@ojimbo, i feel you, we all were here when odili was throwing money about, but tell me honestly, if odili did the above projects(and he could have done more since he was recieving 2-3 times what amaechi is gettin now)he wouldnt have left office smellin of roses but neither would he get so much of the negative sentiments hes gettin now,
@obeledu , i didnt say the eliozu flyover was complete, well almost grin,

@otokx, If u read my earlier posts,i admitted i wasnt impressed with the road construction and if uve noticed i have only posted pictures of one road but we should consider 1.the rains 2.doin more roads at the expense of free traffic flow 3.Local contractors, But if u ask me,i think the third option has the most impact on the pace, I think the governor is tryin to make the indigenes accountable by puttin the contracts in their hands, But it is slowing things down.

@otokx, Pls post pictures of what he hasnt done.I live in ph, I was born and bred here.Tell yourself and others the truth. We have not seen devt like this since dietespiff-okilo era, I am not from rivers so i really dont have any stake but if u deny amaechis good work then you are probably blind or one of those riverine ijaw who think amaechi was sent from hell to wipe them out, Prove me wrong!

Politics › Re: Amaechis Port Harcourt! by phantom(op): 6:52pm On Jan 03, 2010
@mbulela, i understand your point, like i said earlier i am not too impressed with the roads.progress on some roads are really slow, qualityhuhwell i used to feel it was being compromised but with the new rumuola road, i am really impressed, infact will get you pictures soon.
The truth is 90% of the nigerian press is located in lagos, fashola is well publicised but i can assure you there are things ull see in PH and ull be shocked at the rapid infrastructural change, the eliozu flyover is done, the notorious eleme junction has a beautiful interchange now thanks to amaechis continuity
The federal govt needs to come do the east-west road, and PH would have moved up a bit,
Amaechi might be corrupt o!!!but at least he works.lets forget all these magic governors on paper, come to PH!!

Politics › Re: Amaechis Port Harcourt! by phantom(op): 5:08pm On Jan 03, 2010
for those of you expecting to see skyscrapers,u ll be sorely dissappointed, PH is currently undergoin a revolution in education and health , teachers are being retrained in conjunction with the british council, the state has employed 200 docs to man these health centres, more are to be employed, as i type this, the BMH has been reequipped, with machines you cant find at the UPTH.it is currently one of the best state owned hospitals in the federation.heart surgeries will soon kick off there, if these are not people oriented projects ,what ishuh
Frankly,i am not impressed in the area of roads, even at that, the new rumuola road is a race course(and i mean that literarily), the agip flyover is on course, tam-david west/east west loop flyover will almost be complete by the end of this year(i should know, i drive through every day on my way to work), ikwerre road is currently being relit, hes remo
