I believe I owe you guys this advice. Was in you all shoes last year and believe me I know what you guys are facing; the numerous advices , the rush, the madness, the tension and co. You guys should calm down, take your time to evaluate the whole situation and develop a strategy to attack the exam. I encourage personal reading and if you are the type that prefer tutorials no probs, forget all those PUME past questions being sold, get a dictionary and sit down with Jamb pack (for english), get a good maths text book ( I recommend comprehensive maths; for maths), listen to news for the general paper (I wasn't asked any question in that aspect though). Like John rightly said, forget your Jamb score, just go in with the mind set that you will make it and with adequate preparation and prayers, you will. Just prepare well, BE CALM ( you will need it during the exams ) and pray. Was admitted to study medicine last year , scored 88! If I can make it, you all can! |

1025: if to say man be God ooo if to say man be God ooooooooo if to say man be God oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo we for don die we for don kpeme tofia kwa chelsea for don kpeme tofia kwa.
can anyone here tell me about the ref? who is he? from where? officiating in which league? is such important match between barca and chelsea a game to try ref? why won't they use high class refs whose carrier will be at stake at the end of such awful performance? shame to platini, barca drama boys that can't stand 11 players, shame to chelsea haters. what the sirs and professors in egnland could not do, a di matheo has done. when God is with us, no barca can be against us. i am praying for someone now, every barca in ur life shall see ur drogba, ramires, mikel and torres - amen. every barca attempt on ur goal shall experience a peter cech - amen. it shall be well with roman, di matheo and all the chelsea arm forces ruling council. we have proved our critics wrong. @Esty Her subject combination for utmte is okay, also, the brochure states 'five'o' level credit passes to include English language, literature in english and mathematics' so she should be fine. |

Like I said earlier, the affidavit invalidates other dates. Just take your mind off the issue for now and concentrate on scoring high in Jamb. |

@ emma_esty. The fact is that u re not eligible for this year's admission process but then, an affidavit can be sworn to that effect. I had a similar problem(that was the reason I emphasised it in my previous post)but an affidavit took care of it. An affidavit invalidate other dates so you should be fine. |

Please before I commence, erase the notion that admission in unilag is by 'who you know'. I can confidently say that I didn't pay a dime to secure admission in Unilag. on that note, lets continue. The first hurdle is scoring high in JAMB, scoring high definitely gives you an edge and as someone previously stated, one's aggregate is calculated by dividing one's score by eight( and post ume score by two(2). I therefore implore everyone to try and score high in Jamb.lest I forget, your subject combination is very important. Commercial and arts students are mostly prone to this error i. e economics/commerce, further maths for actuarial science e.t.c unlike the traditional chemistry, physics, Biology, maths (depends on your course)for science students.so you should make inquires and not just rely on the jamb brochure. You should also take note of your date of birth in your jamb form as one girl was disqualified right in my presence cos she wasn't up to 16. That said,I am currently a student here, beat the highest cut off mark set(medicine and surgery) and one thing I can tell you for sure is that there are no two ways to good success.Hard work, and discipline pays. Just put in your best, pray, believe in yourself and you will make it here.I didn't attend any tutorials, neither did I pay anybody for admission yet my pume score was one of the highest(88). I am not discouraging anyone from attending tutorials, but I am trying to state the essence of personal reading cos it helps a lot. Here attached are some files I believe you guys would find helpful. I attached files containing cut offs for this years and last year’s admission process. so it is likely this year's cut offs will be higher. Also, review the file (print), it clearly shows the number of applicants for each departments, note that the pressure on departments like medicine, business admin and accounting is pretty high. Lastly, there is a file about pume practice questions from UNILAG. I will keep updating you guys from time to time. just ask questions if u re not clear and hopefully, I should be able to provide answers. GOOD LUCK |

Politics › Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan Has Declared A State Of Emergency In Areas Hard Hit By Violence by Phoenix6278(op): 10:29pm On Dec 31, 2011 |
Nigeria Declares State of Emergency after Attacks Declaration targets areas hard hit by violence blamed on radical Islamist sect Boko Haram Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has declared a state of emergency in areas hard hit by violence blamed on the radical Islamist sect Boko Haram. In an address on state television Saturday, Jonathan said the measure is in force in parts of Yobe and Borno states in the northeast, Plateau state in central Nigeria, and Niger state in the east. He said a temporary closure of borders in those areas is needed to address security challenges and restore normalcy to the country. The move came following a series of Christmas Day attacks in northeastern Nigeria, including four that killed about 40 people, most of them Christians. The violence is blamed on Boko Haram, an Islamist sect that has claimed responsibility for multiple bombings and shootings in the north and in the capital, Abuja. The group's name means "western education is a sin." The violence is raising fears that the militants are trying to ignite sectarian strife. The opposition has criticized the Jonathan administration for failing to control Boko Haram. Nigeria is roughly divided into a mostly Muslim north and a predominantly Christian south. Some information for this report was provided by AP, AFP and Reuters. |

Wallie: These are from a book called 'Disorder in the American Courts' and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.
