Well, I see a lot of unethical professionals here.

BOQ= Bill of Quantities

A bill of quantities (BOQ) is a document used in tendering in the construction industry / supplies in which materials, parts, and labor (and their costs) are itemized.

In lay man's term.. Its a comprehensive "Quotation" showing how much will be required to complete a particular construction project.

* As a Client, if you're embarking on a construction work and and u request contractor(s) to tender for such project .....he/she will prepare and submit a BOQ to you.

* For you to be able to Negotiate properly as you're a Novice in the field, you'll need the service of a private(consultant) Quantity Surveyor that will give you an holistic Estimate on the proposed. This is to be able to compare your contractors Quotation by using your private Qs BOQ as a yardstick.

Talking about German Floor(floor Slab)...There are three major material you'll need to get the cost.

1.) The Concrete
Get the volume of the Concrete..... and breakdown the material/Labour schedule
2.) Reinforcement..
From your drawing ...calculate the gross length and concert it into tonnes
3.) Formwork..
Calculate the area covered ....that should be easy for u

You have asked a very invalid question.

There's no way you can get an idea of how much it will cost you to roof your building without involving a Quantity Surveyor.

Meanwhile, Roofing involves:

1.) The roof covering and accessories.

You can only know the coverage area by applying some technical calculation. Otherwise, wait till the carcass has been in place so you can measure it physically.


2.) The Roof Carcass:

This refers to the framing, The wood you'll require. You can only get the length of the woods needed by technically calculating from the building section plan.


NB. All those giving you quotation are either Quacks looking for a way to defraud you or maybe talking from similar project.

The best thing to do is to consult a Quantity Surveyor.

B= Breadth of Building
D= Thickness( from the OGL to the Top of your foundation wall)

Assuming your answer is "X"m3
Multiply that with the weighing factor of Laterite to give you the tonnage value
