Aero Contractors said yesterday that it is crashing ticket fares to N5, 000 for air travellers heading to the northern cities of Kaduna and Jos.

The actual ticket price charged by most airlines on the same route varies between N15, 000 and N17, 000.

The airline said that the new daily flight services will commence next month only for passengers travelling out of Lagos. The offer is available online or through the airline’s call centre.

Customers, it was learnt, can book and purchase tickets online at www.flyaero.com using cash card or bank ATM card.

The airline disclosed that interested customers without a debit card can book all Aero fares on hold via the call centre and pay at any Oceanic Bank nationwide.

This is the first time Aero is launching flight services into Northern Nigeria. Over the years, the airline has set the pace for air travel in Nigeria by offering low fare options on all its domestic and international flights, thereby enabling more people to travel at cheaper rates.

Commenting on the offer, Shaf Syed, Managing Director of Aero, said: “We are delighted to launch new services into Kaduna and Jos. This is our first foray into northern Nigeria, after so many requests from our highly esteemed customers.

“These new services demonstrate our appreciation to our numerous customers who have flown with us over the years. We are committed to making air travel easy, simple, affordable and enjoyable. We advise them to take advantage of this amazing offer as seats are running out fast.”

A 45-year-old man, Peter Ismaila, father of an eight-year-old-girl was nabbed in a public toilet while raping two under aged girls at the same time.

P.M.News learnt that Ismaila lured the two innocent girls into Kurmin-Gwari Primary School toilet at about 5p.m. on a Saturday and raped them one after the other. To achieve his aim, he gave both girls N150. It was after he had lured them with the money that he dragged them into a nearby primary school toilet and raped them.

P.M.News also gathered that after he had finished raping his first victim, aged 12, and was on his second victim aged 11, she screamed when he forced his penis into her, thereby alerting the school security guard who ran to the scene, broke the toilet door, only to meet Ismaila in action. He was nabbed and handed over to the police.

Kaduna Police Commissioner, Tambari Yabo Mohammed, informed P.M.News that the two girls were sent on an errand to Kurmin-Gwari, Kakuri market to buy soya beans, when Ismaila called them and gave them N150 to share after which he requested that they follow him into the nearby primary school toilet, where he defiled the two little girls.

The police boss also said medical examination conducted on the two girls confirmed that Ismaila raped them.

When P.M.News questioned Ismaila on why he descended so low to the point of raping under aged girls he could have as children, he said: “I don’t know what went into me, it is the devil’s work.” I have an eight year old daughter like them, the devil pushed me into it,” adding that when he saw the girls, something moved him to have sex with them.

According to his story, he became so restless that he couldn’t control his sexual urge at that particular time, adding that the girls too didn’t help matters as they yielded to his demand to have sex with the both of them at the same time.

Jailed former chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Olabode George, has reportedly ‘rebranded’ his sojourn as a prisoner, having paid a million naira rent at the Kirikiri Maximum Prisons.
Sources in the prisons recalled that a bungalow chalet was given to George Monday night, the very day he was jailed 28 years alongside four others for embezzling NPA contract sums of over N84 billion.
The convicts’ sentences are, however, to run concurrently, indicating that George and his fellow convicts would only spend two years in prison.

It was gathered that upon arriving at the prison Monday, George, who was a national Deputy Chairman of ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was horrified by the state of cells at the Prisons.He reportedly asked for “a clean place”, prompting the warders to reply: ‘Oga, except you pay for a VIP chalet, which is N1 million.’
He promptly paid a million naira, for a VIP chalet in which he would live throughout his stay at Nigeria’s most popular prison yard.

It was, however, learnt that the prison chalet is very close to where Major el-Mustapha resides. El-Mustapha was the Chief Security Officer to the late Head of the military junta, General Sani Abacha, and has been facing murder and attempted murder charges for almost a decade.The duo of el-Mustapha and George reportedly met on Tuesday, hugged and exchanged pleasantries.

Meanwhile, George and his co-convicts have filed notice of appeal against their conviction.They have also initiated moves, through their counsel, to apply for bail.
Others jailed alongside George are Olugbenga Abidoye, Zaina Maideribe, Aminu Tafida and Sule Aliyu.They were found guilty on 47 out of the 68 charges levied against them.
Reports said that the appeal processes were instituted at the High Court registry to challenge their conviction
