Iv-Consult designs – in cooperation with Hollandia and Arcelor Mittal – a new sports stadium in the city of Port Harcourt in Nigeria. This ‘Sports Bowl’ is part of the sport village ‘Garden City Community Sports Centre’, financed by the County of River State. In the village all possible sports will be present.
Sports Bowl is approximately 150 x 300 meters. The galleries are made of concrete and about 15 meters high. A steel canopy roof with a span of 40 meters and one support in the middle will be placed on top of the concrete. The complete canopy consists of 8 separate sections, which are made of framework trusses and purlins. All parts will be assembled with bolts on the spot.
Transportation, logistics and assembly of the trusses are a big challenge, because many kilometers of steel profiles and thousands of parts have to be shipped from The Netherlands to Nigeria. Sport Bowl has to be finished in 2011.

Kobojunkie:
I am sorry but there is a problem I see in your approach to this. First off . . . . you cannot compare the states in the way you have there. We are talking here of 4 years of continous non-government in places like Abia and Imo -- both with PDP controlled senates. That you have two wonderful Governors who happen to be PDP but have chosen to set themselves apart from the rest doesn ot remove from the fact that PDP has been bad as a whole to the SOuth East, at least for the past 12 years.

You have to look at the whole, not decide because you spot two exceptional cases means that their is some hope in PDP and so a reason to retain PDP. You forgot to mention the terror that the people of Imo and Abia have been subjected to in the last 4 years.

How long should we keep giving the same groups a chance, in the same states, hoping for something different? I mean If Enugu decided to vote PDP after the last 4 years of living with one of the only good PDP Governors out there, then let that be Enugu. But there is absolutely no rational reason why Imo Or Abia should vote the same party and expect  something different.

To this, I again state that ACN is not the only alternative out in the east for South Easterners, and should not be used as reason why we saw PDP retain it's ground in the very same states that have suffered at the hands of this same party for 12 straight years.
Now you are beginning to make sense,

londoner:
I don't get it? If he is living in a PDP state and he is seeing massive improvment, why should he want them to go in his state? Federal level may be a different story, but you are asking him to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

You only fix what is broken. I suppose Nigerians still see things in black and white, all or nothing. Here in London as you go through the local boroughs you will see that they are under different political parties. Its not just about the national level, it is also about what is happening on your own front porch, afterall that bis really what you experience.

The fact that there has been a PDP presidency all through Fashola's governorship did not stop him from making a difference did it?

I still want to see the back of PDP as we know it, but I am beginning to see that change can still happen and all the main parties are PDP in the making, and you know what ?

With round pegs in round holes, PDP itself may be forced to change what it stands for.
Now thats the mindset we need to have in this country.Brilliant!!absolutely brilliant!

O boy, this is the 12 years and the same shiit is what we keep seeing every now and then.
Dont stay in lagos and tell me to flush away PDP when i live in a PDP controlled state and can see rapid change every where, Frankly it is annoying and a tad bit childish.Has PDP done badly overall?YES, Is the ACN the answer to our problems?NO, Do we need a change in ideology?A BIG YES

I'm hypothesizing that in the SE, things are different. Perhaps the PDP was the most attractive option for them. If so, that is fine. . . everyone is entitled to make their own choices.
Finally, an opinion of reason!!
It is fine. Everyone has made their own decisions. Yoruba have chosen ACN, Igbos have chosen PDP. Fairly confident that the former group will not be weeping tears of regret four years from now. As for the latter? I don't know enough to say.
The igbos have not "chosen" PDP, they have voted based on perfomance, Thats why the PDP cleaned out enugu and rivers, A typical Igbo man will vote a performing PDP candidate over and over, whyhuhhe has no time for tribal politics.

Thats true, that would explain why APGA would take the owerri central senatorial seat in a PDP controlled state,

That is true. We Igbos have no leader. Or someone that can advocate the Igbo cause.

However, I am glad we are not led by a man like Tinubu. If we wanted that type in Igboland, we would have went with Orji Uzor Kalu. But, we didn't because the man is a crook.
thank you, they denounce tinubu but his political "structure" smells all over the SW,

@kobo, pray tell.why does acn represent change?because one man, fashola has built skyscrapers and bridges?or because you hate the pdp so much that anything with a semblance of opposition is acceptable to you?o please, i know you r well capable of 'above average' reasoning.

lest you all forget acn is it today because of one man and one man only, fashola.tinubu and acn are havin a free ride on his back.never forget that.if for anything, the south west is the region in trouble today because they have voted in a 'party'.a party that is increasingly and will become the pdp of yesterday thanks to crosscarpeting.it is not yet uhuru.

My advice: Add funds to your namecheap account with the MC and dont always rely on the MC to work on checkout. It works well (as of now) but in the last 2 weeks It has failed twice (generally) on Namecheap's payment processor.
