Politics › Re: Dasuki Releases Images Of Sophisticated Weapons Acquired Under Jonathan [PHOTOS] by PHIPEX(m): 2:35pm On Aug 06, 2015
midolian:
mayb we should believe Badeh because Dasuki has only released "pictures".
And what evidence has Baden given you besides work of mouth. Sounds strange to me to ask Dasuki to tell you where you can find the weapon, why not head to Sambisa?

I believe the military and SSS currently under Bihari is in a better position to prove him right or wrong. But I'll rather believe him than Baden who told us Nigeria has never bought a new weapon in over 30yrs, that's an indictment on more than 6 ex presidents. It sounds too political than reality.
Politics › Re: Nigerians react to appointment of NNPC GMD on twttter (PICS) by PHIPEX(m): 8:02pm On Aug 04, 2015
So many bigots on this forum are disappointed the Igbos are not denying this man, they decided to deny him on behalf of Igbos. For those that don't know, there is a difference between Igbos and South Easterner. The new appointee is an Igbo but not a South Easterner. South Eastern states are Abia, Anambra, Enugu, IMO and Ebonyi. For now, the South Eastern geopolitical zone has no single appointee.
Politics › Re: Osun Osogbo Festival To Be Listed On Nigerian Stock Exchange - Vanguard by PHIPEX(m): 10:01pm On Jul 28, 2015
What exactly is wrong with the set of people managing "the state of Osun"? From the world tallest talking drum to mountain top debt, now it's about listing a festival on Nig Stock Exchange. Is common sense this expensive? Why is everyone in that govt bereft of reasonable ideas?

I thought Buhari said he will stay out of the national assembly broil?
Same way he promised never to contest again after losing in 2011, believe any politician at your own peril.
Politics › Re: Did Buhari Just Say This In DC? by PHIPEX(m): 10:07pm On Jul 22, 2015
Am I surprised? No. The bitter truth is that even if the entire resources of this country is directed to the North in the next 4 years they will still remain poorer than the East. We have a terribly vindictive man as our President.
Politics › Re: Buhari And Saraki Still Not On Speaking Terms Despite Praying Together -thecable by PHIPEX(m): 3:44pm On Jul 21, 2015
They will certainly resolve their differences once Buhari names his cabinet else the Senate wouldn't confirm them.
Politics › Re: Emmanuel Fagbenle, Nigerian-born Is Gambia's Chief-Justice by PHIPEX(m): 8:32am On Jul 20, 2015
This country is sick. We celebrate when one of our own heads a sensitive position in another country and considers it merit yet when it comes to Nigeria we limit similar positions to people from certain parts of the country.
Politics › Re: Marylin Ogar Redeployed To Borno Command Center by PHIPEX(m): 11:43pm On Jul 19, 2015
This govt may end up spending all its time in fighting enemies. 4 years is just 1460 days, so far no single policy is on ground neither has any mention made of any developmental project. It has been 50 wasted days of politicking and witch hunt.
Politics › Re: EFCC Begins Probe Of Uduaghan Administration by PHIPEX(m): 7:50am On Jul 17, 2015
EFCC is a perfect case of motion without movement. Nigeria has produced over 150 governors since 1999, how many of them has EFCC convicted of corruption. They just make noise and grant them bail and that will be the end of the case. What percentage of political criminal cases has EFCC won? Perhaps less than 3%.
Politics › Re: Speaker Dogara Replies Oyegun, Zones Majority Leader To North West by PHIPEX(m): 10:19pm On Jul 16, 2015

If Ekweremadu outsmarted the entire Senate then he merit that position. It shows APC is grossly clueless.
Politics › Re: Fuel Subsidy Removal Is Now Illegal, Dogara Warns by PHIPEX(m): 3:27pm On Jul 14, 2015
Legionss:
But I thought this Apc guys said fuel subsidy don't exist?
That Pdp lead government are using fuel subsidy as a means of stealing money.
What is now illegal about removing something that doesn't exist?
Hypocrisy and deceit everywhere. They told us there was nothing like subsidy and a certain Tam David west backed it up with "facts and figure" and made noise everywhere same way Oshimole is making noise with his own "facts and figures". How come same APC now says it's illegal to remove what they said is nonexistent?

Kogi has overnight decided to build refinery, Orient refinery is on my mind.

The endpoint of all these games is an amnesty for Book boys. The game is simple, raise the tempo of the attacks and justify the amnesty offer. I love the game of chess grin
Foreign Affairs › Re: ANTI-GAY LAW: We’ll Pressure Nigeria To Reverse The Law – United States by PHIPEX(m): 11:42am On Jul 12, 2015
God will specially punish any country which discriminates against polygamy but supports gay. Why are we this weak in Africa? They criminalize polygamy which Africa practices but see anti-gay as discrimination.

Nigeria's Larry Page, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gate, Steve Jobs, to mention just a few. Forget Silicon Valley, these young men are making us proud. Imagine with limited power supply, limited access to high tech computers, limited access to expensive sofwares, limited training and yet they are able to develop their own mobile web browser from nothing. I salute u boys!
Any child whose parent can afford Green spring fees can not complain of lack of power supply and the likes. It's great hearing these kind of news from these top notch Sec schools where parents spend millions per annum in tuition fees alone. Now I can aspire to send my unborn children there.
Politics › Re: EFCC To Challenge Fani-kayode’s Acquittal by PHIPEX(m): 7:22pm On Jul 01, 2015
One of my most comical moments is whenever I hear folks talk about how Buhari will fight corruption. I keep asking if our President will be the one to sentence the accused. When he promises to recover our stolen dollars I also ask if it's through this unreliable judiciary and EFCC or through a military decree?

The rich in this country are almost always untouchable if in doubt ask our ex-governors since 1999.
Politics › Re: Tension In Anambra As 47 Boko Haram Prisoners Arrive Ekwulobia Prisons by PHIPEX(m): 8:52am On Jun 30, 2015
Suddenly Buhari loves us so much to give Anambra his first ever dividend of democracy to any state in the country. When it comes development infrastructure the East will be least considered. When it's about sharing political posts in the National Assembly, the East is least considered but when it's about prison matters, the East swiftly comes to mind.

In the words of Lucky Dube "they are not building schools anymore, all they are building are prison prison".

Politics › Re: Northern APC Chieftains Move To Undermine Tinubu - National Daily by PHIPEX(m): 9:04am On Jun 27, 2015
The only explanation I can lay my hand on now is that a house divided against itself can never stand. The south is divided so the north reaps where they didn't sow. If only some change chanters who were more of a bandwagon followers had been more articulate and less sentimental the entire south wouldn't have been in this pariah state. Now the best the entire south has is a commissioner VP after the supposed effort, backstabing and betrayal.

How did we allow the less literate North outsmart us this way, they act in their best interest and we come on the media to rant and quarrel like spoilt children. Who deceived us to believe that Northerners will suddenly favour us more than a southern would? The battle just started, we are yet to get to location of strategic infrastructures then we'll realise what we did to ourselves.

I don't think we should blame the OP, he has done his bit, the lady is still alive so let the govt take it up from here.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Sudan president detained in South Africa pending court order by PHIPEX(m): 5:23pm On Jun 14, 2015
Every head of state guilty of such heinous crime should be punished but ICC has been overlly African centric. They make it seem like it's established to hunt African leaders. Once more they want African leaders to betray their own like they did to Gaddafi.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Fcmb Or FINA TRUST Microfinancebank by PHIPEX(m): 10:43pm On Jun 12, 2015
I don't know of Fina Trust but some MFBs pay in 6digits, someone I know earns up to 300k. Even if Fina pays less it's still better than FCMB contract job except if what they are offering you is not on contract.
Politics › Re: Stop Seeking Foreign Assistance, Balarabe, Falae Tell Buhari by PHIPEX(m): 8:14am On Jun 05, 2015
I heard Buhari on CNN before the election blast JEG for failing to use our military to protect "just" 14 local govts that were over ran by BH. He said it was a shame that Nigeria needed the help of its neighbours to secure its borders, today he is going about eating his own vomit. What different strategy is he intending to secure our sovereignty?
Politics › Subsidy: Is Buhari Double Speaking? by PHIPEX(op): 5:13pm On May 26, 2015
I was running a check on when this subsidy that has become a curse was introduced but stumbled on what appears like Buhari is contradicting himself.

When we came into power in December 1983, we were approached by the world power at some stage to devalue the naira, remove petroleum subsidy and remove subsidy on flour, but we refused," he said.
He explained that "the issue was that if we get plenty of naira, what are we going to do with it? We even stopped farming and the only thing we get money from them was oil and that was being paid in dollars."

He said "if you have excess of groundnut, cocoa, cotton or palm oil, you sell it in foreign exchange. If you devalue the currency, the naira will be affected and Nigerians will not get value for their goods and services."
http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/daily/index.php/business/49809-why-i-refused-to-devalue-naira-remove-petrol-subsidy-buhari

With the above quote why is Buhari now telling us that he doesn't know what subsidy means as reported on Sunday? Is he double speaking?

I fear for his faith. Any sheep that moves with pigs must learn how to eat its vomit.
