Google has revealed its plans to allow users to opt-out of sharing their Advertising ID with advertisers. What this means is that, if a user opts-out, advertisers will no longer be able to track the user's activity as they move between different apps.

The Nigerian Government has suspended the use of Twitter in the country indefinitely. The Government made the announcement earlier today through a statement shared by the Special Assistant to the President, Segun Adeyemi. The statement reads:

"The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension in a statement issued in Abuja on Friday, citing the persistent use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence. The Minister said the Federal Government has also directed the National Broadcasting l Commission (NBC) to immediately commence the process of licensing all OTT and social media operations in Nigeria."

Apple earlier today released iOS 14.6 for all the company's iPhones newer than the iPhone 6e and iPadOS 14.6 for its iPads. Apple also released macOS 11.4, watchOS 7.5, tvOS 14.6 and HomePod OS 14.6.

One of the major features of the iOS 14.6 is support Apple Card Family. A features which enables families to share their Apple Cards with other family members through a Family Sharing group.

The new software also adds support for Apple Podcasts Subscriptions which enables podcasts listeners in 170 countries to subscribe to Apple Podcasts.

Pavel Durov, the founder of social messaging platform Telegram says developing for Apple's software feels like working in the "Middle Ages," adding that users are a "digital slave" to the company.

Durov made comments in his public Telegram channel on May 19 in response to a recent New York Times investigation on Apple's relationship with China and its involvement in "large-scale surveillance and censorship at the behest of China."

And then boom, WhatsApp app will automatically switch to a limited functionality mode.

Whatsapp's limited functionality mode will prevents users from accessing their chat list. WhatsApp stated that if they receive a chat, they will be able to open it through their notifications and also respond to them. In this mode, users will also be able to respond to incoming audio and video calls.

Further refusal to accept the terms, the messaging platform will block such users from receiving calls and messages. And these will render the app completely useless to those affected accounts.
