Are you following the trail of this discussion at all? The provision of appeal means that you feel justice was not served and the law gives you the right to seek for maintenance of status quo until the appeal is finalized.

What you are trying to say now is a convict should be executed when a lower court rules it so whether he appeals or not. Am no lawyer but common sense laced with judicial experience on the market place makes this easy to understand.

Except the judgment specifically asked them to vacate their seat as the case of the APC senator from Kogi. Ordering a rerun is different from sacking a senator from his seat. The content of the judgment matters.

But all these are no worries because I maintain that laughable position of at least two senators from the state endorsing a nominee will not hold water, it will be trashed when the chips are down. It is the greatest of political travesty ever seen in political circles in Nigeria. It is ultra vires, null and void on the part of those senators from Rivers state.

I have no arguments in this regard. I only feel they also have to file for a stay of execution of the tribunal's judgment after the appeal otherwise INEC will fix date for the reelection. Lawyers can help out, am only speaking what I think I know.

I do not understand this news. The FG announced before the Hajj they will no longer sponsor pilgrimages and to the best of my knowledge it was followed to the letter. The only concession was lower exchange rates which also make part of this report. So how does the government concede N160 to a dollar and still commit $11M to the exercise? Is this not one of the bad reporting we continue to suffer in the hands of media houses?

Each time I jet out of the country I get every reason to be very angry the kind of leaders we continue to have as a country. I mean what did we do to deserve what we have in Nigeria?
