gillz: First of all BBC hausa is not a radio station, they don't broadcast from an unknown location illegally but under the BBC family. BBC hausa don't preach hate against the Nigerian state but promote information propagation among the hausa speaking tribe of Nigeria. Radio Biafra is an illegal setup that broadcast from an unknown location illegally without any broadcast license. They preach hate against the Nigerian state. They are advocating for secession instead of going through the National Assembly thereby committing treasonable offence. It is not set up by any recognized Ibo group so it can not be said to be representing the interest of the ndi-gbos. For radio Oduduwa I don't know nothing about them @bolded, you said bbc hausa is not radio, what is it? Radio Biafra is not operating from unknown location, neither is it illegal. It's registered and operate from London. |

osabuohein: it's obvious your father didn't waste money on your education. I've lived in The Netherlands for more than 5 years and I can tell you that the way they do things here is light years ahead of Nigeria even in the next 200 years. They're 12 provinces here in The Netherlands and each province has autonomy. I reside in Overijssel and the laws that applies here doesn't apply to the others. There's this competition amongst each province and that's the reason they're very developed. There was a point in their history that a particular region was seeking self determination and the Dutch government intervened by tackling the root cause of their agitation and as we speak that agitation has died a natural death. That's what the Nigerian government should be doing but rather they're shooting at innocent protesters. There's no respect for human lives in nigeria. Every group has a right to self determination as long as it is done legitimately. You can never kill the spirit of biafra in the blood of the igbos. As far as I'm concerned, biafra is their birthright and biafra is a religion and not just an agitation. The North has contributed little or nothing to this country but have collected a lot. What crimes have the igbos really committed? Is it a crime to demand freedom from a union that's not in line with them? I concour |

Politics › Saraki Rejects Omolori As Clerk To The National Assembly. by PhockPhockMan(op): 11:52am On Apr 22, 2016 |
The president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has requested the National Assembly Service Commission to reverse the appointment of Mohammed Sani-Omolori, as the Clerk to the Assembly, to allow further consultations. Mr. Sani-Omolori was named the acting Clerk to the National Assembly on Wednesday in a letter by the Executive Chairman of the NASC. He was until his appointment the Clerk of the House of Representatives. In a letter dated April 21 by his Chief of Staff, Isa Galaudu, to Mr. Fika, the senate president, who is the chairman of the National Assembly, said the appointment did not follow due process. He argued that the Commission should have first considered Ben Efeturi, who is currently the deputy clerk to the National Assembly, for the position to replace Salisu Maikasuwa, who is proceeding on pre-retirement leave this month. The letter said, “The President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were informed that Mr. Efeturi was not considered for the appointment because he was not duly appointed as Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly. “On further enquiry, we found he was duly appointed by the National Assembly Service Commission vide Extract from Minutes of its 403rd Meeting held on Friday, 21st November, 2014. “From the foregoing, you have misled and misinformed the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives. “Consequently, I am directed by His Excellency, the Senate President, to inform you that the letter appointing Mr Sani Omolori as Acting Clerk of the National Assembly, be withdrawn immediately for further consultations.” Below is Saraki’s Letter 21st April, 2016
The Chairman National Assembly Service Commission TOS Benson Street, Utako, Abuja
Withdrawal of Letter of Appointment of Acting Clerk of National Assembly
We present to you the compliments of the President of the Senate and Chairman of the National Assembly, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, CON. Please recall that during your last meeting with the Senate President on April 20, 2016, the procedure of the appointment of the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly was discussed. The Commission was directed to follow due process and ensure that seniority is adhered to. Of course, Mr Benedict Efeturi who is Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly (DCNA) and who has previously acted as the Clerk of the National Assembly should be the first to be considered. The President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives were informed that Mr. Efeturi was not considered for the appointment because he was not duly appointed as Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly. On further enquiry, we found he was duly appointed by the National Assembly Service Commission vide Extract from Minutes of its 403rd Meeting held on Friday, 21st November, 2014. From the foregoing, you have misled and misinformed the President of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives. Consequently, I am directed by His Excellency, the Senate President, to inform you that the letter appointing Mr Sani Omolori as Acting Clerk of the National Assembly, be withdrawn immediately for further consultations.
Please accept the assurances of my warmest regards.

1. HAUSA BBC RADIO.
2. RADIO BIAFRA.
3. ODUDUWA RADIO.
THREE RADIO STATIONS THAT ARE REGIONAL OWNED.
1. The BBC HAUSA RADIO. This Radio station played a lot of war songs during the 2015 presidential election. This is where President Buhari carried out most of his campaign messages to the Northerners. A lot of attacks was slaughtered against President Jonathan on the BBC HAUSA RADIO. They BRANDED Jonathan with a lot of names.
In fact, BBC HAUSA RADIO championed the NORTHERN AGENDA in the last election. And all the Northerners saw 2015 general election as another civil war should the North lose the presidential election. In this Radio, they tagged all the Southerners and Christians "INFIDEL" and they said they will not rule over them again.
HAUSA BBC RADIO was the 1st Radio Station to carry out HATE CAMPAIGN in Nigeria and also the 1st Radio Station to further Regionalism and Tribalism.
2. THE RADIO BIAFRA.
This is the 2nd Regional Radio Station that is agitating for the independent of the Republic of Biafra Nation.
The Radio exposes and laments on the marginalisation of the Biafran States in Nigeria by the Nigerian-led Federal Government leaderships.
The Radio criticises the Buhari led Federal Government especially on the presidential appointments made by Buhari where 34 appointments were made without an Igbo man. The Biafra Radio Stands vehemently for the Independence of BIAFRA as a REPUBLIC.
3. THE ODUDUWA RADIO.
This is the 3rd Radio Station that they just opened recently.
The Radio on it's first broadcast declared for the actualisation of ODUDUWA REPUBLIC. They joined the BBC HAUSA RADIO and BIAFRA RADIO to champion for their regional freedom.
NOW, what is your view on these 3 Radio Stations?

Politics › Kaduna Govt. Seeks Death Sentence For 50 Shiite Members by PhockPhockMan(op): 5:53pm On Apr 21, 2016 |
The Kaduna State Government on Thursday asked a Kaduna High Court to sentence 50 Shiite members to death for allegedly causing the death of a soldier. The government had filed a five-count charge against the accused before Justice David Wyom. It accused them of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly, culpable homicide, disturbance of public peace and wrongful restrain. In the petition, the counsel to the government, Bayero Diri, said the offences are punishable under Sections 97, 221, 102, 106 and 225 of the Penal Code Law, Laws of Kaduna State 1991. The government said the offence was committed between December 12 and 14, 2015 in Zaria. It alleged that the suspects among other things shot dead Yakubu Dankaduna, a corporal of the Nigerian Army “with a gun when he alighted from the convoy to disperse the IMN members.“. The prosecution told the court that they intend to present 39 witnesses. The plea of the accused persons was not taken as the judge adjourned sitting till May 16.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) gathered that the 50 suspects were among the 265 persons currently in custody, who were arrested during the Shiites clash with the Army on Dec. 12 and Dec. 14, 2015 http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/202213-kaduna-govt-seeks-death-sentence-50-shiite-members.html |
Politics › CCB Didn't Interrogate Saraki Before Filing Charges Against Him. EFCC Detective. by PhockPhockMan(op): 5:39pm On Apr 21, 2016 |
The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) did not interrogate Senate President Bukola Saraki before filling charges of false declaration of assets against him, Michael Wetkas, a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said.
However, Wetkas, who was being cross-examined by Paul Usoro (SAN), said that the EFCC had interrogated the senate president on the charges that were filed against him at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).
“On the face of those telexes, can use please confirm the card account number,” Usoro asked the witness regarding the documents of international bank transactions tendered as evidence against Saraki by the prosecution at the tribunal.
“It is not there,” Wetkas said.
Wetkas: “The bank, Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB), is more competent to talk about international transfers.
Wetkas: “Every transaction in these telexes is specialised and that is why the head of international fund transfer of GTB is listed as a witness in this case, that is Mr Amanzu Nwachukwu. Our investigation was more on the statement of account which shows clear narration of the transactions in respect of transfers to American Express bank.”
Usoro: “Was the defendant interrogated in respect of the telexes?
Wetkas: “Not to my knowledge.”
Wetkas: “I know other members of my team asked him questions relating to his properties, about asset declaration at CCB, whether they were declared appropriately, also about the companies he has interest in locally and internationally. He made statements that I am referring to before other team members, including the petitions; he was confronted with questions on them.”
Usoro: “That statement you said the defendant made, has it been tendered before the tribunal?”
Wetkas: “Not to the best of my knowledge.”
Usoro: “You were told about it. Who is your colleague that gave you this information?”
Wetkas: “Usman Imam, Musa Sunday. These were the members that briefed me.”
Usoro: “Was an enlarged team of CCB and EFCC involved?”
Wetkas: “My own team stumbled on assets and loans. And the other team was involved in investigating companies and properties.
Wetkas: “It was when we delved into assets that CCB was involved.
Usoro: “Was the defendant interrogated when the CCB was involved?”
Wetkas: “No.”
At this point, Danladi Umar, chairman of the CCT, interjected: “We don’t take instructions from anybody. We are autonomous. Nobody is controlling us here.”
His interjection was after he had helped Usoro convey his question to the witness in simple terms.
He added he was out to deliver justice on the matter.
Kanu Agabi, Saraki’s lead counsel, asked for a week’s adjournment to enable him to prepare well for the case, but the judge adjourned the matter to April 27 instead. https://www.thecable.ng/ccb-did-not-interrogate-saraki-before-filing-charges-against-him-says-efcc-detective

By Damilola Oyedele Security operatives attached to the convoy of the Controller General of Prisons, Dr. Peter Ezenwa Ekpendu, on Wednesday evening allegedly assaulted a female lawmaker, Hon. Onyemeachi Mprakpor, for overtaking his convoy within the premises of the National Assembly.
The petition was brought before the House of Representatives at plenary Thursday by the Minority Leader, Hon. Leo Ogor.
Mkrakpor, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State, was driving out of the National Assembly when she made to overtake the 20- car convoy.
“They blocked her car, and started bashing her car. When she wound down the windows, an aide slapped her in the face. The CG sat in the comfort of his car while this happened,” Ogor narrated.
Ogor’s report was corroborated by the Majority Leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, who added that Mkrakpor had called him, crying, immediately the incident happened.
The lawmakers were still deliberating on what action should be taken as at the time of filing this report. http://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2016/04/21/prisons-controller-generals-aides-beat-up-female-lawmaker-at-nassembly/ |
