jaydude:I laugh at your alabi, keep blaming faceless individual as your economy keeps falling. The title says since 1999, how come it's now that the "saint" is in power that things are going worse. It's same logic Sanusi used on us by telling us that if not what he did our banks would have all perished. What is the difference between the banks he met and the ones he handed over? |
I feel pity for those who voted on the premise of 5k stipend and free feeding. By the time Buhari is done, majority of them would be on the street as educated Almajiris. Some said even if he has NEPA as certificate that it doesn't matter, let's keep smiling in pain as a half educated man pilots the affairs of 22nd biggest economy in the world. |
How many of the yet to be verified accusations are false? When a sitting Gov lies with impunity what shall become the fate of the governed. I feel sorry for Kaduna state. |
Obviously, this man's death is not ordinary. Nigeria has never seen death in this fashion. Perhaps someone somewhere expected that INEC would have declared him the winner by now. Thank God for turning their wise schemes to foolishness, Audu got his life wasted in the process. RIP |
They said Dieziani stole but under her tenure I saw fuel to buy. We now have a born again Minister who hasn't stolen but hasn't given us fuel either. |
Frankiss44:I was about to ask same question. Interesting enough, this administration has not done any thing new for the past 6months apart from penalising MTN. From fight against Book Haram, to refineries, power, economy, sports, auto mobile policy, agriculture even fight against corruptoon. They only take credit whenever the result is positive but push blame to former administration if a negative news comes up. We all know how they celebrated TSA as the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria, they never reverenced GEJ when the ovation was so loud. What a change! |
Hope no one reverses this policy tomorrow |
The uselessness of the supposed fight against corruption is that when you look closely you'll realise that each and everyone of them is a witchhunt and personal or regional vendetta. There are usually multiple standard, one for the criminal we love and another for the criminal we hate. If you are a criminal but lucky to be loved by the loud Lagos-Ibadan media axis then you are "blessed" for life because every of your thievery will be positively rationalised. If the fight against Stella was sincere, how come it ended immediately she lost her job? The EFCC couldn't even invite her for questioning let alone prosecution and the once zealous media went to sleep. |
Hope this is not another propaganda taken to a new height. I want to believe he is misquoted. What is the total man power of the Nigeria Police that we are loosing 90,000 in 4 years? They better don't look for ways to exaggerate the statistics so as to steal. Even Shekau will contradict this man. |
nobilie:I agree with you only if the main reason is to encourage local production. But the recent removal of embargo on Rice importation contradicts the policy. In addition, am greatly surprised that most of our state govts still think only import whenever it comes to vehicles. Lagos is launching about 450 BRT buses today and it will be interesting to see how many of them are locally made. |
Am glad to read these kind of effort, for once in over 4years I'll applaud our comatose NAFDAC. A colleague in my office told me 3days ago how a company he worked for use to alter the expiry date of their old products in their warehouse and afterwards declares a promo, "buy 1 get 1 free" and my fellow countrymen will rush and buy an expired product. Painful enough these are companies with big brands, NAFDAC must extend their search light on other companies because it's obvious this practice is very common. |
Proudly Nigeria....congrats to us all! |
When I watched a documentary on our keeper Udoh by Ajazeera months ago I knew how poor most of the players on the team are. I never expected him to make the team considering how local where he was playing was. |
Congrats to the people's elephant, the only club I support since the time of Enyeama. |
That's one chance, I don't pray for such. |
Am surprised most people are yet to realise that once Biafra goes Nigeria is dead. That is why most Nigerians are afraid to discuss Biafra and they mast their fears in subtle threats of anachy. Why is Nigeria afraid to let the people they hated and distrust so much to go? Imagine commerce in Nigeria without the Igbo's, imagine a Super eagle without the Biafrans? You said Igbos are bad yet you can't afford to live without them. The ignorant ones shout on social media that ww should go while their fathers ingeniously work underground to make sure we stay. People hide under the last election result to insinuate that the Igbos supported the wrong party but they have forgotten so quickly how they derided us few years ago that we are never politically united. When we proved them wrong they changed their slogan to "we hated Buhari". Same way they are gleefully telling us only about the problems ahead, most of them have never bothered to think about prospect of a progressive Biafra. I hate to see a Divided Nigeria but am not happy as an Igbo in Nigeria if other Nigeria think I have no right to complain, then they shouldn't complain if more people buy the Biafran dream as the day goes by. |
DaBullIT:People like you are the reason why this agitation persist almost 50yrs after the war. Your complex you have right now is that Biafra will always be at the mercy of Nigeria but you forgot that there will be no Nigeria if Biafra succeeds. The unholy alliance of the West and North only survives when Biafra is held back. Biafra is the heart beat of Nigeria that's why Nigeria can not let her go. If I were you, I'll tone down your arrogant posture to solving this problem that threatens Nigeria's corporate existence. Your post also shows your poor knowledge of Geography because no where in history is the presence of a sea a condition for nationhood otherrwise, Niger, Chad, Mali, Austria, Zambia, Zimbabwe etc that lack access to the sea will not exist. Mind you, one of the propelling force behind the success of Ethiopian airline is the limited access the country has to the sea. |
Isn't it amazing how Buhari has squandered his goodwill in 6months? No one shouts Sai Buhari anymore. The little road we are managing has become a road to Golgotha in just 6months. At least if this govt can't construct new road, let them maintain the one they met on ground. This is sad. |
I used to think only ladies suffer this kind of discrimination but recently the number of "when are you getting married?" is amazing. Like the Op said, if one is not strong you'll think something is wrong with you. Most people believe that once one is working and has a house, the next thing is marriage. |
I struggle to see this decision of the tribunal as justice. If there was no election in Rivers and Akwa Ibom, why is it affecting only the governors? Why are the legislators both at the federal and state levels not affected? Every unbiased mind knows that something is fishy in these judgements. How come the tribunals that transfered their sittings to Abuja are going the way of APC? |
This kind of loss is enough to crumble companies, I expected so much from this company especially after the much publicised acquisition it made in 2014. I feel for its shareholders. |
The easiest thing in life is to criticise, if in doubt ask Buhari and Lai Mohammed. Genuses outside but dollards inside. With thevway Mohammed pontificate on Nigeria problem before election one will think Nigeria would have become an eldorado by now. |
lastpage:I wonder where you got your own version of the story from that an Igbo man single handedly dethroned a Babaloja in Akure? If that is true then the man in question is smarter than we thought. |
lastpage:The title of "Eze Indigbo" in diaspora is a mere ceremonial nomenclature. They have no power asides the mere authority the leader or chairman of any association has. Even at that they can't give an order. If they withdraw the "Eze" title and call him "Igwe" what difference has it made? It's completely uncalled for, for the Deji of Akure to feel threatened or insulted whatever word you choose to use. It's like a certain Herod feeling threatened because King Jesus was born. |
While I agree that traditional stool has to be revered, it's absolutely immature for the Oba of Akure to issue this kind of condition aimed not to restore peace but to humiliate. If the Nigeria state folds its hand and allow this to take root let it be known that the ripple effect can transcend beyond the Southwest. The traditional authority across the geopolitical zone has no absolute power to close down the economic activity of lawful citizens of this country as long as the constitution remains. It's easy to see it as a victory for the Oba but it could turn out to be a case of pennywise and pound foolish. There are better ways to restore peace and sanity in Akure rather than act like an absolute dictator. This can be viewed like a perfect case of inferiority complex, why should an Oba feel threatened because another dressed like a king? Will Queen Elizabeth feel threatened if another man dresses like a king in London. |
Freemanan:Don't quote me if you have nothing reasonable to contribute to the discuss. Am too preoccupied to seek attention here. |
Am not one of the followers of Nnamdi KANU but what amazes me is the hypocrisy of the Nigerian state. Times again we hear rants like go back to your state but when some people decide to go back home they call it secession. Why is the Nigerian state so cowardly, why can't we put our money where our mouth is? If we want one Nigeria let everyone work towards it if not then to your tenth oh Is real. I will rather be a Biafran than be called an Immigrant in Nigeria. |
I had similar issue months back but mine started after I changed my windscreen. I took it to another service centre who had to remove the windscreen again and refix it properly before it stopped. It was a horrible experience for me. Contact an experienced hand to work on it. |
Explorers:I feel like crying for my country. Imagine having something like this move cars from Lagos waters down to River Niger in Onitsha during Christmas time, so much pressure will be taken off our . Our leaders will see all these yet pretend they don't know and keep steaing us blind. The ones that pretend to care will start such project and turn it to cash cows for their pockets. See rail projects abandoned in so many states. |
bigfrancis21:. The govt of the state must be mandated to sustain this winning fomular regardless of financial cost. |
naijareferee:That's true my brother but when you juxtapose it with the media lies that have thrived for so long one can't help but "arrogantly" celebrate this natural vindication. They said we don't go to school, that we are only traders and these lies were passed down generations making it appear to be true. "Until the lions begin to tell their own stories, every story of hunt will always favour the hunter" |
Our high IQ level makes people who don't understand our way accuse us of being arrogant. It's first position or nothing, the word "average" is not in our dictionary. Proudly Anambrarian, it's in us! |
