emmanuelewumi:Ok. I will get an answer and get back. Thanks. |
emmanuelewumi: ojesymsym:Someone raised your observations mid year on their telegram group. This is the response they gave. "Our Eurobonds are not Nigeria based. They're across several markets. And we had a number of them who were already ranging around 9-10% who actually got increased yields because of lower demand. Lots of other "Eurobonds" offerings are Nigerian Eurobonds which range from 4-8% depending on who is pushing it. Secondly, a lot of vendors actually take a cut of Eurobonds they offer. So if they get 10% rates, they offer users 6,7% or even less. In our case since we charge a standard fee based on AUM, we keep all the returns to our users. And that's true for all our plans." If you have any other questions, ask me. If i don't know i will find out. |

My mum just reminded me about a story she used to tell me about Buhari. Of how back in the day the Pope and the international community begged him not to backdate a death penalty law on drugs. He refused and executed the criminals. Once a General, always a General. |
myBraine:Enemy of Progress!! Your plan will not work. She will get that post and she will succeed. |
Raalsalghul: This is the strongest motivation for those having second thoughts. This country no be am at all. |
emmanuelewumi:Hmmm! All i know is there are diverse interests. You can't tell me PDP is not happy. Atiku must be jubilating wherever he is. Perhaps he even sent Bitcoin sef. ![]() |
* Buhari did not mention who sent the soldiers. Hmmm! He is the commander in chief so he will not want to indict himself. * He mentioned that there are a lot of fake news circulating around social media (which is true). * He told the international community to not jump to conclusion. At the end of it all, the main koko is we are sorry, justice will be served but leave the streets and get back to business. The most uninspiring speech ever!!! But i hope it works and everything settles. |
DexterousOne:I think some countries are destined to fight or suffer forever (or at least for a long time) and Libya is finally living its destiny. Crazy thought but that's the only way i can rationalize there being enjoyment countries like Canada and Iceland and suffering countries like Congo, Syria and Libya. |
handsomebolanle:She has own share of the blame o! Govt called for dialogue. They refused. Did she think they could protest forever PEACEFULLY Without other interests hijacking it Nigeria is not America or Canada that are civilized. You can't solve Nigeria's problems in a day. There are so many areas needing attention. Healthcare, roads, education etc. I think she hopes the protest would reach a stage where the UN or the International community will ask Buhari to step down. But she doesn't truly understand her opponent. Baba get big head but e no dey hear word. |
ahiboilandgas:She reminds me of Oshiomole of Labor days. Rebels without a cause. People that love to fight the establishment. Immediately the protest started, she jumped in. It's like things like that energizes them. Like it fires up their soul and spirit. She didn't want the protest to end for her own reasons. Going from one state to another to fire up the youths. I admire her courage in a way, but when someone is pushing you, you need to understand their motivation. She is like a warlord or military general. They only have the goal in sight. And the soldiers (protesters) are the means to an end. They will cry over your grave but continue on their mission. No retreat, no surrender. |
DexterousOne:Libya's situation is just a pity. Perhaps it would have been better to leave Gaddafi there and try sanctions. |
emmanuelewumi:True. Strike, Riot and Civil Commotion. There is even policy for Terrorism. Just be ready to pay. |
I don't why anyone will come to this thread to look for information on Treasury bills when the rate has declined. And if they come here and have any questions on TB all they need to do is ask. I think some Nigerians just love to be sanctimonious over nothing. |
Canada has never seemed so wonderful to me as it does at this moment. |

Dum20:You may start a discussion if you wish and people will discuss it if they like |
I love Aisha Yesufu but i think she is going about things the wrong way. She is thinking emotionally not strategically. I watched some of her interviews with TVC and Arise during the early stage of the protest. She couldn't give a logical reason why protest should continue after the GOvt accepted the 5 demands. She was just beating about the bush. Talking about Govt cannot be trusted. Ok now, appoint leaders to go and make sure Govt sticks to their promise. No way. They said leaders have failed us. Instead of her to come out plain and say she want Buhari to step down. She can't say that. All fire and brimstone, no strategy. There is a reason why they teach Strategy and stakeholder management in Management schools. She was just fanning the flames. Haba. |
Buhari is not affected by all of this. This is his second term. When he leaves, he will collect pension all his life. So those who feel they are hurting him are only hurting themselves and others citizens. |
ahiboilandgas:Anybody happy with the looting has the capability to jet out of the country at anytime. Or they are already outside the country. Or they feel the violence won't affect them. So the blood and livelihood of others can be the cost of a better Nigeria. |
emmanuelewumi:First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me People on social media were hailing when they attacked Bola Tinubu's businesses and Sanwoolu's family house. Because it did not reach their side. It is well with this country. |
ojesymsym:The head is rich. But i don't know if the footsoldiers can be called rich o! And an agbero is an agbero. I don't know what you mean by condescending manner. Are we supposed to approve of that lifestyle? |
I believe them. Nigerians reason with emotions. They said the cameras removed are infrared cameras used to capture vehicle tags. That the CCTV are overhead and still there. The Governor said the footage is being examined. I BELIEVE THEM. I BELIEVE THEM. |
ATEAMS:Love this picture. So calming!!! |
All those social media influencers are either abroad or have the means of jetting abroad. Instead of them to call for dialogue, they where busy sponsoring protests all throughout Nigeria. The stories about SARS are horrible but you cannot wave a magic wand and solve the problem. I am starting to see what Segalink saw that made him pull out and call for dialogue The protest was bound to degenerate. We not only have bad police officers, we also have bad violent people living among us. Agberos, Thugs who smoke hemp everyday. Add them to poor hungry people, then you are calling for an explosion. The protest organizers were deceived by the people they saw in Lekki. They think everybody is ajebutter. One Dr. Olufunmi was even saying that if people protest for 30days, UN will step in. Which means, dialogue is not your goal. No matter what the Govt does, you will never believe. Is that not foolishness? Pardon the lengthy post, i am trying to relieve my tension. |
It is now i believe the feminist_co and others missed the chance for dialogue. They could have drafted a holistic document on police and economic reform and discussed it with the Govt live on TV. But the protesters kept saying no dialogue, no leadership. Now see what has happened. People like Aisha Yesufu will never sit down with the Govt. They are street activist. What was needed after the disbanding of SARS was an advocate like Segalink and others. This country is bad but it should not be made into Libya or Congo. Something the Govt could have done is instant dismissal of the IGP, police commissioners and DPOs of police stations with notorious reputation like Akwuzu. If the Govt did that, that would be a clear indication that they are serious. Tabuse2024: |
