Where's the writing that calls PH an Ijaw city? You guys will not mind yourselves now. The closest Ijaws to PH is the Okrika Ijaws and the original land is on the Okrika Island. The only way PH becomes non-Igbo is Ikwerres becoming non-Igbo. So you can encourage them to deny being Igbos. But as long as they're Igbos, PH is an Igbo city. The Ogonis equally have a share in today's PH due to expansion.
You Ijaws should not make Igbos your enemies. You will lose more from it.
You Igbos already made us your enemies since 1967.

Nobody will rape and kill the civilian population of people he/she sees as 'friends'.

Also not true, you are trying to twist the whole thing!
Moreover if he was serious about paying it directly to the communities he would have sent a bill on that to the national assembly. Obasanjo also cajoled governors from the Niger Delta to finance his party. Where did they get that money from?

Even how representatives were chosen for the NDDC clearly shows there was no such intent.

Obasanjo was a crafty bigot!

Igboid:
Stop lying already.
Ijaw dominated and subjugated other non Ijaw groups in old Rivers state. That's the Truth.

You were worst than the Igbos you are always trying to demonize.

I had already posted Saro Wiwa quote on Ijaw domination of other groups in Old Rivers state that led to agitation for non Ijaw PH state just 4 years after the civil war, and you claimed Saro Wiwa was a liar. But you expect everyone to accept all your Igbophobic lies.

You gave no governorship position to any Igboid group. Truth is that with creation of Bayelsa state, Ijaw became totally emasculated population wise in Rivers state and the Igboids had the upper hand which they recognized and seized and have refused to let go since then because your days of unfair domination in old Rivers state is still in their minds, they don't trust you Ijaws with power.

Eastern region lasted for just 6yrs under Igbo control, ie 1960-66, but you Ijaws were singing songs of Igbo domination like the Igbos were in charge of the region for 100years. Now when other minorities try to cry about Ijaw domination of 1967 to 1975 and 1979 to 1983, that's more than 10years, you try to diminish their legitimate complaints.

And by the way, with what we know about Bayelsa population, there was no way Ijaws were 80% of old Rivers population. You used the imaginary population of swampy and scantly populated Bayelsa to rig elections then. Even if Bayelsa is merged with Rivers state today, Ijaws will not be dominant in the state.
Unlike you Igbo we don't beg people to be with us. As for Rivers state, we have been very tolerant. If we were not people like Saro-Wiwa would never have had the opportunity to send so many of his kinfolk on scholarship. The 6 years of Igbo domination would never match 200 years of Ijaw. It is no coincidence even people with similar linguistic structure to yours do not want to be with you Igbo.

You guys are hellbent on making life miserable for the Igboid groups in Rivers state. I hope they even join you guys so there is a clear line between we and you.

Some of you just promote outright lies and half truths!
Ijaw people never dominated old Rivers state as you claimed even though Ijaw people constituted well over 80 percent of the state.

Between 1967 and 1995 was 28 years and Ijaw people won only 2 governorship elections in the 2nd and 3rd republic. Both republics were short lived. Most of time old Rivers state existed it was administered by military appointees who were in most cases non indigenes.

In 1999 that the Igboid people got the state governorship, they got it because the Ijaw people gave them a platform. Ijaw people decided to allowed minorities take a chance at governance. They governors Rivers state has had since 1999 till date did not get there by being Igbo. Several factors have worked in favour of them, not being Igbo.

You probably don't even know that it is because of Obasanjo's Land use act that Buhari has not yet turned your Communities in Ruga Settlements

The Land Use Act gives the State Governor all State Land to hold in Trust for the States People

It was during Yaradua's time that the Militants took up Arms

NDDC was for developing the Niger Delta and Obasanjo made sure it received funds separate from the Derivation funds

It has been led by Niger Deltans

What did GEJ do that was more than Obasanjo
who. put him in a Position to become President
I can see you were a baby when these events took place!

Was Peter Odili governor under Yar'Adua when Ijaw leaders had intervene when militant leader was on verge of taking government house Port Harcourt?

It was under chief Obasanjo that chief Asari-Dokubo and late chief Alamieyeseigha were locked up. That led to the formation of MEND. Prior to the formation of MEND armed agitation had already started.

So LGAs could not have been " custodians" of our land?
Traditional rulers can't oversee land ownership in their own space.

We know Obasanjo's primary purpose was to steal resources from resource rich communities.

The Fulani have issues with Igbo and Yoruba, not us. If RUGA would take place is it in the creeks that would be done?

It is a lie!
Have you read on the process to award contracts? What about the 100s of billions of Naira Obasanjo owed NDDC?

Who cares? Did we tell you we wanted Nigeria's presidency? Did you see any militant come out because the North west and South west decided to foist Buhari on Nigeria?

Your country is not that important!

If not any other thing, Jonathan pushed the Nigerian Content act which benefited the whole country.

Many of the things he tried to do, you bigots prevented it because you have the parliamentary majority. You thought you were punishing the Niger Delta but you punished yourselves. Locked out investments, made the oil sector less attractive ,emboldened and empowered Boko Haram.

Jonathan did what your law permitted him to do. If he was like Obasanjo or Buhari, he would have disobeyed the law.

What Jonathan did for us was to expose the hypocrisy, jealousy and bigotry of Southern Nigerians.

At least we now know who our real enemies are in Nigeria!

Sorry but it was implemented. by Obasanjo who never opposed implementing it and it is in the Link too and it was he who rammed it through the National Assembly in the face of opposition

There is a big difference between writing a Law and implenting it

Did the Nigerian Government implement the Law from 1913. giving it the responsibility of feeding all Nigerians during a Pandemic. Lockdown?
Obasanjo robbed the communities through his dirty land use act/decree. Everything that would have benefited the Niger Delta communities Obasanjo destroyed or opposed.

His primary purpose for NDDC was to use it as a conduit to finance his political agenda. It had nothing to do with the peoples of the Niger Delta.

It was Obasanjo who stopped oil companies from giving their host communities electricity as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Have you ever asked why arms were taken up against Obasanjo's administration?

A remarkable difference between Buhari's govt and the hero of ipob lunatics.

In Buhari's govt, fraud cases are being unveiled.

But in the other case, stealing wasn't corruption, so no one was corrupt until they left office.
Stealing isn't corruption but for illiterates like you it is the same!

When you STEAL you take money or anything that does not belong to you.

When you are CORRUPT you bend the rules to favour those who give you cash or some other gifts in exchange for your readiness to abuse power.

What Goodluck Jonathan said was clear, STEALING is worse than CORRUPTION and thieves should not be treated like corrupt people because they are worse than corrupt people.

Their sentences should also reflect that.

I honestly think you are mixing up the 13 % Oil derivation Bill with the Oil Dicotomy Bill they were 2 different things entirely

In the Oil Dicotomy Bill Obasanjo wanted the Offshore Oil fields to belong to the FG

Personally I want the Offshore fields belonging to the States to be increased From 200m distance to 50 miles

That law affects Lagos very badly since most of its Oil is Offshore
