Sometimes I feel like ignoring people like you because it's obvious you lack proper knowledge of a modern society. What made Igbos come to Southwest is samething that made Shell, Chevron, DSTV and co leave their better countries to Nigeria. They saw opportunities where you are seeing problems. Chinese are all over the countries making money here but people like you with warpped sense of entitlement will sit in a corner and complain. People like you hate competition but healthy competition is what is developing other countries. So next time you think of asking an Igbo what he is doing in Southwest first go and ask a Chinese what he is doing in Nigeria, after all Nigeria is not better than China. GentleToks: Keep your mouth shut and stop playing victims. Who forced you and your freaking kinsmen to come to South West . Is Yoruba tradition has any similarity with Hausas/Fulanis tradition right from genesis? No. Is Yoruba or Igbo tradition has anything in common? No. We are different people. Would u go to the North and say a shiit about prophet Muhammad? No I presumed but you can do that in the South without any consequence. |

Until we build institutions that stand the test of time, all the one man show and messaic expectations will always fail us. I listened to him deliver this speech and I was proud of him. What we should ask ourselves is "after Buhari what next?" The rhetoric of fighting corruption without building sound institutions will fail regardless of how many men we send to prison. If the fear of jail was enough, IBB's administration would have been corruption free since Buhari jailed "corrupt" men. Like he said, corruption is just a symptom of a deficiency in our way of life. The fight against corruption is necessary but not enough to save Nigeria. |

Politics › Re: Igbo, Yoruba Clash Over Leadership At Lagos Market by PHIPEX(m): 8:15am On Sep 18, 2015 |
Abagworo: These are some of the dividents of radio biafra. Igbos know very well that they have thrived in urban and rural nooks and crannies of Nigeria by establishing a micro retail chain. This is only possible through peaceful coexistence which helped in relationship bonding in form of marriages, friendship and even property acquisition with the host communities.
The kind of danger this recent Jonathan's politics and its birth child radio biafra is putting Igbos will be unimaginable when eshold is reached. Igbo elders should as a matter of urgency call the ignorant Nnamdi Kanu to order or we might wake up one day to read that 10million Igbos have been killed by a gang up of every other ethnic group in Nigeria. so all was well in Nigeria until Nnamdi KANU starting his troubles and Jonathan became a president? You are more learned than this. |

Politics › Re: Governors, Ministers Must Declare Assets – Buhari by PHIPEX(m): 9:46am On Sep 08, 2015 |
Gbawe: Some people simply don't understand that Buhari is being very clever. Buhari is putting public pressure on others at different level of governance. A governor who will not declare his asset, when others have, will soon be seen as a leader with something to hide by the electorate. The "don't give a damn" refusal of GEJ to declare his asset was one of the things that put the public off our former President. That was the point many Nigerians realised Jonathan is corrupt and working for 'awon boyz' and not for ordinary Nigerians. well done Mr.President. We are in a democracy but a smart president will know how to use public pressure to whip leaders in line. Buhari's aim, ultimately, is to create a society where leaders are more accountable to the people. While I agree that Buhari is putting pressure on other leaders to declare, these leaders will also cleverly tell us that they have declared using the same argument Buhari's spokes man used earlier when he defended Buhari's failure to publicly declare. More so, the later part of your post may end in a wish that may never happen because when Lagos and other states failed to domesticate FOI after FG passed the law their supporters never believed they were hidding something. |
Politics › Re: Igbo Has Best Appointment Under Buhari – Keyamo by PHIPEX(m): 8:10am On Sep 07, 2015 |
Reski: Igbo's have this hatred for anything or anybody that is not of igbo extraction. That is why the nickname Nigerian jews befits them perfectly. Secondly even if Buhari gives all the ministerial slots to the southeast they will never support his goverment. Because their hatred is not born out of the fact that they want good governance or a better Nigeria or beleive in the same principle of federal character they are shouting about or the unity of Nigeria (hypocracy of the highest order). Igbo's should play opposition. besides even if igbo's are not given a single top position heaven will not fall and buhari will be re-elected again in 2019 without their votes. Igbo's are not the largest or the most important ethnic group in Nigeria. So trying to please them is for me is a waste of time. Let them wail cry or whatever infact even secede Nigeria will continue to succeed with or without them. If you believe they hate every other ethnic group why not simply let them go and form a country of their own? Some of you make comments that sound annoying. When they voted Yaradua and Obj at the expense of some of their own including Ojukwu himself did you term it hatred for other groups? Few years ago the mantra was that Igbo's are not politically united, GEJ came and they proved they are united and people like you turn around to call it hate. Am holding myself from getting annoyed by this your comment. As long as Nigeria remain in its current structure every geopolitical zone that feel shortchanged has every right to complain, Kachikwu is Igbo but not from South East same way Somebody from Kwara maybe Yoruba but not from South West. |

They shouted us down when we raised objection to their change mantra during election. They said we were tribalists and hated Nigeria. They said all we needed was a change regardless of the direction, they cared not whether it's positive or negative.
When Buhari was called for media debate to tell us his plans he avoided it and his supporters hailed him today we are told he promised nothing so we should expect nothing other than his body language.
Where is king Buhari's asset declaration and that of his Pastor VP? What has become of the "man of integrity" APC sold to us? Can somebody tell me exactly what the difference is between Buhari and every other politician?

I hate the sound of war, I've seen what two warring communities did to themselves. I love Nigeria and like many of my fellow Igbos, I have invest!ments outside Igboland. But if push comes to shove, I dare not stand on the way of Biafra freedom, I'd rather lose my investment than lose my freedom. These northern supremacists should be warned that Igbos lost all their investments 40yrs ago and still survives today thus losing all now to gain permanent freedom is an enticing option. |
