After the payment of application fee. Contact course advisor or graduate coordinator in the department for help. After payment of application fee, I had to send my transcript and forward other documents via email to the faculty of agriculture.
Josh1996:
Bosses, if anyone has applied to dalhousie university please I have some questions.
1. After paying the application fee is there a place where I can upload supporting documents
2. Do I need to send official transcript to the school before or after application
Thanks

Congrats boss. All the very best
Bellapette1:
I got my application approved yesterday!! Thank God!
I don't think there's anyone who has read all the post here as much as I have (I have been a ghost follower).. I started from the beginning grin
I actually posted my timeline yesterday but it was blocked. I applied on the 23rd of December. Both my mother and I applied for study permits together. She was approved about 3 week ago.

Happily thankful to God and everyone who helped in one way or the other. To everyone who is applying or waiting, your approval is on the way. And to everyone who was delayed, remember God protects his own and everything happens for a reason. School started for me in January but I had to defer it. Unfortunately, my mom and I were told to reapply for our different admissions. That's double payment. We thank God for everything. I just sent my passport and it has been delivered to vfs. Funny enough, we had booked a flight for Sunday. God will make it possible for me to get my passport back before then (Amennn grin).

Thank you all once again. Don't forget to pray for others too. It goes a long way!

N.B: Students may not work until they have commenced their program of study. They must actually commence studies in Canada at a DLI before being eligible to work off campus.

Hey man, have you tried considering jnyuwa02 who applied September last year, got medical request after 5 months and till date no update yet. This is close to eight (cool months of application.
Just chill, you will get favorable response in due time.
Martswoll:
Seems like having a travel history, isn’t such a good thing as it causes delay, like I know about seven people I applied before them who have gotten a medical call or final decision they have one or no travel history .

Whereas I applied 1st March when processing time was only 6 weeks , till today no update, or medical request ,bg check and eligibility under processing and review still respectively !!

The area I think you can improve on your application is your SOP. You will need to prove to the VO that your course has significant employment prospects in Nigeria, you will have to use this to prove your economic ties to Nigeria. What is the economic opportunity you are trying to create and harness? Please be as specific as possible. Do some research into various aspects of auto mechanics in Nigeria and specify how exactly your Canada education would enable you to come back to Nigeria and revolutionalize your sector of interest. Also, why go to study this course in Canada when you can go study it in Nigeria? The VO might not know the value of studying mechanical technician precision skills in Canada. Educate him/her. What is the benefit of studying the course in Canada? Lastly, Why PGD and not MSc?

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Phocusjosh(m): 4:21pm On May 04, 2018
Just an advise, In my view, an "insufficient funds" denial is one of the easiest to get out of, so long as you are able to verifiably show funds in your name beforehand. Pay one year tuition and show $10k in dom account in your name, which you have effectively done.

It is also indeed possible to get denied for other reasons even if the first denial was just for "insufficient funds". I know it sounds contradictory to the previous paragraph but let me explain how I think you can avoid this (as long as your next application is of same or better quality as the previous). Edited: Disclaimer: this is not a guarantee o, as I am obviously not a VO.

Ok here's what to do: Write a separate "Letter of Clarification" stating the reasons why you were denied last time (list it as bullet points so it is easy for the VO to read in case s/he isn't paying attention) and what you have done to fix it (write this in another set of bullet points showing each step of what you've done).

See the next post for an example format (modify it to your needs but I don't suggest you copy it exactly)

In doing the above, the VO is likely to not treat your application as a fresh application, but as an application that has already passed CIC rigour and only wasn't approved because of finances. Keep the letter in a very visible place in your application, if you submit on paper put it on the page right after your CIC forms, or right before your SOP. If online, put as the first page in the LOE section, and maybe even another copy as first page in Finances section. You want the VO to see it before over-analyzing your app all over again

Dear visa officer:
The purpose of this letter is to demonstrate how I have addressed your concerns about my previous study visa application. My previous application (UCI # xyxxyxyxyxyx, application date: dd/mm/yy) was refused for the following reasons:

x insufficient funds to pay for travel
x insufficient funds to pay tuition
x insufficient funds to pay living expenses

Here are the steps I have taken to address your concerns:

x paid $17k for one year tuition (see attached bank transfer receipt and university receipt)
x 10k bank draft deposited at Royal Bank of Canada, for accommodation and upkeep.(bank also issued letter), ensure you explain how you got this.
x first sponsor statement, worth $... (see attached )
x second sponsor statement, worth $...(see attached)
You can as well include your personal account.

My total annual expenses for my program cost $27,000, the total amount paid for my tuition and 10k bank draft deposited at Royal Bank of Canada, which is equivalent to $27,000. Please, endeavour to increase the funds available if possible in order to show you are financially capable.

My sponsor's up-front payment of my tuition as well 10k bank draft deposited at Royal Bank of Canada, for accommodation and upkeep demonstrate both my availability of funds and his commitment to sponsoring my Canada education. The total funds available for my stay, including paid tuition, living expenses funds in my dom account, my savings account, ... is $.... which is more than sufficient to cover...

I look forward to the opportunity to studying blah at University of blah, so that blah (i.e one final sentence to remind the VO about why you wanna study whatever you are going to study... only include this sentence if you have something concise and compelling to say.)

Thank you,
Mr. Ajanlekoko

To the best of my knowledge, Proving ties to home country requires you to prove you are financially and emotionally invested in your home country. Financial ties can be shown through any investment in physical property in your name or parent's name (you as a beneficiary). Emotional investment can be shown through family living there, relationships with people you are leaving behind, etc. A business in your name and as well employment in your home country can also be used to prove ties.
charlyduru:
Good day all , what is the best way to show home ties for someone who just finished NYSC and admitted with funding ?
