You are LYING, that's the basic salary of a level 8 non academic staff entry level, even graduate assistant ends more a little bit higher than that

I know a friend with BSc entry level as a non academic staff in a federal university in a Nigeria university was level 7.

Why didn't IPPIS correct that?
The system is oppressive and doesn't normalize the adnormalies.

Yes IPPIS is a wonderful initiative. But those piloting it a not flexible and innovative.
The platform should not accommodate percuilarities and allowance due to the worker. Even after out cry they refused to listen.

Are governors, senators and the president in IPPIS.
Use your sense check it. Something that more than one union have complained about. Does not that not tell you something is wrong with the platform.

These are issues you can iron out. Government have made their intentions known

Lay your fears/experiences on the table

For instance on the issues of salary cut, tax on gross income instead of basic salaries e.t.c are genuine an should be discussed with government in a transparent manner so that everyone will know what going on

And not against IPPIS totally, you both have reasons

Iron it out if possible sign contract that would honour both proposals

if government refuses then your strike can be justified

I can tell you IPPIS since we entered this payment system it's hasn't favoured us. Allowance, minimum wage, and promotion increament has not been received. And there is nothing we can do about it. And that is why the union has agreed to embark on strike after the lockdown.

My salary has been reduced by 7k since we entered this thing. Is that progress or backward

I work in a federal University in the south east nothing was added oo. Not even the arrears was paid to us. What shall we do.
