A whole 4bn for renovation , yet the state capital Ikeja doesnt even have good roads. |
Ikoyi passport office! The things my eyes saw. Nearly lost an apportunity because it took them months to renew my passport. Had to go there almost on a daily basis. See ehn If an immigration officer from Ikoyi makes it to heaven. Lots of questions will need to be asked. |
Please what does PTI status mean as per passport. Thats what I was told and its been close to 2 weeks now |
sonnie10:You seem to be making these assertions with certainty. First you stated that the machine was not brand new and based on that, there is no service contract. You are also making an assumption that people in a private sector that spent millions of dollars on a truebeam haven't thought about maintenance. Lest I remind you that this is a private facility and not government owned. You seem to have an inherent and deep knowledge of these machines which is deeply appreciated but you can showoff your knowledge without atrociously assuming and seemingly suggesting that people who procured billions of naira worth of new equipment from Varian are naive. |
sonnie10:How did you come to the conclusion that the pictures covered everything in the centre? And how is your first reaction to something admirable so bland and negative? By the way, that is a brand new Varian Truebeam machine. The first in West Africa. There are only 5 of it in Africa. This is a privately funded centre where billions of naira have been spent. It is not there yet but hell, it is one great start! |

Just imagining Amaechi fleeing has me in tears ![]() |
This country is becoming scary. People are picked at random to be kidnapped? I don't doubt the story at all , something similar happened to a friend of mine , they were shot at while returning from their hometown and absolutely lucky to not be kidnapped. In this case they had an escort who returned fire. Dear young Nigerians , start plotting your exit from the country , and do not travel unless it's absolutely necessary and even at that, use airplanes if you have the means. There is insecurity in the land and it does not seem like it's going to get better soon |

Sweeping generalisations and strong opinions. It is really sad that a life was lost. We are also tired of the system ; undervalued , overworked. Meanwhile, those largely responsible for the rot and those that should be heckled and harassed to fix the system are ignored and the blames laid firmly at the feet of the doctor. Ask yourselves this question . If I had a severe TBI like Yufuf did , would I have stood a chance of surviving ? Meanwhile the Doctor to Patient ratio is soaring , the percentage allocated for health in the budget is reducing , Ill equipped facilities everywhere. Yet there is no revolt , no screaming , no nothing. In the typical emergency situation , a truck load of relatives will accompany patients , but when it is time to pay , they are no where to be found. Like earlier pointed out , we are also tired of the system. There surely has to be easier paths. For the doctor ? maybe leave For the patients ? I really don't know. |
You have a budget deficit , you are borrowing money , yet you decide to "distribute" money. Okay , let's assume you truly care about Nigerians, why not pick 5 teaching hospitals and put 100 Million dollars in each (That's about 32 Billion Naira using 320 naira to 1 dollar exchange rate) or do something else that would have a long term sustainable effect on Nigerians? |

Kul3ger:The beautiful 'woman' on the extreme right is a professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology . A nice woman and really good teacher. |
stagger:The passenger that posted it is not just any passenger or "ignorant" . That's the founder/owner of flying doctors Nigeria ( Dr Brown Orekunrin) ; an outfit that deals with air ambulance and have planes at their disposal. so she's not "ignorant" when it comes to planes, she probably knows more about them than you or I do |
This state is weird |
Ango Abdullahi's sense of entitlement is baffling and to think he is a professor is just mind boggling. All he is concerned about is power sharing meanwhile the country is in dire need of serious development. 2019 is sure going to be interesting but one thing is certain ,Nigerians are becoming less and less driven by sentiments and at some point , questions like "how can we move this country forward?" will replace questions like " what region will the president come from?" and when Nigerians start making decisions based on asking the right questions , there's nothing he or the forum can do about it . |
..If you like , don't knock on that gate when visiting |
The things i hear in this country. |
Good to know that they read the reports at least , cos if recent it seems the govt is not aware of what is happening amongst the populace. They probably read nairaland too.. who knows ? ![]() |

...And how many Nigerians do they think die from their mismanagement? To be honest, these governors indirectly sign death warrants daily so they shouldn't shy away from what they are pretty good at. |
USA should come and run their mouth the way they did in Nigeria's case. Nah they won't, they know their boundaries |
Bolt and I are second today. He was beaten by 0.01 second by Gatlin, I was beaten by a minute by 3ace. We live to fight another day. |
