Hello everyone,
I came to say thank you to you all even though I didn't get direct information when I asked for one but reading the thread from the beginning really helped me to navigate through my journey to Canada, its been blissful though spending my hard earned money but its all worth it, I only came to say thank you and to say if anyone is in Ontario and considering using the Brampton Civic hospital you can reach out to me to connect you to my doctor, he has been so good so far, I will come to share my journey and experience after delivery.

November 9th 2022- Application Submitted
Biometrics- Done in 2018
May 18th, 2023- Police Certificates From Nigeria and the United states.
June 26th, 2023- Reviewing of Additional Document
September 19th, 2023- BVL & PPR

My wife application have been approved since May 18th, 2023 . But was pending till they finalized mine. I knew this through MP and CBSA

Passport Submitted at VFS Abuja in Person- 20th September ,2023. Pick up 21st September, 2023. Only Mine was ready for pickup

Pick up for my wife and child today 22nd September, 2023. ( Authorization letter from my wife and my child's birth certificate.

A month, you’ll be sent a consent form to fill. You can’t pay with naira card.

- Go to Google, search ATIP
- Pick the first option from the list of results
- when the page opens, click on next
- click/mark the privacy box and click continue
- on the next page, select Canada Border Services Agency from the drop-down
- from the next drop-down, select foreign national outside of Canada
- fill out your required information in the boxes below
(Use your Nigerian address and phone number pls)
- Pick yes to the question about requesting information on your behalf if so
- pick member of the public for the category that best describes you
- Pick electronic copy for how you prefer to receive your notes/records
- click continue
- on the next page, pick privacy act on the 1st drop-down
- select English in the next drop-down
- select case files for the type of records
- fill out all necessary information below(for UCI number, use the format XX-XXXX-XXXX)
- in the comment box write a short intro and your request. Eg:
Hello/Hi
My name is SURNAME, First Second. I have applied for a study permit, my UCI is soso and my application number is soso, DOB. I would like to have the notes for my file
- then click continue
- also click continue on the next page(you don't fill anything here)
- you are taken to the final page where you review or edit your info
- check the I certify box and click continue
- you should receive a confirmation email from CBSA

I was not requested to pay for my CBSA notes and I got my notes in 25days, but I think the window is till 30days.

Eligibility means if you’re admissible into Canada, since that’s passed your approval rate is high, unless they found misinterpretation during background check. Criminality is just checking if you’re not a threat to Canada’s security.

IMO, since background and eligibility checks are also carried out, I reckon they'll confirm this during their due process.

If someone received B1/B2 USA visa after they've applied for Canada TRV. Do they need to upload the USA visa to aid their application or Canada would find out one way or the other?

You are requesting for your identity history summary. Make sure you click on online for faster processing. If you choose by Mail, it will take more than 30 days. For online, it took 7 days when I did mine for my permanent residence application.

Once you open the link, click online ,then you will see all information you need there , I think the processing fee is $18 or so. Then download the FBI printing card , you will find it on the page, print it out and do your fingerprint there. Pls make sure your fingerprint is good and clear because they might reject it. The first one I did was rejected and I applied again which takes another week. You can check on YouTube for proper finger print.

After submitting your application online, you will get an email where to send your fingerprint, something like ATTN: electronic summary, then the FBI address in the US, use courier service to deliver for you. You will get your report in your email within 7 days.

Pls I would like to ask, do infants need to do interview and submit biometrics.

I have a 5 month old baby. I want to apply for my own visa now as I am eligible for IW and want to know if I can add my baby as well since I would (hopefully) not have to appear in person.

Else he would have to apply with his dad as he (my hubby) is not eligible for IW so that they can travel together for the interview.

You are supposed to go with him. It is a must until he turns 18. That's when he can attend interviews alone.
