There is serious war Brewing between the ist lady of Ogun state Mrs Olofunso Amosun and the speaker of the Oyo state House of Assembly Hon Monsuratu Sunmola as the 1st lady is not finding the sudden closeness of Madam speaker to her husband funny at all.
Naijahottestgist learnt that for sometimes the ist
lady has watched how Madam Speaker has carried
on with her husband and the Stories has made her
very uncomfortable, she initially ignored all the
stories untill she discovered that the last 2 foreign
trips that her husband made was with the speaker
and she challenged her husband who denied all.
We gathered that Her Excellency now finally Made
up her mind when she realised that Madam speaker was with her husband all through the week he was in Abuja for the Governors forumn Election and she pulled the trigger by putting a call to Madam Speaker to please leave her husband alone.
We gathered that the call Embarrassed the Governor and that nerves were calmed by a senior Amosun Family member who is very influential in the scheme of things in the state.

Gov Amaechi Visits Omehia, Pleads,

“Please Withdraw Suit At Supreme Court.*“I know I have offended you. I am ready to compensate you."We can work together. Please accept to withdraw the case from the Court.*

If you fail to withdraw and I am sacked by the Supreme Court both of us will be the losers. Somebody will benefit” Faced with the political battle of his life, embattled governor of River state, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has paid a surprise visit to his cousin and former governor, Sir Celestine Omehia in a bid to reconcile with him.
Pointblanknews.com sources hint that Amaechi had
several months ago made efforts to reconcile with
Omehia but the latter refused to cooperate with him.
He is also reported to have sent emissaries to plead on his behalf, all to no avail.
The source said Amaechi finally met Omehia on
Thursday, May 23, 2013, few hours to the day the
Nigerian Governors’ Forum election took place.
The visit which took place at Omehia’s Abuja
residence provided Amaechi the opportunity he had long craved for to reconcile with his estranged cousin. Amaechi was said to have gone on the reconciliation visit with the suspended Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Chidi Lloyd and among other dependable allies. Both Omehia and Amaechi had maintained hard stance since the former was booted out of office by the October 25, 2007 controversial Supreme Court ruling in favour of the latter. While Amaechi rejoiced and celebrated for reclaiming his mandate, Omehia was left alone in the cold
gnashing his teeth. It was then that it dawned on him that the hundreds of thousands of supporters, loyalists and admirers who flocked around him did so because of what they got and hoped to get – political fair
weather friends. As though that was not enough, theSupreme Court ruling clause, which stated that he(Omehia) never existed in the eyes of the law was interpreted by his successor and implemented to the last letter that he was not and should not be addressed as a former governor. Sources at the Rivers state Government House told
Pointblanknews.com that Amaechi hated his cousin to the extent his name (Omehia’s name) is not on the
Govt. House protocol list as a very important
personality (VIP) let alone a former governor.
“It is like Amaechi is regretting most of his actions
against Omehia.
Recently, he has made moves to reconcile with him,
but Omehia refused until he was placated by their
some of their Ikwerre kinsmen and a reputable cleric in the state. Omehia’s enlargement photograph that once adorned the executive council chambers of the Govt. House was also removed. This is just a tip of the iceberg of what Celestine Omehia went and has been going through all these years,” the source said.
No sooner had his cousin, Amaechi assumed office as the State Chief Executive than the state treasury was declared emptied by his predecessor, Omehia as well as the contracts duly awarded and paid for while his five month regime lasted was dubbed reckless
spending of public funds by Amaechi.
To Omehia, it was a nightmare that same Amaechi who was instrumental to his selection as his substitute
sequel to the K-leg saga could go so far to unseat him and press further to ridicule him even in his
predicament.Since then there has never been any love lost between the two brothers.
The enmity did not stop there, all their supporters also partook in the fight. The Amaechi/Omehia feud also
spread to all that related to the fighting giants.
Even the Ubima community has not been the same
ever since, with Omehia’s loyalists still feeling
aggrieved and nursing animosity against the jubilant new dictators that see themselves as Amaechi’s hatchet men.
Having nowhere to appeal what he described as gross injustice by the Supreme Court, Omehia may have resorted to prayers, hoping God would provide him consolation no man, no politician could give him.
He was later to decamp the Peoples Democratic Party who rather than identify with him at this moment of
need chose to follow Amaechi to make up for its losses. He was lucky that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was handy to accept and compensate him with the governorship flag of the party in 2011, four years after. Even though Sir Celestine Omehia did not win the election and came second, little did he know that the April 26, 2011 would provide him the opportunity to express his anger and disapproval of what he suffered in the hands of Governor Amaechi and the PDP.
That was when one Cyprian Chukwu went to an Abuja High Court to secure a ruling that Amaechi should not stay in office a day longer than May 28,
2011 even against the INEC’s position that the
governorship election in Rivers State would be in
October 2011, when Amaechi would have completed his four year first term.
Amaechi was sworn into office on October 27, 2007.Based on this contested court ruling, the INEC went ahead to conduct elections in Rivers State on April 26, 2011 in which Amaechi participated on the platform of the PDP.
To Omehia, this amounted to tenure reduction which is as a serious offence as term elongation.
Consequently, he (Omehia) went to court to challenge the alleged illegality which is still in court and seen by many as a potential threat to Amaechi.
Despite all the delay tactics by the incumbent
administration to scuttle the effort, Omehia has
refused to give up, hoping he will get justice even if it means cancelling the April 26, 2011 election which
both Amaechi and Omehia are praying for in the
Appeal Court.
Amaechi’s fear in this regard is understandable. Not just losing the case to Omehia but it’s most unlikely
that he will be renominated as the PDP candidate in view of his present travails.
His political structure in the state has been
demolished with the sacking of his hatchet man, Chief G. U. Ake and his lieutenants, the 27 members of the State House of Assembly that pretend to be on his side are also suspended from the party.
To the majority of the PDP governors across the
country, PDP leaders and the Presidency, Amaechi is a persona-non-grata.
The Nigerian Governors Forum is more or less
destroyed with two factions claiming victory in the last election.
Amaechi’s supporters are mainly of the opposition
parties who do not have a say in PDP and therefore not in position to help him out.
To add salt to injury, the PDP National Working
Committee (NWC), Monday, May 27, 2013, Amaechi’s birthday, wielded the big stick, suspending him from the party for anti-party activities.
This is the second time Amaechi is being suspended from PDP. The first time was in 2007 and was reinstated when he became governor.
As hopeless as the situation seems, Amaechi’s scanty supporters in the state still believe their principal will weather through the storm unscathed. But he who
wears the shoes knows where it pinches.
This explains why meeting and reconciling with his
hurt cousin, Omehia, even if it means kneeling down for him is now a necessity.
Who knows what else his detractors may be coming up with? More so, as dumping the PDP and joining another party may not help matters.
The new electoral laws, pointblanknews.com learnt, does not allow that except one wishes to forfeit his position which he (Amaechi) may not contemplate.
Doing so may be a direct passport to the nation’s
Siberia – the EFCC.
Though details of the reconciliation meeting between the duo is still scanty as at press time, it’s not likely
that the reconciliation that could not be contracted in the House of God as once brokered by Archbishop
Ignatius Kattey will easily scale through via close
doors. Meanwhile, a powerful lawmaker (name withheld) who was also in the delegation to see Sir Celestine Omehia told Pointblanknews.com that Amaechi almost knelt
down in tears to beg Omehia to forgive him.
“I know I have offended you. I am ready to compensate you. We can work together. Please accept to withdraw the case from the Court. If you fail to withdraw and I am sacked by the Supreme Court both of us will be the losers. Somebody will benefit”, Amaechi lamented.
According to same source, Amaechi was with Omehia on Thursday May 23, 2013 till about 2am on Friday,
May 24, 2013 and repeated same day at 8am.
Omehia was said to have bluntly refused to accept the offer and plea to withdraw the case from the Supreme Court but told Amaechi to give him time to think about it.

CACOL SLAMS OGUN GOVT

<>PRESS RELEASE<>

The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders (CACOL) has
condemned in strong terms the police brutality and
the inhumane treatment of some students of Olabisi
Onabanjo University who protested the draconian and
obnoxious policy of the Ogun State government and
the university management.
The students had organised a peaceful protest to resist
an attempt to make education inaccessible to the poor.
The university authority, even to the past
administration of Prof Aare Wale Olaitan allowed
flexible fee payment pattern for indigent students,
however the current Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof
Saburi Adeyemi without adequate notice that the
policy that encouraged instalment and suspended
payments would be abolished, decided that students
that are yet to pay school fees would not be allowed to
write examinations.
Reacting on behalf of the Coalition, its Executive
Chairman Debo Adeniran censured the Ogun State
government for its sadistic and anti-poor people
educational policy.
"We wonder why some ACN governors who rode on
the back of the masses to power could become so
monstrous overnight. School fees are hiked without
recourse to plight of the average Nigerians yet the
students are not expected to react, if they do the next
thing is for government to release its security
personnel after them. Every responsive and
responsible government listens to its people, they do
not just talk down without expecting reaction. Ogun
State government should reverse this sadistic and
anti-poor people educational policy that is capable of
running the future of thousands of students into untold
jeopardy. We learnt that about 5, 000 students are
affected, our question is what does the government
stand to gain if those students fail? It is a well known
fact that instalment policy is the most appropriate in a
country like ours where most are living below poverty
Line. This is the only way to put university education
within the reach of the poor and the disadvantaged
Nigerians,"Adeniran stated.
Speaking further, the human rights activists
condemned the arrest of some leaders of the
institution's students union and demanded for their
immediate release.
"The quelling of the peaceful protest of the Ogun State
University students is like killing an ant with a sledge
hammer! Opening fire and throwing canisters at
harmless students is highly condemnable. As well-
meaning Nigerians, we demand immediate release of
the arrested students and call on Ogun State governor
to address this seeming aberration".

Few Days ago, I promised to air my view on the
Gubernatorial Gladiators in Ogun.
I know the Brouhaha on the OOU Crises is now
overshadowing the real political time bomb that is
looming in My State. The OOU crises has taken a new dimension in our polity but I'll write about that in no distant future. Ogun State is a blessed State among other States in
Nigeria, no doubt. We've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. From Onabanjo to Amosun. Ogun People have never came short of different prominent People aspiring to lead us one time or the other. Amosun came as an agent of change in 2011 and everyone embraced him with a lot of gusto and 2 years down the line, the music is changing. Everyone is complaining with lots of bitterness. We cannot rule out that Amosun is working tirelessly in upgrading our infrastructures to a 21st century standard. Yes, he is. The concern of the people is, at what cost are these standards to the paltry resources of the State. It is no
Longer news that the resources of the state has been on the rise since the emergence of this current govt. From meager #700 Million Naira IGR in 2011 to over #3 Billion in 2013. From mare #2.3 Billion monthly allocation in 2011 to over #7 Billion in 2013. But instead of the Government to mobilize this to the general human capital development, they chose to pursue white elephant projects that have little to nothing relevance to our people. The current 2013 budget allocated over #130 Billion to road construction alone out of the total #250Billion Naira. Recurrent expenditure is next while the area of wealth creation through Agriculture, SMEs takes next to nothing from the Budget. Any Govt that meant business should capitalize on Employment generation for her over 70% unemployed youths. Propaganda is the order of the day. The same tool this current government used while campaigning is still being employed while in Government.
These are what gave the following Gladiators the
leverage to be scheming on how to unseat the current Govt. The following Men are oiling their political machinery against Amosun cum 2015 General Election.
Hon. Isiaq Akinlade
(I Hope i got his name right?)
Akinlade is from the same ACN with Amosun. but felt
shortchanged in the shceme of things in the party and
decided to move to LP and challenge Amosun, Akinlade
is a crowd puller any time any day. He is rich and have
half of the Yewa People behind him. The traditional
ruler and some leaders of thought too. I understand
the Paramount ruler of Yewaland is a card carrying
member of Amosun's ACN before he became the Oba.
*No proof yet* Akinlade has been a member of the
House of Reps for three consecutive term. He is
experienced, so I heard.
«» MY TAKE «»
I dont know much about Akinlade, but I understand he
has the political clout to give Amosun a run for his
money.Since Hon. Akinlade is from a region that is
clamoring to be the next Governor of Ogun State, He
needs the support of the other 2 region, Ogun East and
Central. I am not so sure if Akinlade have such general
acceptance across the other 2 regions.
Sharafa Ishola:
A Big man from Ogun central. The same region
Amosun came from. former SSG, Federal Minister and
He is a muslim like Amosun and he could be the
surprise package to challenge Amosun when the 3rd
forces put final torches on their scheming to unseat
Amosun I wont say much.
Sina Kawonise:
The most vocal challenger on the social media on
un seating Amosun. For someone like me who rely much on the Social media update
and regular phone calls to the people back home. The
Slogan is SK is OK. I will tell u that I believe SK could
be OK after all. He is the current man giving the
Amosun camp a sleepless night. But their is opposition
within opposition too. The Ogun West campaigners felt
shortchanged by Kawonise's supporters. Opposition to
Amosun 2nd term was from the Yewa people with the
Ijebus (Ogun east) as the front campaigners that Yes,
* Yewa L'okan* But suddenly, The same Ijebus are now
Pushing Kawonise who is not a Yewa man as the
Governor leaving the Yewans in the limbo. Today, the
Yewans are not really campaigning against Amosun's
second term aggressively as they do of Kawonise's
ambition. The social media is awashed with lots of
damaging character assassination of this man they
tagged as a betrayal. If he is a feather weight
challenger as the Amosun Camp and other want us to
believe, I dont think they will be this worried to
destroy him. At least, hes not the only challenger to
Amosun. This brings to my mind the scenario of 2003
gubernatorial campaign of OGD and Osoba. Everyone
believed even if the power must change hand between
the Egba Governor to any other region, definitely, it
wont be to Ijebu. OGD forged on and eventually
became a two term Governor of Ogun State to the
detriment of the Egba and Yewa oppositions. The rest
is history as they say. Now a political strategist should
know something that, Yewans are pushing for a
change again, with Kawonise from Ijebu as a front
runner, you cant rule out any surprise. For the fact
that his ambition is making hell lots of wave than any
other interested gladiators is enough for any political
conscious fellow to think deep. That is why I will say,
This SK could be OK afterall.

Gboyega Nasiru Isiaka:
The man who carries the banner, Yewa for Governor
2011. GNI, a very eloquent, versatile and intelligent
young man. I've heard this man speak b4. He is a rare
breed among his contemporaries. GNI seems to know
Ogun State more than any Governorship aspirants I've
came across in these recent past. When GNI debates
about economy, u'll marvel. Hes a very bright star
from the Yewa region. But I dont know much about his
ambition for 2015. I do remember his effort in 2011
and despite the fact that I was a PDP man then, I
respected this man and wished he is our governor
today due to his level of intelligence. If Akinlade is from
Yewa and GNI too, Both are waxing stronger on a daily
basis for the same goal, I will just advice they both
meet and move for a single fellow from that region to
avoid same thing as 2011 (Olurin and GNI). GNI can
vie for National Assembly seat while Akinlade give the
Governorship a shot. ¤My Opinion though¤
Finally, the only viable mean that these people can
really unseat Amosun is by pulling their resources
together to fight a common enemy, Amosun. Labour
Party is waxing stronger day by day, No doubt. But
with 4 Giant contenders in the same Party,

How viable
is it to pick one and the same gets the supports of the
remaining 3? Only time will tell.
As it is now, the game is on.
Amosun must go... YES HE MUsT LEAVE CUM 2013

Nduka Irabor, Tunde Thompson and other
Journalists cried when Buhari jailed them. Tai
Solarin the Activist cried when Buhari sent
him to jail for publicly opposing him. Fela
Ransome Kuti, the Musician, cried when he
was jailed by Buhari. Parents and friends of
Barth Owoh, Ojuolape and others cried when,
they were sent to early graves. Former
Governor of Imo State, the late Sam Mbakwe
cried at Buhari’s marginalization of his people
when PTDF was unable to construct a single
road in South West, South South and South
East whereas, the same PTDF under Buhari
regime constructed more than 98 roads in
the Northern part of Nigeria. Ambrose Ali
cried when Buhari locked him up for nothing.
Michael Ajasin cried and even became blind
thanks Buhari. Civil Servants cried when he
retrenched 53,000 workers. Nigerians cried
while queuing for their portions of scarce
commodities like rice, sugar, salt, milk and
toiletries. Students cried when he re-
introduced payment of school fees. Our
Economy cried when he increased external
debts by $3bn in 1year. Lagosians are still
crying from road traffic because He cancelled
the Metro line Railway Project. Nigerians have
cried for more than 17 years of military rule
resulting from Buhari’s criminal regime. What
goes around, comes around. Tears never
begin flow from Buhari’s eyes yet. All
Nigerians need is credibility not tears The
parents of the 11 copper members slain in
Bauchi, during 2011 post-election violence,
that erupted, following Buhari's post-election
speech activities of boko haram commence
and thousands of Nigerians are dying every
day , also cried The N2.8 billion stolen by
Buhari and trillion of naira that disappeared
under him in PTF is fresh in our memories, we
shall never forget and forgive him. We have
recycled leaders enough. Nigeria is a country
with more than 160 million people why
recycle leaders? Those angling to replace the
now discredited lot are in every way, the
same fingers of a leprous hand. They had
never offered anything for us in the past
except hatred and distrust among us. We
need a new set of credible people as leaders
not the old same people. They ruled the
country in the past and brought policies that
ruined this country to this extent and wants
to come back again, never. We are many in
Nigeria, let's try another set.
