Efewestern:
What stopped him from talking things out with him, Not that Ejoor was even working for Gowon, Ejoor was just after the safety of his people and region, Supporting Ojukwu would have dragged the mid-west into a battle that wasn't theirs, so the best way was to abstain and see how things played out, I see no reason why people should fault him.

Every leader is after the safety and interest of their people. Invading Midwest was a big mistake!
And who told you they never talked? He made his choice and died seeing the fruit of the choice, do you think he died a happy man seeing what Niger Delta became under one Nigeria?

This guy forgot there is no universal formula for marriage, he said a women should walk away when cheated on, what advice does he have on how she and the kids will survive? Who told him he himself is giving the right the advice?

He thinks feminism and human right is akin to a happy marriage, plenty theories no practical experience. See what Tonto has turned to while upholding human right.

Yeye South East, always trying to reap where it did not sow.
Take PDP and Atiku to court, that's who you voted for.
Go and tell that to the over 25% of voters that voted him in SE. They are the one sueing, tell them they want to read where they didn't sow.

Maybe you have a different definition of sowing and reaping.

alwaysvik:
I'm not surprised this kind of statement is coming from a former Minister of the Federal Republic, afterall it is the worst of the worst minds that make in into power in Nigeria.

Conduct this experiment: Lagos - Toronto vs. Lagos to Calgary. Same country, but observe the huge price difference. This gentleman does not understand the simple explanation that it is cheaper to fly to a city that serves as a hub to other destinations. Flying into Atlanta or New York is cheaper than flying into say, Sacramento. The reverse is the same because the airline has to factor in the cost of landing somewhere else before leaving for the final destination. Like it or not, Enugu international airport is not a major hub at the moment, and there's no one to say that cannot change in a few years.

This ill-informed charlatans are bent on stoking the coals of ethnic tension to satisfy their desire to rule and further divide an already broken country. To his mentally blindfolded supporters, I offer my heartfelt condolences on the death of common sense.
Back you position with figures, official statistics of flight rate in Nigeria airports contradicts your theory.

dolphinife:
Idiotic Minister without brain....

He should first ask himself why Ibadan-Abuja is 45k while Lagos to Abuja is 20-25k

The reason its like this is because there's no competition in Enugu airport, and less passengers. Sometimes, Overland will bring just 5 passengers all the way from Abuja to Ibadan, but then, the price tickets are killing. Abuja and Lagos tickets will always be cheaper compared to other airports because of patronage and competition
Stop spinning g it around, official statistics of air travel published here a month ago contradicts your position. Enugu has a high flight rate in Nigeria, google it.
Celebrities › Re: Alibaba And Falz React As Nigerian Company Starts Manufacturing Armoured Carrier by PHIPEX(m): 8:50am On Apr 30, 2019
This no doubt is good stuff and every reasonable govt must patronise the company.

Similarly it's sad seeing Ambode import 800 buses that has alternatives in Nigeria, very sad. Multiply it by an average of 40million and you could see how about 32billion has been given to a Chinese company. Imagine what a fraction of 32billion could do to an indigenous company? We rather see a foreigner smile than see an indigenous company grow, crab mentality.

Lucky her, if she was to be from the East, she would have been condemned by her own govt even before Saudi. Abike already condemned the robbery suspects in Dubai even without hearing a word of defence from them, what if any of them was set up too.

This is what is expected of a reasonable govt and must not be done partially.

One thing I have come to know is that Nairaland owner and MOD are very pretentious. You push a tread of this nature to the front page, stand back and pretend you don't support tribalism as long as it supports your interest but when it goes against your interest you pretend to ban.

You seem to forget the power of internet and propaganda. Everyone can get sentimental and defend his interest but a big shame to the MOD. If you encourage tribalistic treads then you have no right to ban anyone that goes full tribalistic. In this social media age propaganda against any tribe will not hold, it'll be countered but Nigeria as a nation will suffer for it.

When you have economic power you can do anything and get a way with it. If this were to be a poor country USA, Canada etc would have banned trading with them including VISA and all what not.

Just for banning gay, they punished Nigeria, what stops them from doing same to Saudi Arabia?

I have friends with from that side, have beens to Nzam severally so I know what a bit of them.
I wonder which history of Name you read or were told without the inversion which is crystal clear.
Also note that Igala historically are typical warriors and bullies. They do invaded theirs neighbours and encroach their lands. Similar to Bini.

Aguleri and Umureli are purely of the same ancestry just like any other Anambra West, East and Oyi - Eri.

Anam is made up of group of migrants, basically from Nri towns and some part of Igala invaders. They did move closer to Riverside because of the the importance.
Thanks for the info, you know better.

The aboriginal Nzams are Igbo but they were invaded by Igala warriors in the olden days hence the mixture of Igbo and Igala.

Also, note that by oral history some parts of Igala in both Kogi and Anambra traced their origins to Nri.
Aguleri and Nzam people are of the same origin.
Thanks.
Seems you are grounded in the history of the area, I have read much of it too but haven't heard of the inversion. What about Aguleri/Umuleri and Anam, any historic relationship?

pazienza:
Umunze have a history tracing their origin to present day Ohafia area. Same with Isuochi, Umuchieze , Nneato and surrounding areas in Imo and Abia.
They all have history of origin tracing them back to the far Eastern part of present Igboland, close to our borders with the Akwa Ibom groups. Yet the name of their progenitor was "Nze". You can see how extensive the word Nze is Igboland? It wasn't invented by the Nri like some people think. Also notice that Nze( Umunze progenitor) wife was named Lolo , surprised, right?

Additionally, I recently read Agbor history by EA Iduwe and he talked about the cult of Agbalanze that was instituted by Ogele (Agbor Patriarch) in the early formative years of Agbor), and for your info, Agbor doesn't recognize Nri influence.

So that's two Nze from far East and far west of Ignoring Igbo speaking realm.

All creation of artificial identities like Anioma, Omambala etc are going to do in Igboland would be to deliberately bury every minute detail that could link the newly created artificial identities to the larger Igbo body and magnification of minute things that separates the artificial construct from the rest of Ndiigbo outside the new artificial identity.
This would in turn make it near impossible for us to ever come close to solving the Igbo missing puzzle and unravelling how we all related and dispersed to current locations.

I would agree with you on most things, but you see this your Omambala agenda, it will have to stay confined to Anambra East, Anambra West and Oyi, where it rightfully belongs. Any attempt to expand it beyond those borders would be met with resistance.

I apologize if you feel slighted by my Ijele comments about Flavour. I meant no harm, you are a person I might sometimes disagree with, but would always respect.
I see all these as unnecessary, Omambala is simply a river (Anambra river) flowing from Kogi state through Anambra North and does not define a people same way River Niger does not define a people. It's just a recent media creation. Anambra West, East and Oyi does not have a homogenous historic identity, so let's give that guy very little regard, he's ignorant.

You borrowed Nze na Ozo and what you have is not authentic. Your Nze na Ozo is adulterated. The other place where you can find towns practicing the original tradition is Enugu.
Stop talking nonsense, am from the area you are fighting for yet we kill every snake around. Social media has made all these your old propaganda difficult to propagate, you alone don't control the media anymore.

Politics › Re: Why Do Most Igbos Passionately Dislike Buhari? by PHIPEX(m): 7:28am On Apr 09, 2019
The writer sat down in his room possibly never passed Ore in his life and believes he's got the answers all fugured out. Buhari bad reputation has very little to do with civil war and much more to do with his actions in 1983. Gowon, Obasanjo, IBB etc all faught the war and much more than Buhari, why are they liked by the Igbos?

I believe that by locking up Ekwueme in jail while leaving Shagari, Buhari sent a messages to all that he's at war with Igbo's and his comments years after that buttresses it.

For some of us who were not born then or infants, we dislike him because he's is too conservative and a religious fanatic. A complete ignorant man in economics and Igbos being more economic oriented can't support such. With a republican mindset of an average Igbo, even if Buhari runs with Peter Obi in the next election he'll loose woefully in the East.

In all of this, the north which is the epicentre of global poverty is more concerned with winning the presidential election of 2023 than salvaging the raging disaster of poverty in the region.

Buhari's govt has done nothing spectacular to show he's interested in turning the tide, everything is docile even the fight against corruption.
