Rotimi Akeredolu: No sanction for public teachers with wards in private schools https://makesensepromotions.com/rotimi-akeredolu-no-sanction-for-public-teachers-with-wards-in-private-schools/ Ondo Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has said that there was no policy or law in the State that forbids anyone in the service of the government, including teachers from enrolling their wards in private schools. Akeredolu said it was not an offence for public school teachers to enroll their wards in any school of their choice. The Governor, who spoke through a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, was reacting to statement credited to the Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) Hon. Victor Olabimtan, that it has become an offence in the State for teachers to enrol their wards in private schools. Akeredolu, however, said it would be morally wrong for teachers, who are proud of their works and teachings to put their wards in a private school. Akeredolu stated that he has made huge investment in the education sector and that the rot, which pervaded public schools in the state before his administration was fast disappearing. He said his investment has led to increase in student enrollment in most of the public schools. According to him: “Under the Akeredolu administration, over 800 Public Primary Schools have been reconstructed and renovated with perimeter fence, ICT center and play group equipment. The students now enjoy modern desks and chairs procured by the Akeredolu administration. Besides, Governor Akeredolu recently recruited over one thousand teachers in the Public primary schools. “It is based on this background that teachers in the public schools were urged on moral ground to enroll their wards in public schools for confidence building. This will subsequently increase enrollment and further encourage government to embark on more upgrade of public schools. “Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will continue to prioritise education and develop it for the overall interest of the people of the state. It is the belief of the Governor that qualitative education is the key to a better tomorrow.”

Here are 5 risks of wearing waist trainers https://makesensepromotions.com/ladies-here-are-5-risks-of-wearing-waist-trainers/ Waist training is the process of using a steel boned corset to modify your waist into an hourglass shape with semi-permanent results. They are latex body fitting materials that are used for waist training. Waist trainers are mostly used by women who want to get the perfect flat tummy and abs when they have flabby or excess fat in their abdominal area. Wearing a waist trainer out is normal now, but some dangers accompanies it that every woman should know. Causes the organs to shift Waist trainers have the instant effect of making you look slimmer at your waist, but it also tends destroying your body structure from the inside. Constant wearing of the waist trainer will lead to change or shift of the abdominal organs like the intestine to shift downwards because of the pressure the waist trainer puts on the tummy. Does not reduce fat in the long run You don’t reduce or lose tummy fat if you use the waist trainer rather it shifts it somewhere else. Even if you do, it is only temporary. Some experts also believe that regularly wearing a waist trainer can actually decrease core strength, the opposite of that sexy stomach you are aiming for. It’s not good for exercise Contrary to what people think that waist trainers are good when exercising, they are actually more dangerous. Waist trainers do not let you breathe and restrict the abdominal movements. You are supposed to allow room for breathing when exercising because the lungs are also working. Wear tummy belts to help with shaping your tummy instead. Leads to dehydration and difficulty in breathing Waist trainers make it hard for you to breathe and you also feel dehydrated, especially when doing extraneous work or exercises. This is why you have to condition to know how you feel when wearing waist trainers. Waist Trainers do have their benefits, but knowing when to stop using them that is important. You don’t wear waist trainers alone and expect a miracle to happen the way you want. You have to add regular exercises, like planks Leads to back pains Constant wearing of waist trainers might lead to back pains and also changes in body posture. Nigerian Govt Acquires Lie Detectors, Night Vision Goggles For NDLEA https://makesensepromotions.com/nigerian-govt-acquires-lie-detectors-night-vision-goggles-for-ndlea/ Federal government has approved the sum of N33.812 billion for various projects across ministries, including high-tech gadgets for the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). The ministers of works and housing Babatunde Fashola, his industry, trade and investments counterpart Niyi Adebayo and the attorney-general and minister of justice Abubakar Malami disclosed this to State House correspondents yesterday after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Malami said the council authorised the procurement of lie detectors and digital night vision goggles for NDLEA to enhance the agency’s performance. He said FEC approved a total of N1.070 billion for the both projects, emphasising the importance of the acquisitions to the operations of the NDLEA Makesense Promotions gathered that, Malami said, “Two memos were presented this afternoon by the Federal Ministry of Justice on behalf and at the instance of NDLEA. As you rightly know, NDLEA is an agency of the government saddled with the responsibility of exterminating illicit drugs trafficking, sales and consumption. “Arising from the fact that they have been doing wonderfully well, in terms of dealing with the scourge associated with drugs, the federal government has considered the possibility of making added provisions and employing and deploying technological equipment skills and competencies that will assist them in delivery. “So, this morning, two memos were taken. One: a memo seeking the approval of the council for the award of contract for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector. Our technology has improved to the extent that we have in place technological equipment that have the capacity to detect whether you are indeed speaking the truth or indeed you are lying in the course of investigation. “So, for the purpose of enhancing the capacity of the NDLEA in exterminating illicit drugs trafficking, sales and consumption, the federal government has considered the need and possibility of indeed providing this equipment to NDLEA. “So, the memo in that respect was presented, it was taken and the contract was approved for MESSR Zettabytes Technologies Limited to procure for the agency these lie detector equipment. So eventually, on that account, the Federal Council approved the award of contract for the supply of eye-scanning lie detector by the National Drugs Law Drugs law enforcement agency in favour of my MESSR Zettabytes Technologies Limited in the sum of N498,850,000 only, inclusive of 7.5% VAT with a completion period of 90 days. That was the first memo that was taken. “And the second memo is a memo by which the NDLEA through the Office of the Attorney General seeks approval of the council with the award for the supply of digital night vision goggle to the NDLEA, this is equally additional technological device that is intended to support the night operations of NDLEA in view of its capacity to support visibility for the NDLEA. “So, the contract too was presented for consideration of the council and the council had graciously approved the award of the contract with the supply of digital night vision goggles by the national drug law enforcement agency in favor of MESSRS R-SET Integrated solution limited in the sum of N570,825,000 only, inclusive of 7.5% Value Added Tax with completion period of weeks. That is from the office of the attorney general at the instance of the national drug law enforcement agency”, he said. Also, Fashola said three memoranda were presented: one of which was on behalf of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), were all approved. He revealed that the first memorandum approved for his ministry was for the augmentation of the contract of the Zaria-Funtua section of the Zaria-Sokoto-Birnin-Kebbi highway, revealing that the augmentation was for N9.446 billion, an increase, which brings the contract price to a total of N16.924 billion. On his part, Adebayo said the council approved contracts for infrastructure in one of the six special economic zones that the Export Processing Zones Authority is creating for the special economic zones in Lekki, Lagos State. According to him, the two contracts for the power supply and access road into the textiles and garment park will cost an aggregate of N3.4 billion, adding that the economic zone, when finally delivered, would generate about 3,500 jobs in the short term and around 10,000 in the long term.

Possible problems you get for sleeping with a close friend Opposites ex friendships are usually all well and good , really, until sexual attraction builds up and sex sneaks into the picture. “Oh, we are mature” and “it’s just sex, we can always handle ourselves,” are the well-used responses you get from people who have been going down with their friends. But here’s the thing, no matter how chill or mature you think you are, you can’t escape all the pitfalls that come with sleeping with a friend. So before you do it with that close friend, here are some of the awkward moments and problems you really should consider. 1. When they get someone else So you sleep with them and a new partner comes into the picture shortly after. That awkward moment when she introduces you to the new guy as her close friend but you both know you are not just a good friend. And then there’s the problem of that partner finding out later that he/she isn’t just your friend. So you’re faced with confessing and losing one of your friend or partner, or facing that awkward moment when your partner confronts you with the truth that he/she found out from someone else. Oh dear. 2. Recurrence The understated struggle that comes out of this kind of situation is how to minimise the ‘damage’ that has been done. Quite a number of first-time friends sex happen in moments of rashness or uncontrolled excitement and friends would ideally love to keep it at that single time, but to continue being friends and keep the sex from recurring is one helluva difficult task you’d better avoid. 3. Opinions and judgements become questioned It becomes strange to go to this person, who you slept with, to talk about your heartbreaks and dating life. It used to be normal and OK to seek their opinions before the sex happened, but not anymore. Their opinion somehow appears coloured by personal interests in you. 4. Pure intentions? You also call their actions to question. Whatever he or she does might get interpreted as a calculated move to get back in bed with you – especially if the first time was really bomb. 5. Things won’t be the same again Seven out of 10 times, you won’t be able to get your friendship back to what it was before. Once you go down that thin road, that relationship dynamic changes. Usually from good to bad. https://makesensepromotions.com/possible-problems-you-get-for-sleeping-with-a-close-friend/

See the Himba tribe that offers FREE S*X to guests and doesn't bath The Himba people in Namibia are a unique set of humans whose culture has a twist that most of people will frown upon. The Himba are often called the Ovahimba or Omhimba people who live in the Kunene region of Namibia. If you are wondering why this tribe is strange, we can tell you one of their cultures. They give sex for free to their guests and also they adorn newborn with bead necklaces. As if these are not enough, the tribe lives in isolation and is wary of external contacts. The people work hard to ensure that their beliefs and culture is not contaminated in any form by outsiders. You can see why we are curious to know this people who have not accepted civilization. Makesense Promotions gathered that, The Himba people are predominately livestock breeders and farmers while their women are preoccupied with gathering firewood, cooking and serving meals and sourcing for freshwater. Some of the villagers are socially inclined and very religious, reversing and worshiping their ancient gods. Polygamy is welcome and young girls are married off at their early ages. Though polygamy is not peculiar in Africa, it is practiced widely on the continent. However, not taking their bath is strange. Before you are taking aback, the reason why they don’t bath with water is because of the harsh climatic situation in their region. The Himba people lives in one of the most extreme environments; the harsh desert climate and the lack of potable water are the reasons why this tribe have difficulty getting a bath. Their lack of bath routine doesn’t mean that they look less pretty. When you find them on their traditional attire, they look great while some have their bodies exposed like the women. Since the taking of a bath is difficult, they make use of the red ochre on their skins and then make use of a daily smoke bath in order to maintain their hygiene. A shouldering charcoal is dropped into a bowl filled with herbs and the smoke is allowed to ascend and the people bow over this smoking bowl and because of heat, the body perspires and helps in washing the body. The people are friendly to strangers and visitors but will not allow any interference in their culture. https://makesensepromotions.com/see-the-himba-tribe-that-offers-free-sx-to-guests-and-doesnt-bath/

N75m Mortgage Loans Provided For Nigerians By FCMB N75m Mortgage Loans Provided For Nigerians By FCMB in a bid to bridge housing deficit in the country. The move has simplified homeownership for millions of Nigerians who want to own their homes. Makesense Promotions gathered that, According to a Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) report Nigeria requires about 700,000 housing units annually for 20 years to accommodate the rising population, which is presently about 197 million. First City Monument Bank seeks to bridge the nation’s housing deficit through its unique homeownership value proposition. To this end, the bank urged the populace, including salaried individuals, to take advantage of its convenient and flexible mortgage loan product to fulfil their homeownership dream. Customers, it stressed, can get the funds needed to finance the cost of buying land to build a home quickly at an affordable interest rate with monthly or quarterly payment options depending on their income. Commenting on FCMB’s mortgage loan product, the divisional head, Personal Banking of the bank, Mr Shamsideen Fashola, said: “homeownership is one of the most important accomplishments of an individual as it goes a long way to secure the future. “As a responsive and customer-centric institution, our mortgage loan product is tailored towards helping our customers become landlords, thereby making them secure, accomplished, and fulfilled.” The mortgage loan, he stressed, is easy to obtain, and repayment is flexible, adding that, “we want to be part of the success story of our customers. We, therefore, advise them to take advantage of the opportunities we offer in the mortgage segment.” The bank’s decision to make the mortgage loans easily accessible to Nigerians directly responds to the impact COVID-19 has had on personal and household incomes and business, he pointed out. https://makesensepromotions.com/n75m-mortgage-loans-provided-for-nigerians-by-fcmb/

Fuel scarcity persists as many petrol stations remain shut in Lagos The fuel scarcity that hit Lagos, Abuja and other cities across the country last week is yet to be resolved as Nigerians continue to queue for hours at petrol stations to buy fuel. The development came following the importation and supply of a wrong specification of petrol in some parts of the country. Meanwhile, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) had directed that the adulterated fuel be withdrawn from circulation. The recall process prompted many fuel stations to shut their gates because they had no fuel to sell. But in a statement issued to address the adulterated fuel saga and the petrol scarcity that followed it, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) had promised to monitor the situation and “ensure quality petroleum products are adequately supplied and distributed nationwide. The NMDPRA also said “The NNPC Limited and all oil marketing companies have been directed to sustain sufficient distribution of petrol in all retail outlets nationwide” to bridge any unforeseen supply gap. However, it’s been one week since the lingering fuel scarcity started and the situation has not got any better. In Lagos, a significant percentage of petrol stations in the commercial hub of the country currently has no fuel to dispense, while the few who have fuel to sell hike the price. Those who do not hike their prices are charging extra amounts for using their Point of Sale (POS) machines. David Sunday, a Lagos resident who spoke to this writer said he bought a litre of petrol at N300 on Saturday at a petrol station in Ikorodu. On Sunday, motorists were seen in many parts of the state queuing at petrol stations for several hours to buy petrol. The long queue along Egbeda-Isheri road caused severe traffic in the area as motorists besieged the entrance of the only two fuel stations that opened for business on Sunday in the area. Explaining the reason fuel scarcity persists across the country, a staff member of a petrol station, who pleaded anonymity told this writer that petroleum marketers are yet to get enough petrol to sell due to PMS supply shortage. He said, “Marketers are yet to get enough fuel to sell. Ordinarily if we are to buy like ten trucks, we manage to get two or three, and you know you can’t keep paying for products. Even the ones you paid for have not received. What is happening at the depot I can not tell you, but what I know is that after paying for products, you’ll get a sale order and you’ll go and pick your product. But now, even after making several payments, you can only pick one or two. Since it’s also on the first come first served basis, it’ll get to a point they’ll say everybody go home and come back tomorrow. That’s the case right now.” The NNPC has, however, called for patience, saying normalcy would return soon. The spokesperson of the corporation, Garba-Deen Muhammad in an interview with Punch said the queues would abate soon. Muhammad said, “Every possible measure that is to be taken is being taken. Our top management and other staff are (working) round the clock to ensure the return to normalcy. Be patient. The queues will abate very soon.” He also said a technical committee had been set up to look into the recall of the contaminated products and how it would be managed. https://makesensepromotions.com/fuel-scarcity-persists-as-many-petrol-stations-remain-shut-in-lagos/

In the soft drinks segment, volume is expected to amount to 14,713.5 million litres by 2026. The soft drinks segment is expected to show a volume growth of 0.5 per cent in 2022. That will then amount to 73,567,500 million litres of soft drinks that would be consumed in Nigeria this year. The average volume per person in the soft drinks segment was projected at 57.02 litres in 2021. In 2021, Nigeria’s population was estimated at 213 million individuals. Multiplied by the estimated population and the N10 tax rate, the federal government would be making over N121.45 billion revenue from that segment alone in a year. In relation to total population figures per person, revenues of N47,258, or $113.76 (when multiplied by the official exchange rate of N415.53/$) were generated in 2021. By 2026, two per cent of spending and one percent of volume consumption in the soft drinks segment will be attributable to out-of-home consumption (e.g., in bars and restaurants). Minister of industry trade and investment, Otunba Adebayo has disclosed that Nigeria’s annual production of milk stands at 672 million litres, against the annual demand of 1.6 billion litres, which hugely suggests that the nation’s production cannot effectively meet the demand. The 1.6 billion litres of milk Adebayo said is consumed annually, when multiplied by the N10 sugar tax, will earn Nigeria N16 billion. A report by Chi Limited, makers of juice products, say the share of juice consumption in Nigeria out of the total liquid market is only three per cent. The report also showed that Nigerians drink more carbonated soft drinks (CSD) with 21 per cent of the liquid market. The global percentage of CSD is 11 per cent. The dairy share of the food drink market is 21 per cent in Nigeria. Similar to that is the demand for bulk tea in the Nigerian market which the secretary-general of the National Coffee and Tea Association of Nigeria, Dr Usman Hassan Kakara, says is over 3.8 million tonnes. There are 1,000 litres in one metric tonne. Companies like Top Tea and Uniliver use the semi-processed, which is the bulk tea, as raw materials. Companies like Uniliver, Hiltop Tea, Top Tea etc., import 3.8 million tonnes as source of raw materials. With each kilogramme sold for N1,100 per kg, Nigerian is in line to rake N3.8 billion. While the Manufacturing Association of Nigerian (MAN) and labour union express fear that the new tax on soft drinks and beverages will affect the cost of products and affect companies’ workforce, experts say there is no need for such concerns. Nigeria’s population is enticing. It is more enticing for any manufacturer with a product that targets young people such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sprite and Malt. Nigeria has the youngest population in Africa. One of the advantages made by the authorities is that the new model has the potential to make organisations cut down their plastic footprint, empowering customers to use their own bottles or cups. Nigeria’s labour union believes implementing increased taxes on non-alcoholic and carbonated drinks, which is one of the provisions in the 2021 Finance Act, will impose more hardship on the citizens and result in job losses. source; https://makesensepromotions.com/nigeria-targets-n141-250bn-from-sugar-tax-on-soft-drinks-others/ |

four strange sexual traditions that are still practised in Africa: source : https://makesensepromotions.com/list-of-strange-sexual-traditions-that-are-still-practised-in-africa/ Virginity testing Locally known as Umhlanga, virginity testing is a popular tradition in South Africa, especially among the Zulu ethnic group who reside mainly in KwaZulu Natal province. The actual testing is done in an isolated room using bare hands. The girl, who is being tested lay down on her back with her legs wide open. The tester then opens her vagina with both hands and looks inside, apparently to see the girl's hymen is intact. If all is well, the girl is given a virginity certificate. Virgity testing Sexual cleansing This popular custom is practised in rural Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, and other African countries. Locally referred to as "Kusasa Fumbi," it involves a woman having unprotected sex with a man called a "hyena." This person could be a professional male sex worker, a selected future husband, a widow's brother-in-law or someone paid by the woman's family. It is carried out on three separate occasions - when a girl gets her first menstrual period when a married woman loses her husband, or after an abortion. The traditional custom is meant to help girls become good wives. Library photo Library photo Potency Test Carried out by the Banyankole tribe in Uganda is a practice similar to the virginity test. Unlike the latter carried out women, this is done before marriage on the groom. It requires an aunt of the bride to confirming the potency of the husband to be by actually having sex with him. The bride and groom are only allowed to consummate their marriage if he passes the test. The test might also include the aunts watching or listening as the newlyweds have sexual intercourse. This is an annual ritual practised by the Wodaabe tribe, a subgroup of the Fulani ethnic group. Here, women are allowed to have as many husbands as they wish. They are required to pick their preferred mates from a group of men who put on a spectacular mating dance hoping to be selected. Women can have sex with any mate as she pleases before finally settling on the right one. Wife stealing |
List Of African countries that are the hardest for Nigerians to get into According to our research and facts gathered, There are not a lot of countries one can travel to, visa- and hassle-free, as a Nigerian. For clarity, there are 17 African countries that give visa-free entry to Nigerian passport holders. Apart from those 17, there are quite a number whose travel processes are not as intense. However, these 5 listed below have proved to be the hardest countries on the continent for Nigerians to travel to. 1. South Sudan South Sudan doesn’t offer visa-on-arrival for Nigerians. You have to visit the embassy and apply for a visa like any other foreign country, and if you don’t have the appropriate documents or reason for travel, you can get rejected. 2. Botswana Botswana is a country famous for wildlife experiences in the Southern part of Africa. To travel here as a Nigerian, you need to apply for a tourist visa. In fact, their official website says: “All Citizens of Commonwealth countries do not require visa except those from Bangladesh, Cameroon, Ghana, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.” So… 3. Swaziland Out of the many African countries that do not need visas to travel to this small land-locked country in South Africa, Nigeria is NOT one of them. You need to apply for a tourist visa at their embassy too. 4. Libya In 2018, there was a surge of accounts about Nigerians travelling through the desert to get to Libya so they can migrate to Europe as well as getting entangled slave rings while in Libya. Just days ago, 160 Nigerians were repatriated from Libya. So, it’s understandable that individuals with questionable or unclear motives for wanting to travel to Libya are rejected. 5. Namibia Namibia has actually jumped to the top of countries Africans want to explore. However, as a Nigerian traveller, we can’t say the process is exactly easy. source: https://makesensepromotions.com/list-of-african-countries-that-are-the-hardest-for-nigerians-to-get-into/ |

When you first meet them after decades of fraternizing with Yoruba men you might be skeptical at first and but stick with them for premium enjoyment. 1. Igbo men will not cheat on you Unlike their counterparts, Igbo men are focused on the money and the money alone. If they are with you then they are with you. If they aren’t with you, you will know 2.Igbo men will want you to cook A proper Igbo man loves his soups and swallows and he would love it if you make it for him. 3. Igbo men will not spend money on you This is the part most women will run away. Igbo men are walking calculators and every money has to be budgeted for, he will not start giving you free money like our counterpart brothers. Most times he will buy you want you need, but see the free money thing? It might take a while. 4. Igbo men will call your sweet pet names Igbo men are full of sweet pet names ‘babym’ ‘mummy’ he says with a thick Igbo accent. He goes on and on and can praise your beauty for an hour straight in Igbo. Of course, you don’t know what he’s saying if you are not Igbo but you laugh and giggle while enjoying the attention. 5. Igbo men will not lie to you Unlike the counterparts, if all he wants is for you to be his baby mama, he will let you know. If he plans on dating two women, he will also let you know. If he cannot marry you, he will not lead you on as he is too busy chasing the bag to start building webs of lies. So weigh the pros and cons and decide if he is worth it.

NEC Recommends N302 Fuel Pump Price The federal government has said it will soon begin consultation with the relevant agencies on the proposed removal of subsidy on petrol. The minister of information and culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed dropped the hint yesterday in Abuja after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting Mohammed said he needed to consult with the relevant government agencies to determine the exact position of the subsidy removal question. He said, “As for the removal of fuel subsidy, I think you will give me time to consult with relevant departments and ministries and I will get back to you.” The minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, had announced last October that the federal government made provision for petrol subsidy only for the first six months of 2022 as it looked towards a complete deregulation of the sector. Also yesterday, Makesense Promotions gathered , exclusively reported that the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) better known as petrol may rise to N302 per litre in February 2022 as part of the recommendation of the National Economic Council (NEC) in November 2021. read more : https://makesensepromotions.com/nec-recommends-n302-fuel-pump-price/ |
Should you brush your teeth before or after breakfast? Some people say that brushing your teeth first thing in the morning is best since you’ll have less chance of tooth staining from food and drinks later on during the day. Others say it doesn’t really matter when you do it as long as you do it at least twice a day. But what do experts say about when you should brush your teeth? Why brushing before breakfast may be better? When you sleep, the bacteria in your mouth releases acid that can damage the enamel of your teeth. Brushing after you wake up eliminates that morning breath and protects your enamel from any acid in your food. Brushing before breakfast is also known to jumpstart your saliva production, and saliva helps you break down food. According to experts, the best time to brush your teeth is an hour after eating breakfast, especially after eating acidic foods. If you brush immediately after having breakfast, you’ll be covering your teeth with remnants of acidic food and weakening your enamel. continue reading ; https://makesensepromotions.com/should-you-brush-your-teeth-before-or-after-breakfast/

Buhari Didnt Give The Order For Removal Of Fuel Subsidy – Senate President, Lawan ccording to reports gathered by Makesense Promotions, Senate President Ahmad Lawan has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari Didnt Give the order for removal of fuel subsidy. The federal government had said it would stop the payment of fuel subsidy from June this year. However, speaking to State House correspondents yesterday after meeting with the president, Lawan said the government should not transfer the burden to the people. According to him, based on the lawmakers’ interactions with their constituents, the people are opposed to the removal of subsidies. The Senate president also faulted the claims that Nigerians use 100 million litres of petrol daily. He insisted that the government must find a solution to the impasse. He said, “Well, it will be of interest to Nigerians to hear what I’ve come to discuss with Mr. President among several other things. Many of us are very concerned with the recent agitations, protests. “And many citizens were so concerned, our constituents across the country are very concerned that the federal government will remove the petroleum subsidy. And for us, as parliamentarians, as legislators representing the people of Nigeria, this must be of interest to us. “And we’ve just finished our recess, we have gone home to our constituencies and senatorial districts. And will feel the pulse of our people. “And I found it necessary to visit Mr. President, as the leader of our government and our leader in the country, to discuss this particular issue of concern to Nigerians, and I’m happy to inform Nigerians that Mr. President never told anyone that the petroleum subsidy should be removed. “I know and I agree that the subsidy is very heavy. But I think we must never transfer the burden to the citizens. I believe that we need to look at the quoted figure of maybe 100 million litres that people claim we’re consuming. Is it real? I mean is it either under-recovery or subsidy? Is it 100 million litres per day? How on earth are we consuming that? “We need to look at this critically and see how we can find the truth. Because I am not convinced that within the boundaries of Nigeria, we are consuming 100 million litres. “Probably neighbouring countries may be benefiting from this. Can’t we do something about it? It is a failure if we are not able to control it, this particular aspect of smuggling is the petrol and then in return, pushes the burden to the ordinary citizen. “So, I want to commend Mr. President, for still keeping this philosophy of ensuring that the most ordinary Nigerian does not suffer in any way.” He said government is meant to serve people and the essence of government is to protect the lives and property and welfare of the people. He said they need to come together, both the National Assembly, institutions and organisations that are responsible for dealing with this matter to find a solution to this. He also confirmed that the amended Electoral Act Bill will be sent to the president this week for assent. source: https://makesensepromotions.com/buhari-didnt-give-the-order-for-removal-of-fuel-subsidy-senate-president-lawan/ |

The women who made their position at the ongoing Progressive Women Conference at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja, sought the adoption of new strategies to ensure more women participation in decision-making processes in the country. The First Lady of Nigeria, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, Vice President of Liberia, Dr Jewel Taylor, national women leader of the governing APC, Hon Stella Okotete, governors and dignitaries from across the country unanimously agreed that the country’s future is dependent on actualising the potential of women. Speaking at the APC national women conference with the theme, “Women Political leaders; Leveraging the Networks to Transform Nigeria”, Aisha Buhari warned that governors will be held responsible if women do not get the 35 per cent affirmative action on elective positions and appointments into public offices. Important things to know if you want to date an older woman source: https://makesensepromotions.com/important-things-to-know-if-you-want-to-date-an-older-woman/ It’s flattering for an older woman when a guy passes up on the younger girls in favour of her. This attention makes her feel sexy, and that feeling will instantly fuel your interactions with more passion and excitement. Now while older women are often interested in (or at least open to) dating younger men, that doesn’t mean they’re interested in dating “boys”. They want strong, powerful men and you’ve got to show her you’re that kind of man – who just happens to be a bit younger. While you end up getting attracted and falling for older women due to a few specific traits you don’t see in younger women, it is important to understand them well as they work very differently from the younger women or ‘girls’. Below are 4 things to know before dating an older woman: She won’t entertain flings or casual dating Seriously! If you are not serious, don’t even try to fool around. Since is older than you, she is probably done fooling around long back. She now will look for a real and serious relationship. This said, she will put in her 100% to make your relationship work. So only and only if you see a possible future with her as your soulmate go ahead with her. Otherwise, abort the plan of dating her now! Maturity will never be an issue When it comes to acting and taking a few decisions in your relationship, her being older will be a plus point. Being older to you, she will obviously have more life experiences. Due to this, she will be emotionally independent, strong and mature. Additionally, she will not expect you to deal with her problems because she has the ability to do it herself. Any kind of problem-solving in your life too will become easier. Given the maturity, you will find yourself stuck in very fewer arguments, especially over petty issues. She knows what she wants Clarity of mind is the one thing that is the strongest in her. If she loves you she will decide to date you and then won’t turn back. As she understands herself well, she will also know what she wants from her relationship. Moreover, she will also convey this to you and be straightforward. There will be no confusion from her side when it comes to her relationship with you. Sex won’t be that complicated Since she is going to be older than you, she is most likely to have some amount of experience not just outside the bedroom but also inside it. She will know what to expect from you, her needs and also how to conduct herself around you. She will also have more knowledge about sex than you. This will not just help you but also educate you and make you more aware. |

11 things women do that turn men on source; https://makesensepromotions.com/11-things-women-do-that-turn-men-on/ Here’s a list of things girls do that turn men on: 1. A lady with ambition and one who is independent. A lady that has her ducks in a row and can bankroll herself is a major turn on. But, be sure that you don’t come off as a braggart talking all about your achievements and showing off, that’s when independence becomes a turn off. Remember men are not into high maintenance women. 2. Confidence. 3. Wearing leggings or yoga pants. Leggings will clearly outline your silhouette and men get to see what they’re working with without even seeing you naked and that’s a turn on. 4. A girl that can play PS with the guys or knows a thing or two about sports. Okay you don’t have to know all the footballers out there but men will appreciate a girl that can just kick it with boys, play PS together or watch a football game without nagging or complaining every other second. On this point, the men also appreciate competitiveness – you know when you’re playing say a game of cards with your man and you nudge him after you win? Not like in a fighting way but just being a little bit extra? Yeah that shit is cute. 5. A girl with an appetite. First of all, a man will appreciate when you can cook a good meal for him. You don’t have to match Gordon Ramsay’s culinary prowess it’s the thought that counts. It’s also super cute when you can chow down a bowl of food. Men generally love food and eat a lot so if you have a great appetite, that’s a good thing for most guys. 6. When you have the same music taste. Might sound surprising, but imagine going on a road trip with a hip hop head and you like country music? Boring much? Liking the same music plays a huge part in building the chemistry between the two of you. 7. Laughing. It’ll boost a guy’s confidence to know that he can make you happy. Even if the joke was lame, smile. Happy girls are the prettiest, they say! 8. Smelling good. 9. Wearing their clothes. You know those lazy weekends when you wake up and wear his shirt or t-shirt? No makeup on, hair down etc, men like that. Of course, every now and then you can get dolled up for your man but you should also show him that you’re confident in your own skin, without the makeup or stylish clothes. In fact, once in a while surprise him by showing up in say baggy or boyfriend jeans or something if he’s always used to seeing you in girly outfits. The fact you can switch up outfits and look good in anything is a major turn on for most guys. 10. Positivity. It’s not always easy to remain positive when things go awry so when guys find a chic that stays positive through thick and thin, that’s a major turn on. 11. Eye contact. |
