in cross river and load sacks of it for you. Good Calcium Supply, Bigger Healthier Snails.
Density matters! Instead of wondering what brought Physics into snail farming, proper use of space can determine if your snail venture is successful or not. Why have plenty of snails in a confined space or little snails in a wide enclosure. One issue as I mentioned in ‘Breeder Snails’ is the fact that density affects the growth and breeding capacity of snails. High density populations tend to grow slowly, develop into smaller adults, and lay fewer clutches of eggs and fewer eggs per clutch. If the snails are very densely packed, they may not breed at all. The accumulating slime suppresses reproduction. Other disadvantages of high density are the high rates of parasitism and ease of transmission of diseases.
Snails tend not to breed when packed too densely or when the slime in the pen accumulates too much. The slime apparently works like a pheromone and suppresses reproduction. On the other hand, snails in groups of about 100 seem to breed better than when only a few snails are confined together. Perhaps they have more potential mates from which to choose. Snails in a densely populated area grow more slowly even when food is abundant, and they also have a higher mortality rate. These snails then become smaller adults who lay fewer clutches of eggs, have fewer eggs per clutch, and the eggs have a lower hatch rate. Smaller adult snails sell for less. Dwarfing is quite common in snail farming and is attributable mainly to rearing conditions rather than heredity factors. Crowding snails is false economy Think of about 20 Mature snails per square meter.( Infact, Per cube meter as they tend to climb). 40/Sq3 for medium snails and 80-100/Sq3 for baby snails. Density matters!
Escargot simply means snail meant for consumption usually in Europe and particularly in France, Spain and Portugal. For this backyard farming purposes, I will restrict it to farming, harvesting, processing and marketing of well packagaed snails. You have to get to the ‘escargot level’ if you are ready to fully exploit the goldmine that is snail farming. It is not really expensive to start. As little as having 100 mature snails laid freely by 5 breeders can start off your snail empire. Instead of selling to the market woman who would price and haggle, just harvest your snails, clean them hygienically and store raw in a freezer. Now you can have a better price from your road side ‘frozen chicken and fish store’ , a neighbour or even a hotel or fast-food chain. 100 pieces x 250-400Naira in 6-8months.Do the maths for 1000 pieces when all you need is 50 metres square (5metres by 10metres piece of land) I smell money! I promised to bare ‘every secret’ in snail farming.
Bigger escargot operations can rake in Millions from exporting to Europe, Asia and of course U.S.A. The U.S.A is a goldmine as the government banned ‘Live’ snails from being imported. Our African brothers need snail in that country no be small since no Giant African Snail farm can exist legally. You can even do what I call stock market trading in snails. I simply buy small to medium sized snails from the forests at a very cheap rate in the rainy season (we are in one at the moment but it will soon end so take action now and put them in my ‘snail bank’ for 6 months). With a mix of expertise not unrelated to cheap/quality feeds and complete snail care you can sell in the dry season 4-6 months later and make 4-5 times gross profits. (Take into account initial capital, feeding costs ). Example buy 1000 snails at N50 and sell for N250 after ‘Banking’ them. More preferable is you harvest, clean and market yourself. This stock market is surer than sure.
Feeding is the single most important factor in snail farming. Snails are easy to feed, they will feed on nearly every organic food source that is non-toxic, not hairy/waxy including leaves, fruits, vegetables, tubers and household wastes (that contain no Table Salt (NaCl). Common food sources include fruits and veggies like banana, melon, cabbage, carrot, pawpaw, lettuce, cucumber, potato, pumpkin, plantain etc. Some people formulate special feeds for snails but you have to outweigh the cons with the pro. Why buy when you can have it all natural and next to free? Think of cheaper sources! Fruit markets, gardens and even the bush behind your house. The type of housing and the scope of your farm will ultimately determine your source and type of feeds. In that respect, contact me. Consultancy is not expensive.
Unless your snail farm is of the very extensive type, you will have to provide your snails with some or all the food they need for good development. This will require efforts on your part in growing or collecting snail food, or cash for buying it. Therefore, you must know what snails eat and what they need. Smaller snails will prefer juicer feed sources while adult snails can eat hardier feeds and will sometimes eat soil substrate to enrich its calcium source.
Calcium as I mentioned earlier is plentiful in some sources. I used to peel off the outside leaves of the cabbage until I read that the outer leaves have as much as 80% more calcium (40mg/kg and 70mg/kg) than the inside leaves. I also wait until the last minute to cut the cabbage, as exposure to the air causes loss of vitamin C. Not forgetting the calcium/magnesium balance needed in feeds as too much magnesium will prevent calcium absorption which creates growth problems. There are plenty secrets indeed!
This is just the start of a revolution.... join the train and know what G-Z holds..... Existing farmers are welcome to share ideas.
Snail farming is a slow but stable way of making money. I can however maximise your margins by integrating mixed organic farming into the mix.

Sir, I really appreciate you. This is because I have thought a lot about investing in Agrobusiness as a whole with fishery. I am interested in learning step by step.. The land is available. Please is there a way you can send me an email on how to go about it. Email is michealsalami555@yahoo.com, you can also include your number so I can always reach you. Thanks a lot and God bless Kaykaymil: Before I proceed let me tell You when You want to start Fish farming and You are a Novice the first people You meet would always want to milk You till You are dead like literarily be careful. So the next step I took was to survey the land which cost about 60,000 maximum but the people who brought me to the community said the surveyor they used cost 150,000 and I paid the money but after that I cut them off because they were after making money and not after helping a fellow farmer like them. After Survey I cleared the land, (we even caught a big rabbit while clearing, since any rabbit post makes it to front page) with about 20,000 removing most of the cash crops in the way of my business (Note: when I was buying the land I negotiated all of the cash crops into the purchase of the land so as to avoid the community coming back to collect more money from me for clearing). After that I fenced the whole land even though I did not budget for it and it was quite expensive but this saved me alot of hussle I spent a total of 350,000 fencing the whole land including labour. I used wire net and galavanized steel pole to fence the ploes mearsure about 6Ft and cost 600 for one and I used 100 with a spacing of 8ft apart, while the net cos 13,000 for 18M and I used about 16 nets. The importance of fencing Your land cannot be underrated as after I fenced people started coming up to say I took their land and then I told them If they had any problem with it let us go to the palace and settle it obviously they knew I would win and they all declined and I have my peace now. There is no encroachment whatsoever. Nothing irritates more than having to face land grabbers when You are doing business.
After fencing We started building the Farm house and digging the pond simultaneously yes it cost money either you go hard or You go home. The Farm house cost about 420,000 to build a store with a room and roofed it cost more than budgeted because of the Land topography swampy and had to fill them with alot of stones so we avoid future complications. The ponds cost about 40,000 naira each to dig and bag, I dug 4 ponds which cost me about 160,000. all this took a week and 3 days to achieve as long as You keep the money rolling. |

It is not about the name of the dog. I think you have seen a lot of dogs in your life. How many of the dogs have you seen that even when they bear Obama the owner gets a paint and then writes Obama in both sides of the body. I only know dogs have tags and I am very sure that no lawyer and I repeat no lawyer can argue this. Because if you walk to a hundred and one places to get dogs who are owned, they all have names or tags on them which show their names. None of them are inscribed on both sides of the dog body. Black Men are their own Devil/Evil. How can we grow with such impunity and miscreants all over nairalandchris: Commuters were stranded, yesterday, when Lagos Bus Rapid Transport, BRT’s drivers and ticketers on the Ikorodu-CMS route downed tools over unpaid salaries and unfavourable condition of service. The BRT scheme, operated by Primero Transport Services Ltd., began operation in November 2015 and has 434 buses on its fleet; and more than 2,000 staff. It was gathered that the workers convened an emergency meeting at about 5.45a.m. at the loading station, after which they converged on the bus corridor and barricaded it. The protest was orderly. Some of the workers lamented that their terms of service had been reversed, with salaries slashed from N60,000 to N45,000. A driver, Mr. Julius Adejire, said: “We are still waiting for our July salaries. The funny thing is that as at Monday evening, we discovered that some other staffers, including the engineers and ground staff, have been receiving salaries alerts. Can we drive this bus on empty stomach?’’ Adejire said that apart from delayed salaries, the drivers wanted improved welfare and working conditions. He said: “The policy guiding our job is another issue; we are working like slaves because as a driver you cannot stop to ease yourself or have break time. “We are supposed to be doing 40 hours in a week, but they cowed us into doing 48 hours with just one off day instead of two. “We have been tolerating them because we believe this is a new project that needs to be supported, but the situation is getting tougher. “We don’t even know where we are heading; the buses are still new. Is it when the buses go bad that they will pay us? “In our appointment letter, they said we will receive N60,000 as basic salary and N20,000 as performance bonus. After five months they changed it to N40,000 basic and N40,000 bonus with a lot of conditions. “They are trying to instil discipline when there is no staff bus or accommodation arrangement for drivers who come from as far as Sango-Ota, Badagry and Agbara.” He added that drivers, who could not afford to sleep on the bridge near the BRT bus shelter, pay N500 daily to sleep in a nearby church. He said: “They should revert to the agreement on our appointment letter and also tell us the exact day of the month we will be receiving our salaries.

Call a family meeting of your wife and yours. Do not make it sound like there is something wrong.. Make it sound like something of joy. Then when everybody comes together and sited. Greet everyone first and say I will like you all to thank my wife for always been a lovely wife also and that before you go on. You will like everyone to listen carefully to what you have. Ask your wife in a lovely way to please lend you her phone, connect it to a sound system and play the recordings one after the other. Once you are done with everything. Head for a divorce immediately that should be done asap DevGuru: NOTICE: Please, my story is still very long despite that I tried very hard to remove some unnecessary portions. But if you can be patient to read it to the end, then you are ready to give a mature opinion.
I am a Yoruba guy married to another Yoruba lady who happened to be the last of seven children. We met at the University and had a long courtship before we got married in 2014. I loved her so much and I believe she loved me too. We were each other's best friends. Shortly before we began to plan the wedding, on one faithful afternoon, I was watching the TV in my living room when I began to feel a slight pain in my lower abdomen. It got more intense within few hours and I had to go to a nearby hospital and by that time, the pain was inside my scrotum. The young doctor there didn't understand what was wrong and started injecting me with pain killers. I was kept there till midnight. The next morning, I noticed that one of my testicle was swelling up. I hen went to a teaching hospital where Orchitis was first diagnosed. After a week of antibiotics with no improvement, a consultant examined me and said it was torsion which should have been surgically corrected within few hours from the onset of the pain. As at that time, the testicle was dead. I had to go for surgery to have the dead one removed. My wife (then my fiancé) was with me in the hospital. She assured me that everything would be fine and that we could have as many kids as we wanted with just one left. I loved her the more.
Now we have a very beautiful daughter who obviously has my genes and delights everyone around her with her alluring beauty. We nearly lost her to a strange illness some months back but for God who used my mum to restore our daughter. That's another long story but not for this thread. My mum loves my family so much that even my wife knows that she can lay down her life for us to be fine. Since we got married, my wife hasn't worked owing partly to our daughter's health which is now very perfect. It's not been easy for me working day and night to feed the family and paying bills in a 3-bedroom apartment in Lagos but God has been helping us. My wife was so much loved in my family that people around thought she was my mum's daughter. Very hardworking and homely.
A little into her own family setup too... She has 4 female and 2 male siblings. All her siblings are married but very close to the parents. Because my wife and I were very close, I was aware of most of the happenings in their family, but I never even gave any thought to them on how they might affect my own marriage.... long story...
Last month, I repeatedly got home late due to an official event which I told my wife and I was talking to her on phone. One morning, she gave me a wild look and warned me never to come late again. I quickly noticed the strangeness in her actions and I comported myself by saying "I'm sorry, it won't happen again". We ate together and I left for work. I returned much earlier and was with her and my daughter for a couple of hours before went to bed after I told her I had a meeting the next morning.
When I woke up, I checked the time and realised I was running late. I greeted her and rushed out of the bed only for her to jump up too and say "We need to talk". Go on, I replied... Then she claimed she observed that I've been cold towards her since she tried to correct me the previous day. I denied it but she insisted, so I told her I would adjust and that I had nothing against her. She suddenly jumped at me and said I was going nowhere. I was very surprised as I asked her what was wrong with her. I begged her to let me go and if we had to discuss anything further, it could be later in the day after work. She grew wilder and began to abuse me verbally. I drew her out of my way so I could go have my bath and she grabbed my singlet and tore it down. I was shocked! I then grabbed her two hands and pushed her to sit on the bed. She just jumped up and said "this is what I've been waiting for". She rushed to her phone and called my dad. Immediately my dad answered the call, she suddenly began to cry saying "your son has been beating me since we woke up today"... It was like I was watching a nollywood movie. I looked like a poor citizen who had no money to eat but just got an allegation that EFCC had traced N1.4b to his account. My Dad called me immediately and ordered me to leave the house first before anything. Immediately, she called my mum too and said the same thing. My mum called me and began to cry that she never expected I would disgrace the family in such manner. I was sad and even had to shout at her cos she wouldn't let me say anything on phone. She didn't even give me time to explain what happened. My wife immediately called her eldest sister too and said the same thing. The sister called me and asked for what happened. I explained to her and she advised me never to raise my hand against her again, while she stylishly insulted me, but I disregarded that. I felt like Pastor Ken in the movie, 'The Price' who had to pay for what he did not do.
I had already missed my meeting but I had to go to work. That was the most horrible day for me at work because I couldn't even use my brain to do anything. I felt cheated and sincerely felt like doing what I had already suffered for. Then I felt the urge to use a bit of my power... I transferred some money to her account and then forwarded an SMS to her giving her 24hours to make up her mind on where she would love to go, either my family home or hers because I needed a break. Fee minutes later, her eldest sister called me to say my wife forwarded my SMS to her and that she was highly disappointed in me upon what she told me in the morning. I told her that I got more infuriated and betrayed seeing my wife ruin my reputation like that. She advised again and told me to go home and hug my wife. When I got home, my wife knelt down at the door and began to apologize that it was the devil. At that time, my elder sister called me and I narrated everything to her while my wife listened to me. The next morning, my wife continued to beg me. I saw the remorse and hugged her. We became happy again. The next day, I called her sister to thank her for her intervention.
My Dad came a few days later to confirm that we had settled everything. Unfortunately, I wasn't around when he arrived, so he called me on phone and I told him I would be around in about 1 hour. Before my arrival, she spoke at length with my Dad but begged him not to allow us revisit the issue on my arrival so as not to raise dusts again. On my arrival, my Dad just advised me and said he was glad we had already settled it. Since then, I've tried to get my home together again. I started leaving my office earlier than usual even when I had unfinished tasks.
This morning, I was flipping through the apps on my wife's phone and saw Call Recorder. I opened it but discovered it had a password. As a techie, I traced the file that stores all the voice calls and began to play one of my wife's recent conversations. It was with her eldest sister who intervened into our matter then. I nearly fainted!!! The sister hailed her for acting as planned and they both laughed with satisfaction. My wife said she was happy that she successfully ruined my image in my family and they both laughed again. They said they were happy that my mum who always thought she had raised good children was made to realize that I was a beast who beats his wife and so on. But the most infuriating part was when her sister said she wanted to give her tips that would help my wife succeed in marriage. She advised my wife never to be open-minded with me and that she should begin to live a separate life while pretending to be a wife in my house. She said my wife should also open a secret account for herself so that family members can occasionally drop some token into it for her upkeep because men are unreliable and my wife agreed with all what her sister said.
I opened another and it was a conversation with her immediate elder sister - not the same as above. This one picked every member of my family and abused the hell out of us... including myself. My wife enjoyed the abuses and even cheered her to talk further. They both called me 'half man' with one testicle - a secret my wife claimed she would never reveal to anyone. In this conversation, my wife told her sister that she was very glad that she finished me through what she told my dad when I was absent, they called my mother all sort of names and this one even told my wife never to act like a good daughter-in-law towards my mother, she was advised to do everything possible to prevent my mum from visiting... and so on...
Now I am extremely mad. So many options are coming to my mind but I don't know where to start from. It is now obvious that I've been living with a stranger all the while. My day at work was so horrible that I had to leave before closing. My head and heart are both heavy now but I'm trying to put myself together. Any ideas? |
Romance › Re: I Lied To Her And Now I Want To Marry Her (please Advise Me) by Petroking: 9:10pm On Jul 05, 2016 |
Your story and what you need to do is not so hard. My idea : Tell her that you did not know you will end up doing this but you need her to know something which you feel is very important tell her that you actually work at oyo and not Abuja and the truth and tell her that you did not know why you lied to her in the first place but you are asking for her forgiveness and then propose. God help you engrjoseph208: I have been a guest on nairaland for 4 years. This is my first topic here. PLEASE DO NOT READ WITHOUT GIVING YOUR COMMENT, THANKS.
In December 2014, I met this beautiful woman while I was enjoying the xmas and new year festivals with my parents in Ibadan. She is schooling here but lives in Ogun state. I never thought we could go far, so I wanted to chop and clean mouth. I was serving at the time and I told her I was serving at Abuja instead of Kwara state. After my NYSC I told her I have settled down in Abuja instead of Oyo state. I have a well-paid job and live comfortably but everything is in Oyo state and not FCT. I didn’t want her to know I am living nearby because I didn’t see a future with her at the time. She didn’t appear to me as a good girl when we met, I thought she was a runs girl but now I know I was wrong, she is even more innocent than me and she gets all I crave for in a lady. Well, I picked her up by the roadside but I didn’t get to sleep with her but we became friends and she still thinks I served, live and work in FCT. We usually see when there is a festivity or holiday like easter, xmas etc. under the pretext that I came to celebrate with my parents. Anyways, I want to propose to her now. I don’t know how to tell her the truth because we are now in love and I do not want to lose her. PLEASE NAIRALANDERS HOW DO I GO ABOUT THIS WITHOUT LOSING HER. |

Business › Re: UBA Security Guard Returns N3m He Found On The Ground. Tony Elumelu Honours Him by Petroking: 10:05pm On Jul 02, 2016 |
I know this man well at UBA oba Akran .. But how does Tony help him??.. His reward is in heaven.. Another question going through my mind is.. Who get the money??.. stephenduru: Read what Tony Elumelu shared on social media below.....
'Last month, Mohammed Ibrahim Ogbanago, a security guard at the at ubagroup branch in Oba Akran, found $10,000 outside on the ground at his branch. In an unparalleled display of integrity, he decided to return the money. When I heard about this story, I knew I had to meet the man who despite facing rising petrol & transportation prices and “tomato ebola” returned such a huge sum of money without recourse to himself.
It was a pleasant surprise to hear him tell this story and about how he came to be in the board room with us. Even more surprising was hearing him speak about his passion for governance and integrity in leadership.
Mohammed Ibrahim Ogbanago is an exemplary ambassador of the UBA spirit and it was fulfilling to meet and reward him for his conduct.
The at UBAGroup management is proud to have this caliber of staff at all levels. Congratulations to Mohammed and keep up the good work'.
