NgeneUkwenu:Hmmmmmm, will have to research and refresh on this. |
BALLOSKI:Why do we keep thinking ordering a rerun means vacating a seat? He remains the substantive governor till the election produces another winner. |
chukwudi44:Let me drop this heartbreaking tweet here for you to buttress all what I have been saying about this issue. APC will not be as stupid as what you guys are thinking.
|
bashydemy:Are you following the trail of this discussion at all? The provision of appeal means that you feel justice was not served and the law gives you the right to seek for maintenance of status quo until the appeal is finalized. What you are trying to say now is a convict should be executed when a lower court rules it so whether he appeals or not. Am no lawyer but common sense laced with judicial experience on the market place makes this easy to understand. |
bashydemy:Except the judgment specifically asked them to vacate their seat as the case of the APC senator from Kogi. Ordering a rerun is different from sacking a senator from his seat. The content of the judgment matters. |
agurza:They will continue to be members of the senate until the appeal is dispensed. But all these are no worries because I maintain that laughable position of at least two senators from the state endorsing a nominee will not hold water, it will be trashed when the chips are down. It is the greatest of political travesty ever seen in political circles in Nigeria. It is ultra vires, null and void on the part of those senators from Rivers state. If Wike, mama Peace and the clownish senators from Rivers think the senate will sustain a rule that will serve just the political interest of their selfish agenda and vengeance mission they should go to bed and start the dream again. |
chukwudi44:I have no arguments in this regard. I only feel they also have to file for a stay of execution of the tribunal's judgment after the appeal otherwise INEC will fix date for the reelection. Lawyers can help out, am only speaking what I think I know. |
ocelot2006:Please show me any ex convict, under EFCC investigation or indicted individual in that list. And please don't mention the dramatic society clip called indictment in Rivers. That commission should best be called "Amaechi must be punished for removing our son commission". |
Truckpusher:You just went out of point here or you wrongly quoted me? Am personally not bothered whether Wike remains governor or not at the moment. If he is currently serving Rivers people interest right about now am not the one who should judge him but whatever the tribunal says. My interest is good governance not minding who. After all, if Portharcourt is developed like what I am seeing wherever I am at the moment it will benefit me whenever I come around. But we are discussing Amaechi's ministerial nomination and Rivers PDP shenanigans at the moment. All am letting you guys know is it will not fly in the face of that blackmail. After this the EFCC or any court can lock him up if he's guilty of crime for all I care. |
walozanga:Nobody will allow PDP blackmail anyone with pure hatred and vengeance hiding under the cloak of the ruling party's change mantra. That in itself is change. PDP Rivers and Wike will be shamed in whatever means possible and constitutional. |
ddippset:If they are sacked, they can appeal and file for a stay of execution within a stipulated time and if granted, will remain in their seat till when the appeal is dispensed. |
TonyeBarcanista:No president this world has seen will ever be as incompetent and clueless as the lord of corruption himself GEJ. In another news, a Bayelsa girl tweeted "We in Bayelsa know Alams was very corrupt but we still see him as our HERO" Then I understood the mass defense of GEJ by many from the Niger Delta, we defend our thieves and vilify our saints. |
No comedian has ever made me laugh this hard. |
Vanguard will keep fooling you guys. Personally I see vendors are more informed and journalistic than our present day media. Nura was not SACKED! |
sigiyaya:You wanted another set of world bank fraudsters and intelligent smooth criminals aka technocrats to come and dry the bottom pot left by the Okonjos and Maduekes. Mba, not again. |
Firefire:Can see your pain maturing by the day. Be careful so you don't join Lord Alams. There's no party that can surpass PDP in criminality and lies. We were lied to for 16yrs till Nigerians decided to shoo you guys away. Watch your heart man. |
EgusiSoup:Tell me you are just creating fun. This comment will win a Nobel and a Mo Ibrahim on IRONY. |
CuckoldMaster:Congolese man. |
chukwudi44:No, it's PDP senate. Hope your dick will get up now? |
Truckpusher:Quit that change blackmail. Even you know Amaechi is been haunted by the Rivers PDP senators for obvious reasons. And if you are not blinded by hate, you think APC will allow that to happen to one of their strong men? They will never allow it happen. Just forget the media razzmatazz and initial gragra, Amaechi is a minister already. Saraki, even with all his issues will not allow him go down. You guys should just prepare a wall to hit your heads on. No be only withdraw case from court, una go still request make them swear in Jonathan join too. |
Amaechi is a minister of federal republic of Nigeria. Wike and all haters can just go and die. All these media frenzy is just for show. An APC senate will never allow any of their own to be frustrated by the opposition no matter the in-house squabbles they are having. PDP never allowed it. Rivers state PDP should just buy drums of tears in store because they will need it. Ole, the election they said was free and fair is what they wanna use in horse trading. Yeye dey smell! |
omenka:The media has never been this rogue in the history of politics in this country. Since they could not stop the president in the elections they have decided to cause confusion by reporting junks which they know lots of gullible and semi-literates will gobble down hook, line and sinker. |
TonyeBarcanista:It is the confused media that has been taking you for a ride with sundry speculations. |
TonyeBarcanista:What really turned you to this? One cannot just move exponentially from Z to A. I can help in a way. |
I do not understand this news. The FG announced before the Hajj they will no longer sponsor pilgrimages and to the best of my knowledge it was followed to the letter. The only concession was lower exchange rates which also make part of this report. So how does the government concede N160 to a dollar and still commit $11M to the exercise? Is this not one of the bad reporting we continue to suffer in the hands of media houses? |
I love this. We will get there someday. Witch hunt is now proven to be good for our imperfect political condition. Let them continue to witch hunt themselves till the system becomes perfect or near so. Each time I jet out of the country I get every reason to be very angry the kind of leaders we continue to have as a country. I mean what did we do to deserve what we have in Nigeria? I only just hope and wish the youth can put partisan, ethnic and religious sentiments behind to jointly combat these forces that hold us back. We have all it takes to be a well governed and developed country. Really sad. |
Jorian1:Yes, cement price is coming down drastically. |
TonyeBarcanista:Would be glad if you tell me something different from Amaechi is a traitor. |
The federal government killed Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, nobody seceded. Please who's Olu Falae? Cry of some hungry deluded and isolated elders. GEJ's money is no longer available to share. |
TonyeBarcanista:I also want him to prosecute his "friends" but my issue with you guys is insincerity. The prosecution you all want for Amaechi is just a punitive measure for working against Jonathan. If he had supported Jonathan most of you will give him "look and pass". The hatred is just too much. The man only fought for survival in the face of strong adversary. Any man in his shoes will do same and that's what makes him a man. I like his type. |
chukwudi44:You all will be disappointed because Amaechi is already a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria. APC is the governing party and not PDP. |
TonyeBarcanista:Just one thread about them is all I need from you to demonstrate your neutrality and objectivity and you are good to go. I will print all your posters in 2019. |
